Oh if we are going that route then here. Ivan Dex, call sign Sturmvolf Secret trump card of SMS as he is their true ace pilot. Flies highly customized VF-25 with pinpoint barrier attachments and dark blue/black colors and an ECS cloaking system (yeah, invisible) Not shown on screen due to being a secret, only brought out when absolutly necessary, otherwise he is cloaked. I'm really not joking, this is what I'd be if I knew we could make our own character, I've actually thought this up before (thought not to the secret extent necessarily, just had to fit into the current show). I just picked Ozma if we had to play from the main cast. Note: Ivan Dex is a character name I've used for a long time, is also where my screen name comes from as it started out as a fan made Star Wars character, as in Jedi Master Ivan Dex.

I want to say Michael, I really do... but I don't think I fit that role best (though on another note, I do think I fit the Max Jenius role well). I'd probably go with Ozma, because I am not as rash and unpredictable as Alto. I see myself as more of the front line fighter but more reserved and I take the time to do things right. That is Ozma because of his experience. However I don't listen to much Fire Bomber, I'd prefer to not have Bobby after me, and I am usually a follower more than a leader so perhaps I don't fit any character perfectly. Actually I am probably one of the unnamed engineers on the Quater, lol, but this is for main characters. If we knew anything about Brera besides that he is a cyborg and Ranka's real brother (we know he is) I might say him but he really is still a whole lot of mystery.

However I am not sure the Dimension Eater sequence was necessarily slowed down any, I never got that indication anyway. It still looked quite dangerous. I agree and also believe Gallia 4 to now be lifeless, but I don't look too much into it now. A note, while your right about the possibility of it being thrown off axis and out of orbit (which would ruin it), that wasn't your typical explosion. It did blast out it just expanded slowly and dissipated after vaporizing stuff. However I pretty much agree March, that planet is dead.

The Dimension Eater basically just vaporized a quarter of the planet, leaving a smooth slice out of the planet. There still seems to be atmosphere and there is no telling how this will affect the planet's environment. Also there are numerous debates on whether there was a core of the planet to begin with and why we can't see it...

Not to mention time in fold space, they could be younger. Like how Max doesn't look a day over 40 in Mac7 when he should be in his late 50's.

Ooh! I remember that giving me goosebumps watching it in Robotech (there the robotech theme plays when that happens). I am only halfway through watching SDF Macross for the first time so now I can't wait for that one.

I'd be interested but on top of never having done it before I don't know any Japanese so I am no good in the translation department. However I am good with computers and 'mechanical stuff' as other people have noted so maybe I can do something. The real question for me is do I have the time. Perhaps we should look into it. It would certainly give me an excuse to build a complete Macross library. I still haven't even watched passed episode 1 of Mac7 (I'm still watching original SDF Macross, I'm on ep.17 I believe). I never got to see Flashback actually...

I have never done subbing but something about that is intriguing. Although I bet Shinsen will do a sub of Yakk Deculture.

We have a NUNS pilot, Brera. Of course he isn't flying a 171 but still.

I've noticed the Shinsen subs for Deculture too, but it was before we had a lot of information on the people's names. They used Lanka in that but updated it to Ranka for the broadcast. All they had to go on in Deculture was what they heard. Since I preferred the deculture edition it is what I put on my burned DVD's (which I have 2 now, the first 10 episodes with Shinsen Subs) so it kind of stands out. I kind of hope when the DVD's come out Shinsen will try to do a subbing of the Yakk Deculture edition so we can all enjoy the full episode 1.

I did remember that joke and had thought of it when I was first replying to that comment but I decided to assume that it wasn't related. Little did I know Wolfx didn't even know that was a joke, .

No where in the episode does anyone say to cancel a transformation, I looked through when the order to use nukes was permitted and when they actually nuked all the Vajra ships but they don't give mention to the Battle 25 transforming at all.

Someone once suggested Light Aircraft Industries which sounded good. However considering they also make fold boosters and Dimension eaters that name seems unfitting now.

Perhaps as someone once suggested (I forget who) a Macross Royale with Cheese. Here is a possibilities, what we have seen of Macross Galaxy may in fact be the carrier. Who knows.

*claps* Good phrasing. Being a huge transformers fan I know what you mean. I kind of see the Unicron Trilogy as a black mark on TF history and would rather forget it. Some like it though, strange. Transformers was hurt due to puting out series all the time that had lackluster plotlines just so there could be a medium to sell the toys. G1 may have not been written any better at first but you are correct everything that expanded upon it made it better and Beast Wars is still my favorite TF series because its storytelling is great. The new show, Animated, is doing very well and is actually good because they have decided to put out a good show with good story telling and it is paying off. As for Macross it is probably better that there isn't always a Macross something on the air, makes us appriciate it more when we actually have something going on.

To add to that, we know now that Frontier's resources are being stretched and . So I don't know if folding somewhere else is a good idea now as it might eat up energy they need to conserve.

The episode discussions can contain anything from that episode I would say, but when you want to get into specifics and not involve anything else then another topic would be the more prudent thing to do *cue Isamu glaring at me for saying prudent*. Nothing wrong with seeing it that way at all. Also some people are just lazy and this topic is here and since it isn't seen as off topic then they can go ahead and post stuff here without making another thread.

I too was making a joke out of it so there is no problem. Even sometimes I wonder about some of the character theories I see, but then I think about some type of shiny aerospace craft (mech or not) doing something cool and I get over it.

I find this idea of segregation in Macross World to be distasteful. I am an engineer (ok student, but it is close enough) and I like talking about mechanical stuff but I like talking about character things as well. Just because we don't have the same idea on our minds at all times does not make us that different, perhaps it makes us the same...
