I too would love to see Max with reinforcements in the final battle, but I rather have him flying the VF-22 so we get to see it in flashy CG.

Indeed, there are a lot of things they have that are really good now that we don't know about... at least I assume they do. It actually is only rumor that the SR-71 is Jetfire, but I do hope and believe it is. Regardless there will be an SR-71 transformer. The main reason the Jetfire bit is unsubstantiated is because the SR-71 prop was seen with Decepticon symbols. However Jetfire has been an unstable character as far as allegiance before. I am speaking more to his many incarnations in the G1 comics, because in the G1 show he was called Skyfire and was radically altered so as not be sued by... heh... Harmony Gold and the Robotech people... of all people to sue over the VF-1 design. As far as the Jetfire movie bit, I could believe the reason for the Decepticon symbols are perhaps the character being undercover as a double agent or spy. Enough of that though as this is a Macross forum and not Transformers.

Anyone in their right mind loves the SR-71. It's too bad they are all sitting on the ground now gathering dust. They aren't meant for that, they're ugly on the ground. That bird is only happy when zipping through the skies.

I just wait for Shinsen's releases since they are in avi format. I have a computer running Vista (yes I know it sucks but that is beside the point) and I just use Windows DVD maker and it seems to work fine. Takes quite a while to encode the DVD before actual writing but it isn't bad. I don't have a widescreen TV in my house so I always get a little bit chopped off but I think on a widescreen TV it will look fine. I have 2 DVD's so far: 1 has episodes 1-5 (1 is deculture edition, I didn't burn broadcast version), and disc 2 has episodes 6-10. Since Shinsen is only up to ep.11 now I have to wait until they are through 15 for my next disc.

I like that first one, is there a higher resolution version of that anywhere?

Must be a personal taste. It isn't bad but it doesn't get me like some other designs. It also has very small hands....

At least Cathy is an homage to Misa. Perhaps you consider yourself multi-generational in your Macross women. You have one for each series... but wait, Klan and Cathy are in the same series. Now I know you aren't planning on a threesome between you, Cathy, and macro Klan are you?

Those are old pics as well. However I think the not well connected legs in fighter mode are a result of the prototypes not being finished and all. They probably didn't build in the locking mechanism for the legs in fighter mode yet. I think when we see the final product, the legs will be nice and secure and we won't have a gap there anymore. If there is a gap like that in the final version, even I can't overlook that.... I can make concessions but I don't want holes in my fighter mode.

There is no way that is any closer to a final. I think the one on the left of that comparison (the ones of the S and F) are still the closest to the final product we have seen, and even the main site has said those pictures are also not even final versions. We have still not seen any final version photos if any exist. I bet that thing in the display case is just a painted version of an earlier resin prototype. They probably just needed something to show off in a display and didn't want to show the final version or the most recent version just yet.

I disagree, at this point it seems Ranka is part everything. Is there anything she doesn't have in her bloodline now? Zentran, human, Vajra, Fast pack, bread, and I'll just add this for kick: a dash of Tabasco.

I wasn't necessarily meaning I wanted to be older, I just want to be able to say things like "kids these days.." and such. I am quite alright with my youth and hope it lasts a while. I actually do say that when speaking to people who are younger than myself so it isn't total loss. I am just young compared to most members here it would seem.

Depends on what you would call the arc or arcs in Frontier so far. Some say up to episode 7 was an arc and from there to 14 was another, and some say up to 14 was a whole arc. I think of episodes 1-10 as a beginning arc really and then 11-14 has the Gallia 4 mini arc which launched into what we are starting now with ep.15 which seems to be an adventure/conspiracy arc.

I would agree. While it looked nice Alto is best with Super. I think Ozma looks good with Super too but we are used to him in armor and he is good with it.

He only ejects the boosters and that was actually Super parts he had on in episode 3, only time he has done that. It was the closest we have come to seeing Ozma's valk without armor. I really want to see some naked VF-25S action! Btw.. in the news form Azreal posted some stuff from some sites that said the color pics of the 1/60 VF-25 with have been seeing are indeed prototype pics still. So anyone who is still worried, don't be, we still have not seen the final product.

Could be worse, they could be looking at pictures of Klan because they are over obsessed. I am not saying that is wrong of course, I was in the Clan of Klan too after all.

Very true, in fact the F-22 is the primary replacement for the F-15. It just does so much more than the 15's original role though. The 22 really is an all around fighter that we will be seeing for at least the next 20 years as our front line fighter.

I hope it all does, I kind of want to find Seikan Hokou now, I assume there is someway I can download that single... I haven't been looking but I bet somewhere has it. EDIT: Found it, I knew I would be able to find it.

Yeah, kids these days.... heheh.. I'm in no position to talk I know. I have to be at least 25 probably to say that but I know I will enjoy saying that one day.

The F-22 was better in a number of aspects to the YF-23 which is why it was chosen but I agree, the 23 is really pretty. Speaking as an engineering student, I've met people who were on that design project, cool stuff. Also the wing configuration on the F-22 for stealth ability is called Plan-form Alignment. It uses the angle of the wings to deflect radar better than the materials they used of the F-117 (which I don't like much). Also, again speaking as an engineering student, the F-22 is considered to have delta wings because they are swept back. Even the B-2 Spirit and the F-14 are considered delta wing configuration. It just has to look a little like a triangle. The YF-23 is definitely a diamond shape though, much more than the F-22.
