  1. Well, I definitely agree with these statements.
  2. I believe there is also quite a bit of demand for 1/60 scale figures. Would really be nice if you are willing to make them
  3. I agree as well, accept it on behalf of MW community at large for the purpose of fund raising for the upkeep of this site (Thanks Shawn for paying the bills... I believe this is still the case right?) , so that this site can continue to THE premier English site for all things Macross. At the same time, maybe they can include some kind of statement along with it to acknowledge the existence and support of overseas fans or something like that. Sounds like a good idea for a PR move. Of course, thank you Graham for getting the information for us, and please pass our thanks to Yamato for sharing the background story as well. Now we know there is good reason for this, though it is really a shame that this won't be mass produced. EDIT: The SDF-1 of course should preferably be auctioned off during MWCon 2010. Makes it more exciting and it will also serve as an incentive for people to attend. All proceeds go to the maintenance of the siteas mentioned above, or can be channelled into the organisation of MWCon 2011 to get new prizes or to offset organisation expenses. Another related possibility is to use the money gained to reimburse the person(s) organising the event for all the time and effort put in. Just some random ideas that came to me.
  4. Don't take it the wrong way, what I meant is that no matter what type of head comes with the plain VF-1, there will always be a grp of people who think otherwise, so the best way really, is to include all heads, then problem solved! Nah... they are never gonna do that.... maybe they'll release some accessory kit in future that includes, among other things, the different heads!
  5. No matter what head they include, people will always be asking for another. The best would be to include all of them. but then again, some people would say that that is poor business sense ... so on so forth...
  6. Good idea. Not everyone visit the boards here everyday, and it can really a chore to go through like a tens of pages of posts...
  7. Yes... but his reasons for not making them is not so much of he isn't interested than the fact that he doesn't have a version 2 to go with. Also with ALPS printers' support and supplies not available outside Japan since 2007 means he has to carefully ration the printer usage.. thus he he unable to do it for us anymore.
  8. Other than the boosters and colors, the gunpod is also different, but that is about all the differences, just based on appearance.
  9. Ah... I get what you mean... as in the thrusters should be colored instead of white... yes I believe so as well, but exactly what color remains to be seen... as in the the CFs had brown, while the rest had grey. While it is more likely to be grey, we cannot be too sure. As for the cockpit frame, the black/ gray lines running along/ across, good chance they won't be painted , since the decal sheet includes the decals to mark them
  10. Oh man! I was expecting quite a bit of text from you. It is SOOOO unlike you to just have a one-liner..... But really, I always like to read a well argued... erm, argument.
  11. Possibly, but the photos shown are just photoshopped pictures and even then, they are pretty inconsistent. Just note the anti-glare infront of the cokpit. Some pictures they are painted, and in some they just aren't, so don't take as the 'shopped pics are 100% accurate to the actual end product.
  12. Actually I was thinking about it as well....and I have reahed this conclusion: I won't mind stashing up though if the prices were good. I can keep them as canvas as you said, to wait for nice decals by 3rd parties, OR, I can simply take like 5 of them and put them in a series of static poses to show off the transformation process like the suspended 1Js shown together with the US$2300 SDF-1 But of course. IF the prices are good.
  13. That sure is good news! Hope my local dealer will have pre-orders soon! If the prices are good, I should get at least 2!
  14. Nope, it was not released with matching Super/ Strike packs. This is a customised version, Like wise for the YF-19 FP and fold booster. But great job Kicker773!
  15. Whoa... though probably he isn't the kind to probably chill out with you for a drink in the evening, this guy is just about the best teammate one can have in terms of loyalty and ability. You'll probably feel safe fighting alongside with him knowing that he'll do everything within his power to protect his teammates!
  16. For me... if they are going to do anymore 1/48 VF-1s, it HAS GOTTA BE THE 2 SEATERS!
  17. Well.... this IS a Macross forum... .. What I can say is the the PSP is good for loads of other things other than just playing Macross Ultimate Frontier.... you can play movies, songs, surf the web( provided you are in an area with FOC wifi). personally, I found it REALLY useful when I need to wait for my girl friend (can be up to an hour or more! , and she wonders how come I can be so patient ) .... or during commuting.
  18. That is correct... Macross Ace Frontier (released 1 year ago) and Macross Ultimate Frontier (released about 3 + weeks ago) game play is generally similar, but Ultimate frontier features more content.... think of it as a complete version of Ace frontier.
  19. Not quite, Kazutaka Miyatake designed the Macross and most non-valkyries in macross
  20. I am seriously jealous of you guys who live in HK right now....
  21. I believe it was Graham who first used the term to denote transformer fans here
  22. I'm having the same as well..... the 3 secondary conditions are to beat Nora, Nora, AFOS within the shortest time. However, wth the Vf-0, I find it almost imossible to do so.... the most I could do was only beating Nora fast.. but no luck with Ivanov, and definite not with the AFOS by a long shot
  23. Was there ever doubt? More $ for VF-1s! yeah... suddenly a Quarter Macross looks alot more value for money @ about a Tenth of what Macross is commanding
  24. 90 USD for 1/60 Gamlin VF-22S?!?! That is cheap compared to how much we are getting it for! Do yourself a favor... buy as much as you can..... you will probably not see such prices for awhile.
  25. That is what the blank 1S valk is for! A canvas for folks who are willing to customise their valks to whatever scheme they like! But of course, this is going off tangent as far as this thread is concerned... non-canon valks discussion should go to the relevant thread
