I just got word from Martian Factory today that my statue has been completed and is now on its way, with a refund on shipping no less because of the amount of time it took to produce the damn thing. I have been waiting since June for this thing and from what I have heard, I will not be disappointed. I will definitely be posting pictures of the statue as soon as I get it so all you BloodRayne fans can see it. I just hope I did not flush $150.00 down the drain...

I've been in contact with the site owner as to adding the starships and mecha from Gunbuster as well as some of the aliens. However, the aliens are proving to be difficult, as Gainax only gave dimensions for three of the subspecies of Uchuu Kaijuu. And I'm figuring the Black Hole Bomb will be giving some of those ships a run for their money considering it's got a total length of 869 kilometers and a height of 415 kilometers at the equator.

Happy Holidays To Macrossworld
Noriko Takaya replied to zeo-mare's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well, I got a couple of books I wanted, DVD sets of the 2nd season of Battlestar Galactica and the 1st seasons of Stargate Atlantis and The Outer Limits, some clothes, a cool as hell watch with the Marine Corps logo on it (Semper Fi, brother Marines!), a 2006 calendar of Misaki Ito after I told my girlfriend I already got the Miho Yoshioka one, a couple of gift cards to Best Buy and Circuit City, a new gun cleaning kit and ammo storage crate as well as some other nick-nacks here and there. Christmas was good to me this year, I think. -
Why don't you visit the links provided below and find out for yourself as to what has already been said regarding this. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...ars+revelations http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...ars+revelations

Happy Holidays To Macrossworld

A new sound and video card as well as some more memory for my powerhouse of a computer. That's what I'm getting for myself as I got a $1400.00 bonus from work. I'm also gonna buy a crapload of DVD's with what's left over. God only knows what else I'm getting as I have not requested anything from anyone, so it's gonna be a surprise. Edit: Added "bonus" -
I hearby announce this thread locked.

Yep. Just read this on the ANN. Gonzo, who produced the opening animation for Densha Otoko, is producing a full length OVA featuring the character Mina. Information of the new series can be found here: http://www.gonzo.co.jp/title/mina/. Sooner or later you just knew there would be a spin-off. Edit: Now that I think about it, if Mina manages to make its way here to the US, I wonder if we just might get a licensed version of Densha Otoko as well. The avi files I downloaded are pretty good quality, but I would like something better. It's probably not going to happen, but one could hope.

Does that include such scenes as: 1) Zod or one of his men killing that boy who tried to escape from that small town with the light of a police car. Someone cries out "He was just a boy!" Then Zod or one of his men say something like "He'll never be a man." 2) Superman erasing Lois' memory and then destroying the Fortress of Solitude. Without seeing this, it makes certain things in Superman IV quite confusing. For some reason they would play these scenes when it was aired on one of the national networks. Same thing went with the first Naked Gun movie... a scene cut from that shows how Frank's umpire vest was shot full of holes and deflated; in the theatrical cut, one moment the umpire vest is intact and then in the next moment, it's all deflated and shot full of holes! 346316[/snapback] Don't forget General Zod using an M16 to mow down some Army troops in that fight in the White House too. That scene always stuck with me when ABC ran the international version on television years back.

Msn Movies Rates 10 Best Movie Battles
Noriko Takaya replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I also think that the battle at Rorke's Drift in the movie Zulu was outstanding as well. Geez, I wonder how it felt to be one of 150 men trapped in that fort against an army of 4000? And don't bring up that spears against guns thing. Hours before the Zulu wiped out Lord Chelmsford's detachment at Isandhlwana as chronicled in the film Zulu Dawn, another movie which had a great battle scene. (Historical note: While in Zulu it is portrayed that the Zulus have some of the Martini-Henry rifles used by the British, they in actuality did not have any firearms, as the main force which hit Isandhlwana had not yet arrived to reinforce those troops attacking Rorke's Drift. The end of the movie where the Zulu are singing praises to the surviving British is also false, as the reason why the Zulu cleared the field of battle was because scouts noted the advancement of Chelmsford's surviving detachment which he had split before the massacre at Isandhlwana.) I also do not understand why the opening 30 minutes of Saving Private Ryan didn't sway those idiots at MSN. Other movies with better battle scenes than some of those movies listed in my book are: The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc Braveheart Gladiator The Patriot The Wild Geese Apocalypse Now Hamburger Hill The Battle of Britain Battle of the Bulge Full Metal Jacket We Were Soldiers... -
Nope, they still have the license. MAPS was released on DVD just this year and in my opinion is a pretty decent show. Get it while you can.

Definitely for the uber-geek Star Wars fanboy who could afford it. Geeze, some poor sap is going to go broke buying that thing. -

It's not supposed to. The story revolves around a sterotypical American family living in Japan in an American community. Does Japan have something like Chinatown for Americans, like Americanville, or something?

While the game did have its cheese, the storyline behind them is Academy Award material compared to what the movie shitfest will be. And yes, I loved both games.

I've heard of this series before and have actually seen it. J-List has offered it for sale for a few years and I got the first DVD just out of curiosity and it is pretty funny. There is even a hardcore version, which features adult related material the Japanese censors deemed to spicy for television. As for ADV Films calling it "The Fuccons" and not its original title "Oh! Mikey" kind of puzzles me. Are they going for the shock value by the look and pronunciation of the family's last name?
