Well, let me dig up this old thread by saying that I just finished watching all 50 episodes of this series, and going into with the enthusiasm of a kid I found myself actually enjoying it. I did not care for the anime, but the girls who portrayed the senshi did a very good job and made the live action series well worth watching. Out of all of them, I ended up voting for Ami as my favorite character, although Rei was close. And the fact that they were so cute had me slapping myself because of the way I looked at them because of their ages as well as mine. And considering that Chisaki Hama is the youngest of them all makes me sick because I really liked her with that blue wig. Yes, this show was mindless fun, but if you know that going into the first episode, you'll enjoy it a helluva lot more.

Yep. Good demo. But there are a lot of complainers out there griping about how slow it runs on even high-end computers. I've got a high-end computer myself (Athlon X2 @ 2.5GHz, Dual 7800GTX SLI, 2GB RAM), and it's even slow for me (about 30fps @ 1600x1200 4XAA). But, well, it's a pre-release demo so I'm not ready to start whining just yet. Indeed, it does look like there are a lot of driver problems with it since SLI refuses to work in any mode with it and people get low framerates even with all the eye candy turned off. H 332888[/snapback] Yeah, I'm even having problems playing it on my Dell, and I have a Pentium 4 3.6GHz processor, 4GB RAM, and a nVidia GeForce 7800 GTX OC card. Seeing as how this is just a demo, I'm sure the finished product will be fine. I hope...

Seriously, I heard this story (the chaos cloud) on the radio while listening to G Gordon Liddy's show while eating lunch and nearly fell out of my truck laughing. He read this as a joke and explained later that it was, but he actually had some people believing it. Talk about gullible.

Totally unrelated to BSG, but I had to correct you on this. The one-legged villager who had his skull caved in with the butt of a shotgun was a Viet Cong soldier and not mentally retarded. This much is stated in Dale Dye's novelization of Oliver Stone's script when the movie first appeared in 1987. Okay, back to the Cain bashing at hand...

My overall impression of this episode was "meh!" I did like it, but I remember the Cain of old, and this new version had me hating her the first ten minutes into her introduction. However, it's coming on again in a few minutes. Maybe I will watch it again to see if my impression of her changes.

Yeah. Crappy translations for one. And artwork used on the covers which may differ from the official version. Also check the coloring of the disc. Most official releases are of the silver variety. Boots tend to have that weird gold color or purplish color associated with DVD-R's. And the lack of extras usually associated with first time printings. And so on...

You asked for a picture of the recon viper. Here it is: There is no difference in the actual design of the fighter, other than the addition of an extra engine and the removal of the laser generators to make room for said engine. And the C.O.R.A. computer herself.
