  1. As I was poking around I kept running across the black versions. But I can't tell what are in the boxes half the time. It seems like there are different versions and repaints? One of the black versions has a cape??? Can you pop a pic of yours and possibly the box cover? Or just hijack them off the net? A black version doesn't bother me one bit. I just want to get the right one. The red ones go for big bucks. Which I would probably spend if I wasn't worried about it coming out of the box already damaged. Thanks!
  2. Thanks my man. When I do things I tend to go at them really hard. It's made me a Jack of all trades. Master of none. As a big toy guy I can't not agree. Especially for a SOC.
  3. 8lbs? The is purely seat of the pans. But I think a Yeti Stand can go WAY over that as long as it's carrying the load straight down for the most part. Worse case double arm it like in the Lego link.
  4. Thanks. When I got back into this Super Robots were not even really on my radar. But man, I really love the designs. I foresee a day when I have more Super Robots than Macross stuff. Pop that dude out. I'm curious what you think. He's on my list for sure. I REALLY like the EX Gokin Shin Getter. But he gets skethy reviews and is pretty big money. I'm PM'd @Kuma Style about him and he backed up what I was seeing. Could not recomend getting that toy. Too bad. He's awesome.
  5. What he said, it's all about balance. They don't have to be THAT balanced tough. I was screwing around last night seeing how far off center I could mount one Valk. I don't need to, I was just wondering. You can get them offset from the stand pretty far before there is any tipping. I don't have any more experience than that at this point. I will have some soon. I've got 19 stands either here or on the way and I have some "interesting" display ideas. @ChaoticYeti even made me some custom 45deg elbows to pull off something I want to try. We'll see if it works.

I think that armor is love it or hate it. The "love it's" already snapped theirs up.
  7. Well check that out. Thanks for posting. I was going to design and make something. Not any more! $35ish seems reasonable. Did you order direct from them? No issues? Thanks!
  8. The quality and flexibility are outstanding. I give the two thumbs up. @ChaoticYeti is the man. He's going to be getting a lot of my money!!! Tonight I'm going to set up a dual mount stand to get my head around what my options are.
  9. Jeez, that was painful reading. That kind of stuff drives me bonkers.
  10. That looks really nice. What line is that? Do they have other stuff like the MF and X Wings? How big are they?
  11. Yeah, that's the one. If I remember correctly you have to sign up and take a bus out to see the experiment aircraft. I really need to get back down there.
  12. Set up mt first Yeti stand. They're pretty darn nice. So many options now. I'm going to be goofing with these to no end!
  13. My love of big toys certainly creates its challenges. He's about 2" too tall (without the battle axe) for a Detolf.
  14. I love the weathered look that ThreeZero does on a lot of stuff. I need about 2" more for this guy. And as I typed that I came up with a sweet idea for "risers" that clamp on to the existing Detolf bars. Really low profile jobbies. With interchangeable posts they could be pretty much infinitely adjustable (in increments of maybe .25-.5"). Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I could knock a few out in the shop pretty easy. Mass production is a different nut to crack. I need to think about this.
  15. It has to be the VF-1S Focker for me. There is a LOT of nostalgia in the mix though. Purely on anesthetics: - YF-19 -VF-31 -YF-21

I wish I had been around for the enemy Mecha PO. I want a small army of those guys. But that's cost prohibitive now. Hopefully they re-release.
  17. My love of big toys sure does create it's challenges. This dude looks awesome. He's about 2" too tall to fit in a Detolf though. I ended up pulling a shelf out for now. I'm going to have to accelerate my design for adjustable Detolf shelves.
  18. I found that deposit rule out "the hard way" myself. I had about $50K in deposits from customers on a one time run of product. It was going to be 8-9mo to produce. Somehow PayPal got wind of it and put the smack down on me. It was rather uncomfortable at first. But then I negotiated better terms. Live and learn.

I got mine from Mandrake and to lessen the blow of shipping picked up some other smaller items. Like HMR's.
  20. I sent them e message about the possibility of them not filling my orders before my 6mo in PayPal protection expired. I asked if they could either get in under the 6mo wire or if I could cancel those payments through PayPal and then just make new ones (restarting the clock). They sent back an email saying if I paid for something I was going to get it. Not exactly answering my question. If I'm bumping into the 6mo deadline I'll contact PayPal first and see if my protection extends because they had not been shipped. Which aught to be interesting because per PayPal rules as a retailer you're not allowed to accept deposits for more than 21 days. NY isn't playing by PayPal rules. I'm just going to have to play it as it comes. I for sure am not going to get in a situation where I have lost my PayPal protections.
