  1. The toy better be good or I will sue Arcadia this time
  2. The box is ugly once again. They could've recreated a fight scene using the toy or adding pictures of the anime characters. The box does not justify the extra bucks I'm paying.
  3. Such a small but complex triangular piece that Bandai did not want to make replacements.
  4. I have not bought a pair of the same valk in years, but I will eventually buy another one. Hope Arcadia releases a new paint variation pretty soon.
  5. I had the VF-19S in my cart. Even though it was gone on the sale, I still had the chance to pay but I let it go. I am felling guilty of spending too much on the YF -19
  6. I regret not buying this one when it was US$300. At that time, I thought it was too much for a toy. Now the trend is higher prices but better aesthetics on the toy. A nice example is th upcoming YF-19. I'll wait for Arcadia to reissue the VF-4G, no rush.
  7. At least we had the chance to get parts for the Yamato VF-1 shoulders. And Yamato offered free shoulder parts for the defective Megazone Garland in the US. Too bad that Bandai does not care to do the same. It would have been perfecf to add free shoulder triangles on the armor set.
  8. I have to say that thanks to this issue I could get another VF-171 very cheap. First time in years that I got a pair of the same valk. I have one in fighter and the other one in battroid. The broken triangles were a pain to glue but they are holding fine. Both toys make a great display together.
  9. Hope Arcadia reissues the VF-4G while we wait for this one.
  10. I remember using Japantodoor.com for bidding on Yahoo Japan, very easy process. I think I paid a considerable comission but I wanted the item so much, I didn't care. I received the item from Japan to South America at no time and was very satisfied.
  11. Yeah, NY declare the toys ridiculously low. I would be more comfortable if they make an invoice with a value of US$20. That price would be reasonable.
  12. I would take it easy and buy only one. Like Yamato, Arcadia will milk the mold no doubt, so there will be other versions.
  13. I also think the gunpod is spot on. A good artwork for the box and this will be a dream come true.
  14. I had cracks on both shoulder black parts. After close inspection (taking the metal pin out and unscrewing) came to the conclusion that it is a plastic quality issue. Apparently, those parts did not cook well or the mold was over used (blame on Alto's VF-17)The screws and pins apply force no doubt but the black plastic should be strong enough to hold well. I used crazy glue very carefully to fill the cracks and it is holding well, but I would love to have original replacements.
  15. Yes, yes fantastic news. This gives hope for a VF-4 reissue too, don't mind waiting another year. Do you guys think the YF-21 needs a revision too. I am contemplating it right now and looks perfect, at least in fighter mode.
  16. I checked mine and glad nothing is cracked because I paid 50 bucks more than retail price.
  17. Option parts! I will buy it, just need to be patient and look on the "for sale" MW forum. Somebody will buy it just for curiosity and then sell it cheaper.
  18. I will let this one pass. If it does not sell well, I am sure you will see it on future HLJ discounts for US$100 or less. If it gets sold out, good for Arcadia and for us who are waiting for more Macross toys. The VF-4 is the only valk I regret not buying. Arcadia, reissue the VF-4 please. Paint it pink, Hello Kitty scheme if you want to and I will still buy it.
  19. Scheme is ugly but it is something we've never seen before. I would buy it if it came with option parts. All VF-1 valks should from now on.
  20. Thanks Scyla, watching a transformation guide is a must for this toy.
  21. I am about to get one from Amiami. I will probably not transform this toy to avoid any breakage. But I am a little concerned about the under cockpit part. Is it possible to check if the part is there without transforming the toy fully?
  22. Someone on Ebay is offering parts for this toy. It will take a while to get your missing or broken part, but at least there is an alternative. http://www.ebay.com/itm/PARTS-ONLY-Bandai-DX-Chogokin-Macross-Frontier-F-CF-VF-171EX-Nightmare-Plus-/321125546414?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ac492f9ae
  23. Yes, I did that with my Vf-171. A bit flimsy, but it can stand a 4.5 earthquake. Bandai did not add that method of posing, I guess it was not designed for that.
  24. I bet it is possible. Most toys are painted with acrylics. Use isopropyl alcohol and you can rub off the paint without damaging the plastic. I am planning to rub off the "no step" markings under the wing, you can try that first.
