  1. Pay for one or wait for a better deal when released?

The Tamashi C-3PO was a steal. I got it for 200 and it is incredible. Diecast to the extreme.
  3. What type of glue do you need for this material?
  4. Got the 8 remaining sheets sold to one per person, thank you.
  5. I am not making more custom stickers. The 3M sheet that I was using is no longer made and I didn't find another material that can match the quality of the 3M.I have the last 8 stickers for the YF-19. If anybody want one, I will sell it for US$10 each shipped anywhere. Send me a message for more details.
  6. Thank you Mr. Cheng, great to read a compliment from the master himself. Let me check if some store sells decal paper in my country. If I find one, then I will try to see if it's feasible.
  7. Thanks, I am treating this as a toy and I am using regular stickers, so no topcoat. The stickers look good because I am using my own custom sheet that I made printed on an ultra thin 3M sheet. That's why it looks like decals.Forgot to say that I added a little bit of black paint at the edge of the two top wing pegs. Looks way better and a very easy mod.
  8. Thanks for the compliments, I used a wash to panel line using acrylic black grey paint with its respective thinner. Some of the lines on the toy were not that deep. I had to make a little pass with an xacto knife on the shoulders and part of the shield so the paint can stay on the line. All the stickers including the kite logos were done by me. I used to sell these custom stickers for the Yamato YF-19. For the inexperienced modeler, I recommend to panel line using a pencil. It can look good too if doing properly.
  9. I'm waiting for another one too, so I can play with it. Arcadia will certainly do another version, so I will save some for the next YF-19.
  10. Finally finished mine. Has stickers applied, panel lining, a little bit of weathering, an elongated landing gear and a new neck shield. I did not like the color of the original and it did not cover the whole neck. Made one with a 35mm film case, very easy and looks great. Not to be transformed for now, I will leave it in fighter for a long time.
  11. Got the crooked head too. Thank god the head was not glued, easy fix.
  12. I have to take out the lower part that I cut to transform it, so it is not a perfect transformation anymore. I could've done a retractable mechanism using a spring but for that I needed to drill a bigger wider hole on the upper part. That was not possible because drilling metal requires force, generating too much heat and can damage the plastic. Too bad that you can not not take the whole landing gear part out of the toy. One little plastic cover that conceals a screw is the culprit. I still have a couple left. I won't make more of those because the 3M stiicker sheet that I used is discontinued.
  13. Thanks! Wait untill I put my stickers and perhaps making a new neck shield.
  14. That is part of a tire valve core. Found it in my toolbox and got the idea from it. I could've done a better job, but was impossible to detach the landing gear from the body. There are two little plastic covers that conceal the screws. One is easy to take out, the other one seems to have glue. I couldn't drill more on the upper landing gear, it gets extremely hot and the plastic can get compromised. I had to soak the metal on cold water when drilling, not easy. I only drilled a tiny hole so the pin can get inside without falling apart. The gunpod hangs very good now and the valkyrie has a perfect landing angle. For 300 dollars, Arcadia should've come up with a spring mechanism for the landing gear.
  15. This was "loco"! but glad it turned out the way I wanted. It stays fine without glue, so I can still transform it. I will later paint the landing gear and add the stickers.
  16. How about warming the die-cast parts with a hair dryer, do you think it can make it flexible?
  17. Good luck Graham!Sucks when you have a broken wing on a 300 dollar toy knowing there is a bunch of spares at the factory. Mine is coming from Nippon Yassan, fingers crossed.
  18. No, I made better stickers using ultra thin 3M sheets. Another option is to use the decals of the 1/48 Hasegawa, though some marks may be too big for the 1/60.
  19. I still have a few of my custom stickers that are better than the factory. You might want to try them.
  20. We will see more variations of the YF-19, that is why I did not buy two. I expect Arcadia to lower the price by 80 dollars, not including missiles and fast packs.
  21. The lettering on the wing is starting to bother me too. Isopropyl alcohol will take it off easily.
  22. By the way, still in stock at HLJ. Those of you who have doubts of spending too much, will regret later not buying this one when it was available. That happened to me with the VF-4, hope Arcadia reissues it this year.
  23. Arcadia nailed the definitive YF-19. Sadly, it cost a bit much to have a pair. But, I will be waiting for a Ravens scheme or any other fancy version, coz this valk looks great in any color.
  24. I just got the message from Nippon Yassan that the product is in stock. It's time...this is the most expensive valk I have ever bought, better be good.
