    I keep the intake covers on all the time except maybe for photo taking. When you have dozens of valks, it gets a bit onerous keeping track of all the little baggies with each valk's intake covers. I don't keep them in their boxes because that's even more annoying to have to find the box and dig them out. All the little ziplock bags go into one big tupperware container with all the intake covers and other small interchangeable parts.

    Saw this and had to have it. Lego (well, Cobi) USS Enterprise CV-6. Many Imperial Japanese Navy ships fell to her air groups, including IJN Akagi and Kaga. Despite IJN's best efforts, they just couldn't sink her. (Wish Amazon had put it in a shipper box instead of just shipping as is, though.) I might have to pick up their battleship Yamato too.

    Yeah, the shipping situation is why I haven't bought much stuff lately. DHL or UPS shipping everything is pretty expensive, so I've limited myself to stuff I absolutely can't miss (like the 0D).

    Hmmm so after the From Japan email saying they messed up the price, I told them proceed with the order, and they did, but never sent me an invoice for the remainder of the balance. On the FJ page it just says order complete with the 10% deposit. Maybe they're fine with just the deposit and they'll charge me the remainder later? Who knows. Feb 2021 is a long way off.

    Geez Satelight, can you make that gunpod any more oversized? Seems like someone is compensating for something.

    Amazon listed prices have tax included in them. The tax is deducted when you check out (unless you live in Japan).

    Of course some factory schlub isn't going to do as good a job as someone with your level of skill and experience lol But all the more reason for me to get a standard edition and PF and see which ends up better looking.

    The intake position doesn't bother me, but I can see where you're coming from. If we're going to be slaves to the animation, I demand a goofy looking skull insignia!

    NY just makes up the difference by gouging you on shipping and making you wait weeks or months to ship. I don't count NY as a normal retailer anyway. They're scalpers with a store front,

    Thanks guys. Yeah I wish Arcadia would revisit this one with a new mold too. Improve the heat shield and improve the posability, especially around the thigh intakes, It's hard to do any kind of posing without the intakes scraping the main body. Nah, all this is just for my own personal enjoyment. I'm keeping this one forever. Also, I know you're more than capable of doing an way better job than me. Haha no I cheated. I used the cockpit pod from my 11B (which does have a rainbow canopy) for these pics.

    However, HLJ (and any other retailer) will sell at a mark-up over the Arcadia web price because, well, they're a business and they're trying to make money.

    Got my VF-11C to where I'm satisfied with it now. Such a lovely bird relegated to cannon fodder duty. Guess I should get the 11B up to speed too.

    Like with the PF 0D, I'm not worried about that since it's a reissue, not a first time release of a new mold. Actually, this will be the third release of the VF-4. The VF-4 line never had any serious problems.

    I only paid the 10% deposit. I'd like a new PF YF-21, but whatever happened to the PF YF-19 they showed some years back?

You don't have to create an Arcadia account or anything. https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/ Create an account at FJ and then go here. https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/urlOrder Copy and paste the Arcadia URL for the PF VF-4, fill out the rest of the next page (it's all in English and very straightforward), submit, then wait for the email from From Japan confirming the order.

    Oh I just remembered I still have that 10% coupon from HLJ. Might be worth it now to get it there instead of Amazon...

    Yeah, taking into account how much time it takes to panel and decal up a VF-4 (having done it myself), I'd rather just pay the extra money. My time is more valuable than that these days. Ask Yamato how the volume-profits model worked out for them.

    Until NY or whoever is willing to carry webshop exclusives posts theirs, you have to use a proxy to order direct from Arcadia.
