Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Great purchases everyone! -
Duplicates I have so far: Arcadia YF-19 x2 Reason why is because I love to display one in Fighter mode with Fold Booster. Yamato YF-21 x2 Reason is because I messed up the thigh area for transforming it so I decided to get another one for good price. The one with broken thigh will be displayed in Fighter mode with Fold Booster too. VF-1J Hikaru x2 (Yamato & Arcadia) Bought my first one (last Yamato release) before Arcadia announced that there will be a GBP set which I also preordered. Which I will probably paint the goggles grey. Not sure what to do with the first one so I'll probably displayed it in Battroid mode or if ever Arcadia decided not to release a MtF version, I'll customize it.

That is cool jvmacross. I remember seeing those back in Japan of 1984.

Well, it's understandable that some people will get sad when they move the release date. There's some factors to consider why. 1. Stay awake during the wee hours of night to not miss the preorder window. 2. Spend a minute or two whining for not getting it on time. Or if you got cart-jacked. 3. Still awake after the first 2 hours hoping to nab one online even with a marked up price. 4. Probably for some, missing work, since they're too tired to go to work the following day for lack of sleep. 5. Saving money from the preorder date up to the announced month of release. And finding out that the release date is moved to next month. 6. Anticipation kills the mood. And so on and so forth. But I, for one, just glad that I still have an extra time to save more.

You're welcome. Just found it online. Here's the link to be exact including the rest of the armaments that came with it. https://playevolution.wordpress.com/2014/04/06/arcadia-160-yf-19-with-fast-pack/

Don't worry Mog, Tadashii will be back... in a bad way. http://www.movienewsguide.com/big-hero-7-movie-tadashi-alive-plays-villain-stan-lee-confirms-sequel/62242 Still not 100% confirmed but finding out that Tadashii will be back as a villain(?) kinda ruin the magic on the first one. That's the drive of making Hiro a hero. But bringing back Tadashii as a villain, kinda not ok. By the way, is that how it goes in the comic books? By the way, derex, that's a cool Baymax toy. Reminds me of Stay Puft.

I know it's sad upon learning this... but look on the bright side, we have one month to save more.

Me, Grimlock, says great purchases guys! -
This is the reason why I wanted to see a modernized take on the SDFM series. I know there's that 'The First'. But would it be nice to see an updated version of the old one without messing the classic design to much? Like that intro from the Sega Saturn DYRL game. But if they're going to make an anime version of the MtF, I'm all for it. And will welcome for sure any new valk toys that will come after it.
-
I'm looking forward for that one too... if ever.

That's for VF-19A Aisha Custom, Gakken.

Aren't we all. -
Though I admit I like the hands on this one than Arcadia's.

Mechaninac posted this from the Bandai VF-19 Advance thread last Dec 27, 2014: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41848&p=1172579 Guess, we really need to pin this info for new members. Anyways, here you go.

Great hauls! Great shots! -
I'm just going to stay quiet for now regarding the first color. Don't want to feel 'dejavu' again. (Hello, VF-0D.)

You can use Tamiya's German Grey, barurutor. Make sure you get those Tamiya tapes as well to mask the areas you don't want to get painted. Make sure to get the flat one since flat paints somehow dries evenly compared to gloss paints.

True. And what we're discussing here is a reissue or rerelease of the same said Valk. I'm sure if they will reissue or rerelease the same YF-21, price might drop on the first release. With that said, I don't think Arcadia will sell a reissued YF-21 below Y24000 nowadays. And why YF-21 demands greater price is because VF-22, like barurutor and Chronocidal said, is a different valk, and it's from a different show. They have the same mold but with some changed parts. So if I want for example the YF-21 because I like its color, the pilot and Macross Plus compared to Macross7, and still know that VF-22 is a lot cheaper, would you go and buy VF-22 instead? I think the additional factor also why VF-22 is cheaper than YF-21 is because some people know that they like Macross Plus than Macross7. So demand is not as high as Macross Plus valks. For that matter, I'm willing to pay the same amount as YF-19/VF-0D/0S to a new YF-21 as long that Arcadia will revisit and re-engineer it again.

I guess, the best example here is the reissuing of DX VF-25S Renewal and the mentioned Yamato/Arcadia VF-1's and YF-19. Prior of the reissue for the DX VF-25S Renewal, prices were like $400-800 after market. Then Bandai decided to have a reissue 2-3 years later after the initial release. Now everyone wants to sell theirs for lower price since everyone can avail the recent reissue for $200 less. It's the same product only with tightened joints. But imagine if it were a Renewal-renewal version 2 for VF-25S, then for sure prices from the first Renewal will drop instantly. Same thing applies for the VF-1's and YF-19. But, if ever Arcadia finally decided to re-release the VF-4G, they can and will jack up the price up compared to the initial released price and collector will still buy even for just one copy. (Just so you know, I will still buy one, if ever. ) Now you're going to ask why are they going to mark up the price since it's just a 'reissue', it's because they can. Example, the reissuing of VF-1S/Roy/Hikaru under Arcadia banner. And look at the prices now for Arcadia's releases, it still going up after market prices. Somehow, I think of Arcadia, the 'Hot Toys of Macross'. They can dictate the price like Hot Toys are doing and people are still buying. Even we complain to less tampo, miscolorization, and what not, we still buy them.

AFAIK, if it's a 'regular' release... proabably. Now I'm thinking what's there to offer for a 'web exclusive' release from this line? Tomahawk and Defender, down the line?

That could be true, chyll2... And here I am now drooling over this pic.
