  1. It is funny there will be 3 Metal Build Quanta Gundams now. MoShow, Fan-Made, and Bandai's official release. I'm interested to get all 3 just to compare them against each other. Here is the Fan Made release under their Metal Saga brand - named "Turris Babel"
  2. Very hype for this. Rumoured March release (according to Aliexpress preorders). Also excited for the 1/100 Buster too now after getting the Strike / Mecha Warrior.
  3. Perhaps it was a slow Bluefin distribution issue like has been reported recently. I'm surprised they aren't being sold at scalper prices.
  4. https://tfsource.com/products/view/product_id/10676/ MB Strike Freedom back in stock. $229 USD free US shipping.
  5. Thanks! As F360 mentioned, there is a cable attached to the AILE Striker and also the display arm, but you don't have to plug them in - but then they'd just be hanging out there. There were actually 2 versions that MoShow put out. Version 1 had the LED cable coming from the back of Strike gundam, but user feedback prompted them to move the cable into the AILE Striker instead, so if you display Strike without the AILE striker it won't look strange with a cable coming out the back. I guess you could just clip the cable out from the display arm and striker pack, but then you'd lose the LED functions forever. They are soooo cool! One improvement that MoShow could make next time is to do away with the cables all together and have the LED power socket a part of the connector peg on the base that connects to the Gundam. Their connector is massive compared to Bandai's, but less dynamic for poses - I think it can only go in 1 way, where as Bandai's allows for rotation. It's pretty big and could house the cabling and connector required, which would make it completely hidden. Maybe like a magsafe style connection, so less prone to break the connector pins like on the current cables.
  6. Photos! LEDs! Size comparisons MB Astray Red Frame Yamato 1/60 VF-1J Mass My work colleague's Perfect Grade Strike Rouge I love the size of this toy. I thought I wouldn't like 1/72 scale because it wouldn't fit in, and that is true that it doesn't fit at all, but at this size it is truly amazing. It has a presence of a Perfect Grade, but without taking up tons of space. It has the same kind of presence as a 1/60 Valk. I'm getting that same feeling when I upgraded all my HCM-Pro 1/200 Gundams to 1/144 Fix Figurations, and then those to 1/100 Metal Composite / Build. 1/72 makes 1/100 feel inadequate. Please MoShow don't be gone forever. Really want to see the 1/72 Buster come to life now. the 1/100 Quanta I'm not so excited about now, since there is an official Bandai Quanta planned, but would be great to get both and make comparisons.
  7. Received my MoShow 1/72 Mecha Warrior today. It is sooo awesome! I'm more impressed than I thought I would be. And to think the initial price of this was only $90 USD when it was released in Feb! I paid around $175 AUD. Paint apps are fantastic (as good or better than Bandai), and tampo is fantastic. Really heavy, and SUPER tight. I thought that MoShow had use the Perfect Grade as basis for their mold, but comparing it to my friend's PF AILE Strike Rouge, that is not the case. It has all the same gimmicks as the PF (minus the inner frame), but there are slightly differences in the mold all over (not to mention the paint job). Happy that I got a version 2 of this release, with all the fixes, but too bad it had to change from AILE STRIKE to MECHA WARRIOR (WORRIOR on the stand LOL). Will take some more photos and post later tonight. A few caveats - even though the articulated fingers are awesome, it makes it fiddly to get the gun into the hand - head is hard to turn let and right due to the LED ball joint's rubber material, so it is super tight when on. - not a great connector for Striker Pack the power cable that plugs into the back of Strike. It gets squashed a lot when the Strike Pack is locked into place - anti ship sword is made of metal (why???) so it is quite heavy. limits the number of possible poses But pretty small caveats really. Bit sad that we might not see 1/72 Buster or 1/100 Quanta Full Saber. MoShow would have put out some quality product to give Bandai a run for their money. Looking at the 1/72 Buster there are definitely some creative license taken, which really beefs it up compared to the Bandai kits.
  8. Ahh drats. Canada. Probably not the best place to buy from then since the import tax. Best best is NY so I you can have the parcel underquoted right?

    Hi-Metal R

Word of warning with NY. If you request a refund they will only give you store credit (my experience) and the store credit is valid for 1 year only. Also as it is a coupon it must be used fully in 1 transaction so the items you are buying with the coupon must be ¥1 more than the coupon (shipping excluded from the total).
  10. If you're in Australia, I have news that Madman Entertainment (madman.com.au) will be selling the MB F.91 in very limited numbers - estimated on sale in April. Shipping is free within Australia and International shipping is calculated at check out.
  11. But this a fan poll, aren't Gundam fans bored with Unicorn yet? Surely they want to see something different. Actually I'm disappointed no AGE-1 or AGE-2. Even though the series was not popular I liked the designs. Need a third party version. Haha. Surprised that Barbatos was not voted for too. Is it not popular in Japan?
  12. Really can't understand why anyone wants more Unicorn. Sick to death with Unicorn unless they release a renewal version with updated mold featuring improved articulation and gimmicks. Very happy that GP01/FB made it in there along with Ez8 and NT-1. Also why ZZ?!?!? It's so damn ugly. Haha. Zeta I can understand. It's a very slender, sleek and aggressive design. A MB design would make it a fierce.
  13. Got my Arcadia V-4G from NY today, and it is just beautiful. Did a quick look at it, and didn't have the misfortune of missiles popping off all over the place. No space to display this at work, so will have to come home until I can allocate some desk space for it. but first. Will work on converting it to a weathered FB2012 Hikaru custom when I have all of January off for annual leave.
  14. I did read there are some QC issues with MB Freedom, but I can't recall. I do have 1 issue with mine with one of the wings where it is loose at a certain angle. Otherwise mine is quite good. I wonder if the reissue addresses the original releases issues. I think that the re-release also has to do with it. When MB Freedom came out, it wasn't so hard to preorder - I even got my preorder in with Amiami (2 units - for myself and friend) in the first release, so I think the market is saturated with MB Freedom now that it has been released a 2nd time. Ahhh those were the days. Easy preorder and much lower RRP. Perhaps Bandai moved to a better factory with better QC, hence why the costs have gone up (plus the increase in costs to manufacture in China too).
  15. Update on the MoShow. The AU store I preordered QanT from, CollectorsDrift, said they only took down all the MoShow products before they haven't had any communication from their supplier (not MoShow). They haven't heard anything to suggest that the product is cancelled, so I think MoShow really is in hiding from Bandai and keeping on the down low until Bandai's attention wavers and they start to chase another 3rd maker - like Metal Gear.
  16. Nice find! Bit the bullet and finally purchased the VF-4G using that NY credit! Hopefully I will make some time to customise to a FB2012 Hikaru custom.
  17. Disappointed because I have to spend this stupid NY credit I have from my cancelled Strike Freedom wings of light PO and the credit expires end of Sept 2017. Hoping MB QanT PO goes up before my credit expires.
  18. LOL! Got cart jacked because I was giving my baby girl her bath and my wife was looking after the NY preorder and took too long at each step. Doh!
  19. Looking forward to NY's price, as HLJ was ¥17,000, so maybe ¥15,000. (wishing)
  20. HLJ now order stop. Was the F91 a 1 unit limit at HLJ? I didn't even check and just assumed as that is the norm for Bandai items at HLJ.
