  1. This turned out pretty good. I still need to paint the missile ports/doors black and maybe put some kites on the boosters.

  3. Maybe with NY. But I've used DHL three times since the shipping got cut off and each delivery showed up in three days. I've been paying $36/unit average going DHL. The key is to ship multiple units at the same time. Also, I'm not good at relaxing. A super power. And also a super weakness.
  4. So this is pretty cool. A life size Big Chap. I would almost consider something like this..........if the pose wasn't flippin lame. If I'm putting something like this in my home theater for that kind of money, it would need a much better pose. https://bleedingcool.com/collectibles/alien-big-chap-gets-a-7000-life-size-statue-from-hcg/
  5. Chunky Monkey!!!!!! I think I'm going to end up with more CM's than planned for.
  6. Do you know if that's the SOC GX-48 in particular? Thanks!
  7. Getting an idea for space and how things stack up.
  8. How much stuff is in that order? I just got a box from Mandy by way of DHL today with three valks in it. $100ish
  9. What is this?
  10. Oooooo, those are a tough get. Nice!
  11. On the plus side those PO's will probably all be delayed.
  12. Forget it, I found it. It's back a page.
  13. Thank you thank you.
  14. I see a couple things I want to bid on/get on Yahoo auctions. I haven't done this before and looking for advice. If I understand it correctly this is how it works: -Place bid through From Japan? I alreday have an account from pre ordering the VF-0D PF. -If I win the bid am I assuming it gets shipped to From Japan? -From Japan will hold it in the "warehouse" for how long? I want to get multiple things shipped together DHL to amortize the cost. -When I'm ready to ship I let them know and just have them ship it? What am I missing? What measures do I need to protect myself? Anything goofy about the bidding process? Thanks!
  15. How do you get a Valk shipped from Japan for $10?
  16. Just did a Mandy order for two sets of Yamato 1/48 SSP's and a DX YF-30. So not a small box. Shipping was $111.88 DHL. All things considering not horrible. That's a BIG box and comes out to $37/ unit to ship. I have to think that it costs at least $37 to ship a single set of SSP's EMS. So, the tick is getting a a few items if you're going to make an order.
  17. That.....is.......awesome!!!!! Alas, not enough room.
  18. @tekering I see you have a Bandai stand under there with the adapter for I don't know what. What valk adapter is that? How secure is it? I'd like to figure out how to get a YetiStand under it. I could probably do it with that Valk adapter (if that's what it is). Thanks!
  19. This is kind of why I didn't want to get into this. Not because I don't think I could get very god at it. But because I know myself enough to know that I never put just a toe in the water. I jump right in and swim to the bottom. Everything I do, I do to death. I can't stand going half arse. And of course you only have enough time in your life to do things. I do want to learn a few little things though. I can afford the time for that. Yes, you are correct that I like to spray flat/matte because it's way more forgiving when I'm laying it down with my not trained spray finger. I suppose simply slowing down and putting lighter coats on would go a long way to me getting an easy finish. I actual wanted to use either Tamiya TS99 UN Gray or TS100 Semi Gloss Bright Gun Metal. I want the packs darker than the Valk. If you were to use one of these two paints what dull coat would you put over the top of them. I'm not sure what paint will tolerate what as far as top coats and so on. I will be building a mental database from here on out though. Thanks!
