  1. That reminds of when The Vaults of Terra, a YouTube channel dedicated to 40K lore, did a video on the Adeptus Custodes. The comments was flooded with Text-to-Speech references. Bruva Alfabusa himself posted an apology on the video.
  2. The VF-19 Master File I ordered finally arrived in the mail today. I'd say it's worth every penny.
  3. You really don't have to play Warhammer to appreciate the Text-to-Speech series. It actually does a good job at explaining the lore while making fun of it at the same time. This clip in particular pretty much explains 99% of 40K in general.
  4. I didn't realize there was a 40K thread here. I might as well post a video from my favorite 40K related fan series, If the Emperor had a Text-to-Speech Device.
  5. It's one of the reasons why the RAH-66 Comanche was cancelled.
  6. Speaking of Sikorsky, they've really been promoting their entry for the Future Vertical Lift program lately.
  7. As an Ace Combat fan, I'm now looking at the ASF-X Shinden II Master File, especially since Shoji Kawamori designed the fighter.
  8. I just assumed the MF YF-19 Advance predated the YF-30 as a "proof of concept" design, as opposed to a prototype.
  9. On top of that, there's been over 50 issues of the official MLP comics, and that's not counting the spinoff issues. On a vaguely related note, has anyone here heard of Them's Fightin' Herds? It began as an MLP fan game before the makers got a cease and desist from Hasbro. Now, Lauren Faust herself has been working with the group to remake it with an original plot and characters.
  10. Shinsei likes to go with an "evolutionary" approach rather than "revolutionary." The XVF-19 was a VF-11 with the VF-19's wings. On that note, I finally ordered the VF-19 Master File. I should be getting it some time in May.
  11. I forgot this thread still existed. I saw the teaser earlier today and I can't wait. That being said... Of course, she's not one to talk, given the whole Rainbow Rocks thing.
  12. To think that I've been waiting to see if you would ever translate the VF-22 Master File, but from what I've heard on here about the poor quality of the latest books, I guess ignorance is bliss. Once I deposit some more money, I think I'll get the VF-19 Master File. To be honest, the VFA-19 sounds intriguing.
  13. I'm definitely going to need to find some better alternatives to Google Translate soon enough. It seems less like I'm reading a Master File and more like I'm reading the script to Backstroke of the West.
  14. This sounds a lot like the fictional ASF-X Shinden II, a joint Anglo-Japanese design from the Ace Combat games.
  15. Okay, that makes a lot more sense. Naturally, cancer would be the least of your worries if you're fired upon by a VF with a gun pod. I'll look into it, then.
  16. I'm still laughing over my phone translating "gun pod" as "cancer pod." Honestly, your site motivated me to get the VF-25 Messiah Master File. I'm also debating whether or not to get the VF-19 Master File, based on some of the discrepancies that I already know about.
  17. To be fair, some of the variants do seem based on some of the proposed variants of the F-22 Raptor, such as the delta-wing FB-22 and X-44 MANTA, as well as the swing-wing navalized Raptor concept. I'm not sold on the bug-eyed canopy either, but the ideas of dual head lasers and a clear one piece canopy do seem to work in my opinion. At the very least, you're the "technological loremaster," given your contributions to the Macross Mecha Manual. I soon found out the limitations of machine translation when the app kept describing the GV-17L as a "Cancer Pod."
  18. I have no idea what I just watched.
  19. I've always taken the Master Files with a grain of salt. Their depiction of the VF-19E differs from Macross 30's depiction, for example. You know, I had the app on my old phone, but I forgot to install it when I upgraded. Thanks for reminding me. It does help quite a bit.
