  1. What if I KAWAKSed them? Didn't KAKWAKS only play one of them? Well, in any case, I suppose KAWAKSing them is pretty much the same as MAMEing them. Different GUI's, same result. I thought they'd added CPS1 to KAWAKs. Ah well... I don't actually recall what CPS1 emu I used. Just know I used Kawaks for CPS2. I was kind of being sarcastic anyways. Just reminding everyone that there ARE other arcade emus out there.
  2. I thought EVERYBODY claimed rights for DYRL.
  3. Ah. I thought there was some sort of PC98 extender to make a DOS PC behave more like a PC98(since the hardware is similar, if what I've read is accurate). My mistake.
  4. I liked the Mario movie. Of course, I realize that the position it's in, somewhere between a "real" Hollywood film and a Mario game on the big screen, leaves it with almost no one to enjoy it. The gamers wanted something more, well, Mario. The rest of the world wanted something more like every other movie. I looked at it as an alternate Mario of sorts. Like Mario Land on the GameBoy. Or Super Mario 2 on NES. Another variant on the theme, albiet a darker one than usual.
  5. They also run a game of Trek up one of the bridge monitors in one episode. I think there's a few othre references, but I'm not sure.
  6. http://www.wolfgames.com/dcmacrossm3le.jpg Got cardstock?
  7. Sometimes they're left in because it can affect the rest of hte game to dummy them out. This is usually older games, though. And sometimes they leave them in to reward insane hammering of random buttons. What if I KAWAKSed them?
  8. WHY does everyone want to see EVERYTHING remade as a live-action movie?!?!?!?!?!?!
  9. It's possible the PC-98 extensions you were using aren't compatible with Win98 anyways. I'd recommend a full PC-98 emulator, personally. http://www.zophar.net/pc98.html
  10. MacrossDotting: The new internet plague.
  11. Now that you mention it, I DO See a certain ChoRyuJin influence. ... Damn you to Wisconsin for tainting GGG with that abomination of a Crayola box!
  12. Yeah, about that: Thank you guys for exceeding her bandwidth before I had a chance to droo....See her site I never hit the site either.
  13. The bundled movie is the Street Fighter 2 Animated movie which was only released edited and dubbed in the US. Not the Alpha movie, SF2V series or any others...just the original SF2 movie. As for those pads...for those interested, they do have a website Streetfighter Controller If they have better D-pads than the Ascii ones (which were great, just apparantly not able to stand up well)...I guess it'd be a good investment.[ I don't think its the actual SF 2 anime movie. Taken from NCSX.coms info It says its interactive? What is it like Dragons Lair? lol Sounds like it. That genre refuses to die off for some inexplicable reason. As a side-note, I've been rummaging up some reviews of Nuby products, and they seem to be considerd fairly decent overall. Which makes them a far better 3rd party than, say, MadCatz(how do these people stay in business, anyways?).
  14. I've only had a little time on the Saturn. But I really like the pad, and it's widely regarded as one of the best-functioning gamepads out there. Pity the system folded in America, really. It deserved better. ... And I still play the old Genesis and SNES.
  15. Bleh. I'll just beat someone up and steal their saturn pads, I guess.
  16. Dun have a new one, but I DID clean up a certain well-recieved but over-exposed Pikachu girl. Amazing what a little cleanup will do.
  17. I just cleaned out my NES good and it worked like a dream. Everyone cleans the carts(I HOPE), but few people get into the deck and nail the cart connector with anything. ... Said connector is due a pin flexing though. They're getting bent out of position, and some of my games have quit working right. I can piggy-back a GameGenie to get my pickier carts to work, but it's a nuisance.
  18. It was actually put in intentionally. There's no other way, as they had no reason to even poll gamepad 2 otherwise. It was likely put in for purposes of beta-testing and they just forgot to disable it afterwards.
  19. Saturn, more so. Even the 6-button Genesis pad had no shoulder keys(well, one mode button, but most games pretended it couldn't be used). And was a continuous curve on the top. And hey, it beats the heck out of Sony's pads as far as digital goes. And THEY PUT SELECT AND START IN A QUICK-ACCESS SPOT! I think I'll pick a pad up myself, even though I have no real interest in the game. It is, IMO, the perfect digital pad design(assuming the d-pad is reliable). ... Well, actually I'd've put L1 and R1 on the left instead of the right. But that would've meant you'd have to reconfigure the game for the pad.
  20. Smack that bitch around. Show your thumb who's boss. *smack* OW! According to the American version, yes :-P I found it hilarious as hell too, but since I usually skip FMV's after I've seen it for the first time, unless it has some really nice action sequences, I don't find it too distracting. I just pretend that it was just a bad dream. In anycase, I'm not sure I ever found an answer to this, but does anyone have an exact count of how many bolts you're supposed to collect in the game? I got forty, but apparently, there are more. According to GameFAQs, there's only 40 bolts in MM8. You're not supposed to be able to buy everything, if that's what you're thinking.
  21. The pic shows 5 fingers. I think it's just QRaus that are 3-fingered.
  22. Not sure how to describe it. It's not that I panic, my instincts just refuse to back off I'm perfectly calm, I know exactly what I'm supposed to do, and BAM! my thumb decides I need to jump that pit now. What about Dr. Light? Is he suppoed to sound like Elmer Fudd?
  23. MY NES did. ... Of course, I also used a controller with rapid-fire exclusively....
  24. The snowboard areas are why I haven't beaten it on PS1 yet. I just can't get the Wily snowboard sequence down. I invariably jump or slide at the wrong point somewhere. It could vary between versions. Which one do you have?
  25. On a similar note, the first Robotech novel by Jack McKinney has the DYRL version of the SDF-1 Macross on it, as opposed to the version from the series. This really threw me off when I first purchased the book, since I didn't know of DYRL's existance at the time, and I was wondering what the hell the Macross had on its arms (they later turned out to be the redesinged ARMD carriers)... So young, so naive. Beats teh original artwork I saw on some of them...
