  1. Going with HLJ for me so I can PW with the VF-4G. Hope it doesn't open while I'm on the train home.
  2. Can't wait for both of these. So awesome - especially the Destiny Heine custom. Not sure if I would go with FromJapan or NY for the Destiny. FJ - pay up front, but no mark up (besides the FJ fees), and actual EMS rates. NY - pay later, but marked up price, and higher than normal EMS rates.
  3. As Maverick said, "because I was inverted..." I also just received these from the post man The Vita is just the console and not the game as I didn't intend to play it, but I love the Persona 4 design. The Shinkansen is for my son. We bought one during our holiday in Japan, but it was lost when we were moving hotels - just lost in all the clutter of packaging and shopping bags. I think he tossed it somewhere in the room, and it got thrown out with the rubbish - very sad when we got home and couldn't find it. I just had to buy it again from Amazon JP. I hope he still likes it.
  4. Love it! I really like that you simulated the dirt build up streaking toward the rear on different parts that would drag on fighter mode. I need to get better at that.
  5. Awesome price. Glad it isn't over priced. I think I'm in for one now Gunpod not a big deal for me. Planning on displaying in fighter mode only HLJ order for me You know I can't leave it at just that. I got go all the way. Panel lining, weathering, dry brushing, the whole shabang!
  6. With all the talk of Arcadia likely not releasing a FB2012 variant I'm strongly thinking about getting this VFX release. I know I'll have fun converting it into the FB2012 paint scheme
  7. I'd love to get just the GBP armor so I could weather it up, and dress up one my VF-1s. A bit of colour tweaking too, so it's more mass production looking - Maybe grey panels instead of red etc. C'mon Arcadia! Just release the armor. And while you're at it, re-release those TV and DYRL FAST packs too! XD
  8. oooh. I didn't see the full image when I looked on my phone before. I see the full image now. The potential gerbera straight katana poses are going to be epic!
  9. Looks like the page days ¥19,440. Think I will skip the striker pack.
  10. Good point. What did Yamato call it? EDIT: oh they also called it Mass Production
  11. Hahaha! That is awesome! Reminds me of the comic image converter app. I'll have to run some pictures through it and post.
  12. Ahh yes. Painted surfaces I think have potential to cause transformation issues. That has me thinking about the customs paints I plan to do. I don't have an air brush and would be painting the large surfaces with Mr Hobby spray paint. Hopefully I can be light handed with the paint so it isn't a major issue.
  13. Glad you guys like it. The real touch markers are super forgiving. There is even an eraser pen if you botch up badly. XD Just a little here and there then some rubbing with a cotton bud and magic. Also a bit of clean up with your finger works well too. Fills in the panel lines nicely and leaves nice shade also. After finishing the YF-19 I went back over the VF-1J again as I had held back a bit initially as I was scared of doing much. On the head I actually I didn't get the colour mix right and the colour is slightly off compared to the Yamato brown plastic. In my original clean photos, I posted ages ago (somewhere here), you can see the difference. After the weathering the colours have evened out nicely. So glad it is finally warm weather again in Australia. I couldn't spray top coat when it was cold and damp. Have to keep working at my VF-1A MP so I can spray it before autumn/winter rolls around again. HAHA!
  14. Here is my Yamato VF-1J MP (brownie) weathered and stickered. This was actually my first work, as I used it as a test bed when I was starting to weather my valks - It was less risky (already dark colour), and not a big loss if I botched it up. I actually weathered about 75% of it, then the VF-19 Adv arrived and I went on to that and then the YF-19 there after. So now with those 2 completed I went back and completed the weathering on the VF-1J MP, applied all the stickers and finished with a top coat. Some of you may have seen my VF-1J MP previous, as it is not the stock Yamato VF-1J MP. It is actually a custom I had to create as the Yamato one was very hard to find, and actually more expensive than buying a VF-1A MP Movie + VF-1J assembly kit. This way I ended up with an assembly kit + VF-1A MP head to make another custom later on. Used: - Gundam Real Touch marker - Gundam marker silver colour - Mr Hobby Top Coat - Matt Currently working on a VF-1A MP to accompany mr VF-1J MP Now on to the pictures!
  15. Hmm. I'm not sure if it would cause any issues. I use Mr Hobby Topcoat Matt, and the coating is very fine. Since I only coat the top surfaces (not the inner parts, gap between connections, joints etc) it shouldn't be an issue. For me the top coat gives the toy a more model look, and also to lock in the weathering and stickers (for Yamato/Arcadia) Here is my YF-19 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=39470&page=166#entry1227224 and My VF-19 Adv http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41848&page=99#entry1211463 Has been reposed since that photo as I moved desk at work. I should post a new photo. WOW! Lots to do. I got a big backlog too. Lots of old Yamato VF-1s to work on - just finished my VF-1J MP and working on a VF-1A MP at the moment. Also a VF-25A MP in the backlog too. I love the brownies
  16. Always interesting to hear the different methods we use to beautify of valks. I've been using some dry brushing to show wear on the metallic/darker parts, and then Gundam real touch markers for the shading and panel lining. I'm also interested to see your weathered VF-19 Adv. I weathered mine also, but mostly in battroid mode, so if I transform it back to fighter or gerwalk there will probably be some parts that are not weathered and also missing top coat. The opposite for my Arcadia YF-19. It's in fighter mode, and was weathered that way too (also because I busted the wing, so it's permanently glued to the root)
  17. Nice one! Weathering just makes a valk pop!
