  1. FYI the shipping from Amazon JP via the global portal was VERY cheap. I ordered the book, a game controller and PSVita grip and shipping was ¥1804. I believe they only use EMS. Spanner - cancelling your preorder should be no problem. I did it because I ordered the wrong gaming item so had to cancel the whole order and reorder the items again to get combined shipping rate.
  2. spanner, you should be able to pre-order from Amazon JP. I just put in my pre-order just then shipped to Australia (also threw in some gaming items too). Just make sure to pre-order through the AmazonGlobal portal. https://www.amazon.co.jp/b/ref=agbhqpEN?node=3534638051
  3. It just became stagnant with constant variant releases of the RX-0... Last amazing release was GFF MC Origin RX-78. Rivalling Metal Build quality.
  4. Anyone got their Preorder in for Moshow Metal Build Pro 1/100 MS-OOQ? https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1080340615379429&id=917096455037180&refid=17&_ft_=top_level_post_id.1080340615379429%3Atl_objid.1080340615379429%3Athid.917096455037180%3A306061129499414%3A2%3A0%3A1472713199%3A6874716657147050667&__tn__=C I've put my preorder in with a local seller here in Australia. Funny that there are 2 companies doing a version of Quanta. Would like if they took on some UC stuff, since Bandai would be releasing US under the GFF MC line, which hasn't seen any innovation since the RX-78 Origin release - So far it has been continual releases of Unicorn, which is built on an old mold, which is showing its age.
  5. Deleted and reposted to "The Third Party Gundam Thread" (forgot about that one)

    Bandai DX VF-31

You aren't alone. I too prefer cannon fodder units. Mostly for the more subdued colour schemes and also less units to collect. But I also like the YF-19, as it is already a very reserved colour scheme.
  7. C'mon Bandai. You know we just want Blue Frame Second L. BIG SWOOOOORD!
  8. Did anyone do a review of the Metal Robot Hi Nu? The EX-s looks great, but I swore off smaller than 1/100 Gundam after collecting Metal Build/Composite Gundams. The 1/100 scale is just so nice
  9. I was able to cancel my preorder with Nippon Yasan on grounds of the shipping being much more than estimated, but.... Got a voucher instead of refund. Ahh well. Will probably buy something next time.
  10. just got smacked with a ¥2,980 invoice from NY, for additional shipping charges over what was estimated to AU. Original estimate was ¥2,220. I think i will contact and ask to downgrade to Airmail. EDIT: OK scratch that idea. EMS is cheaper than Airmail, and only ¥200 more than Ecomail XD. Ahh well....
  11. 1/100 has my interest and the impressions from the 1/72 mecha warrior are great. They'll only improve on their designs now. Nice too see a company filling the gap in Bandai's Metal Build offerings
  12. I'll have to check mine out tomorrow. I inspected the beam rifle and shield only briefing, and one thing I noticed on the shield was the extremely pointy tips on the shield. Could draw blood? The beam rifle is so nicely sculpted too, so disappointed that it went back into the box as it doesn't mount to the rear of the skirting armour like most other CE mobile suits. That is hilarious!!!! They should have made it a strange scale like, 1/95 or something. it would be been slightly off, but still close enough to match 1/100 Still very interested in seeing the reviews when the Mecha Warrior comes out. Hope it gives Bandai some inspiration to out do it and design an amazing reimagined Strike Gundam sculpt like they did with Freedom, Destiny and Strike Freedom.
  13. It's a little disappointing that it has to be 1/72 scale and not 1/100 scale to go along with Bandai's official offerings. I'd probably bite if it was.
  14. Received my MB Astray Red Frame on Monday and had some time to get it posed for display on my work desk. It's a beautiful MB. Lots of detail and very aggressive looking. Really happy that the price was in the same league as the MBs of old (Exia, Freedom). The more recent ones (Strike Freedom, Destiny etc) have been crazy expensive. Here is my mini review Pros: Great sculpt. Really chunky and beefy, and excellent detail on the accessories. The gerbera straight even has kanji inscribed on the tang Colours are really bright and vivid Articulation is great for the most part. Double jointed elbows and knees Very heavy due to lots of die cast Lots of Tampo, but not over done Nice and tight joints (also see cons) Lots of different hands for some dynamic poses Hands are made of a gummy style plastic so have a tight grip, so they should provide a solid grip on the weapons (granted I didn't even test this since I went straight for the pose in my photo - hahaha - Love Kenshin's batoujutsu stance) Knee covers can be removed so if the knees do become loose over time you can tighten the joint (had to do this on my MB Exia recently) Cons Can't store the beam rifle when wielding the gerbera straight, but that's a limitation of the original design Skirting armour does create some range limitations in the legs, so getting a horse stance isn't possible Very tight joints out of the box, so can be scary to move it the first time V fin is really hard to attach to the head. I had to remove the head to get a good grip to push the fin into the slot in the head the collar on either side of the head can limit the range the head can turn, but can be overcome with some careful tilting before turning. The collars are flexible, but still need to be careful as they have a panel line running down the middle which could be a snap point Backpack was a bit fiddly to connect due to the sliding and moving function of the parts Really looking forward to a MB Astray Blue Frame Second L release next time. C'mon Bandai, we want MB Strike already!
  15. That's an impressive looking RD. Normally RD are devoid of tampo. Must be because this a ver ka release.
  16. Yes definitely need MB GP01, but since it is UC it would be a GFF MC and potentially have limited articulation and no stand like the GFF MC Unicorn releases. The only GFF MC to compete with MB in terms of articulation was the RX-78 The Origin Gundam. So slick with the many different armour parts and weapons. I would hope 0083 line GFF MCs would follow suit.
  17. Still waiting for MB Strike Gundam with all 3 striker packs or Perfect Strike Gundam.

    Hi-Metal R

Yay! Got my preorder in with HLJ.
  20. LOL. No I mean cheaper because I don't end up collecting the many number of hero valks and just the small number of CF style schemes.
  21. I'm hanging out for VF-0A CF so count me in! I try not to collect hero units as I prefer the standard military looking colour schemes over the flashy hero paint schemes. It's also cheaper that way
