On a much more important note, that makes me wonder which city has been reduced to rubble more in cinema: New York, or Tokyo? Actually, in DYRL didn't Hikaru and Misa visit the rubble of both? I think it's the nature of being otaku, more than anything. But, at the end of the day a Robotech movie won't really affect the existence of Macross in Japan, at all. I'm sure there will still be a Frontier OVA, and probably another series or OVA of some kind for the 30th anniversary. For us though... meh... I think I'd pay multiple times, however, to see a Bollywood Robotech... I can see all the Valkyries dancing now...

Vietnamese this time around it looks like... however I thought they did a really good job. The music really stood out to me this episode, really fits the mood of the episode perfectly. And, of course during the closing credits. My Japanese needs to get better, faster... sigh

I <3 Shinsen for playing off a thumb drive on my DVD player. Somehow I think 9 was the most poorly translated across the board... Shinsen has an interesting choice of words but a few scenes I was still scratching my head over made alot more sense (especially the scene with Pixie Squadron).

They did get Peter Cullen to do the voice for Optimus Prime... that was cool. Maybe I'm anal but I just couldn't suspend disbelief that everybody somehow got from Hoover Dam to downtown LA so instantaneously. No wonder Americans are so stereotypically bad with geography edit: I have the same issue with "24" too though. There's absolutely no way Jack Bauer can get around LA that fast!!!

Sorry to hear that, but somehow that rant just made me wonder how the Robotech movie would be with a self righteous Kevin Costner type "Dances With Wolves" or "Waterworld" treatment... *shudder* I honestly don't think this movie is going anywhere, either. I still hope that some clarification on Macross rights in the US comes from it, though. I don't know if the words "serious" and/or "good" belong in the same sentence with GoBots. To each their own tho.

You know, I'm curious to know Sheryl's take on having 5 songs included on this album... For that matter I kind of wonder if #12 isn't a playful jab at Yoko Kanno... I think Private Army is my favorite non vocal track on the album thus far but I'm a sucker for the Flamenco style. Regardless, appreciated on the translations Gubaba.
