  1. That kit was a recast of the WAVE full action original. A guy from SanFran sells originals on ebay from time to time. His ebay name is 'RX93'. He's a good guy. Keep an eye out for him.
  2. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM cartoonpassion.com !!!!! They only sell ungodly crappy recasts that are brittle and more filler (sand) than resin. They are total rip offs!!!!
  3. I'd love to find a damaged VF-4 and VF-5000 from this line. Just So I wouldn't feel guilty locking them in Batroid mode.
  4. Great work! Now you need the matching Batroids
  5. Non-transformable 1/100 VF-4 and VF-5000 Batroids.
  6. OUTSTANDING!!! You took one of the worst kits bandai evr made, adn made it look good!
  7. Excellant job! It is interesting to see the 'Heavy' mode. The pods from the HG G-Defensor are box like compared to the aerodynamic MAVE. It adds a great deal of contrast. Very nice work!
  8. Great job. Just clean up the seem lines onthe VF-11 and it will be perfect!
  9. My oldest Macross kit was the Battle Tech release of the Nichimo kits, the Phoenix Hawk=VF-1SS
  10. All you need is a WAVE 'L' joint and some putty. And you'll be set.
  11. Almost all my Macross resin is 1/144. Here are pics of my stash: *Pics of my stash*
  12. Actually I think your worst enemy is the paint you are using. Those little square Testors bottles are a pain. I recommend you try hand painting with Tamiya paints and a Camel hair brush. Almost all the 1/144 Stuff on my website is hand brushed with either Tamiya or Mr Color. This VF-19 Gerwalk was entirely hand brush by me a few years ago:

I had a Paasche VL until recently. It is a great little airbrush that you can do alot with. You may also wan to consider an Iwata HP-C, they are great for detail work down to a hairline.
  14. The 1/144 Yellow Sub VF-4 is very nice.
  15. Cheep 6 foot particle board book cases can be had for around $40 each for the nicer ones. Also try and keep your kits in a room where pets are not allowed.
  16. Like Phil said, they are great little kits. I need to get off of my butt and finish mine. post pics when you are done.
  17. These kits look good in Batloid mode, but really bad in Gerwalk or Fighter modes. They transform, but the results ain't pretty. Bandai should have been embarrassed to release these kits. The were substandard in the year they came out in. If you going to lock it in Batloid mode, it will look pretty good.

Damn nice work there guy. Your going to make me want to hit my stash of Yellow Sub kits
  19. Just this one so far, but there are more in the works http://kitbash.net/m144/vf19s.html
  20. Chris Barretta is recasting this set aswell.
  21. I have one partially built that I stopped working on a few years ago. It is Batroid only. The replacement forearms are split down the center and need glued and puttied after assembly. All the holes in the resin for the polycaps need to be made deeper to hold the p-caps. The the lower legs mount onto the plastic inner legs and retain the ability to open the landing gear hatches, but again they need glue and putty. I also recomend you scrub the resin parts in Windex pefore assembly and paint.
  22. All the above answers are correct. I would like to add that resin can hold sharper egdes and deeper details than IP kits. Only the recent Hasagawa kits have approached the level of detail resin can hold. And as was mentioned above, you'll never see a resin VF-4 or VF-5000
  23. For a WAVE original no more than $100. For a recast about 1/2 that.
