  1. Nice pictures, but horrible use of the English language. My eyes are bleeding!
  2. I hope they're upwards in size of say, 1600 x 1200?
  3. This is really lame because I'm even admitting this, but I own a CD of Kim Wildes' second album Teases and Dares and there is a song on there called Blade Runner, which is to make a long story short, about Blade Runner. There are even some audio clips from the movie, and this song was not approved by the licensors of the movie. If anyone is interested in hearing this song, PM me. I'll upload it to my server so you can sample it.
  4. Oops! Should have included a warning, but hey, at least they were clean. Kind of.
  5. Well, you may have an easier time of getting this series living where you do. I had to download all 24 episodes off of a torrent because that show will never make it here to the states as far as I know.
  6. Well, there is the camel toe in one of the black and white images, and Nono seems to be having fun with one of those robot's arms between her legs. And I'm sure the guy selling these left out the really racy pictures. Edit: By the way, its a new sculpt and is more articulate than the old one. I ordered 2 of them, so when I get mine I will take picutres and post them. From the look of the box, it has interchangeable hands like the last one, and some other nifty things.
  7. This isn't the "off topic" forum. It's the Anime or Science-Fiction forum. I can understand if you had a family member pass away and you wanted to share your grief or if you had done something wonderful for humanity like cure the common cold, but posting here on how your little brother pisses you off and ruins your life is not a reason to start a thread. Seeing as how you are 15, just stand up to the punk and tell him like it is. My brother is 2 years younger than me and was a lot taller and stronger because he played football in high school. It didn't stop me from putting him in his place. Stand up to him; he may back off. Now, someone close this thread before we lose any more brain cells.
  8. I finally downloaded the entire series now that I have high speed cable and was able to watch it uninterupted all the way through. Whoa! What a good series this was. I just hope that we will be treated to a US release one day.
  9. All righty then! With Diebuster already half-way through its run, the perverts in the manga industry are getting busy. I present to you, Aim for the Top 2!, the hentai edition. And if anyone is interested in buying these: http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n17054995 http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e46521484
  10. I agree. The title of this thread has "Close me" written all over it. Oh, and by the way. Grow up. How old are you anyway? Getting intimidated by a 12 year-old. And a fat one at that, according to you. If you want to look for some way to harrass your brother, go on over to the forums at AnimeNation and bitch to the other teenagers. I'm sure one of those chuckleheads over there will be glad to help you. Geez...
  11. Well, 40 centimeters comes to about 15 inches high.
  12. Thank you! And at a substantially reduced price too. Gonna get one.
  13. I came across this one completely by accident and was wondering if anyone has seen this. I really like the overall detail put into this and Rei is looking pretty damned hot also. She is not my favorite character from Evangelion, but if I had the money I would definitely buy this one. http://www.hard.co.jp/solid/
  14. Lately I've been going through some of my older CD's I got during the 80's, such as Siouxsie and the Banshees and New Order. And as much as I dislike the new Diebuster show, I've got the CD single for the show's opening theme song, which is kind of catchy.
  15. I myself am a fan of old school anime, but that hasn't stopped me from watching any of the newer stuff and actually appreciating some of it. While I can agree that a lot of the stuff coming to the States is crap, some of it is actually good. I like the anime shows of the 80's, the era where the OVA format was starting to pick up. Us Renditions must have had it in for me when they released Gunbuster and Dangaio. Both were series that I fell in love with the first time I watched them, and Gunbuster is my favorite anime of all time. I didn't have that feeling again for quite a while until Macross Plus was released. Now if you would like a crappy example of newer anime, look at Aim for the Top! 2 Diebuster.
  16. Holy shee-it! I just finished watching all 24 episodes of this series and have to say that it is embarrassingly funny! I'm not a big fan of anime comedies, but damn, this one takes the cake. I feel so violated...
  17. Man, that's a shame too. I guess the Japanese are like Americans and feel that race queens and models can't act either. She did a pretty decent job in the last Godzilla movie though. Maybe I'll check out this series anyways.
  18. I'm a big fan of Miho Yoshioka, and I've noticed that she's in this series. I was wondering if anyone out there has seen this show and can comment on whether or not it is worth my time downloading.
  19. Just to let you know that my site will be down for about 5 days. So no Gunbuster Index for now. Which explains why my avatar is not showing up.
  20. The aliens from Gunbuster are actual life forms which live in space. They just have the ability to project energy from their bodies as a weapon and travel through warp naturally. If anything, the mecha in Neon Genesis Evangelion can be considered organic, as they are restrained living beings housed within an armor shell.
  21. Man, talk about resurrecting an old thread! I myself have since bought this series and yes, I do like it. As for the dub, I have never even bothered with it, as I like the series in its original language anyway. I really did love the 2001 gag as well as the robot parody episode using the actual background music from Evangelion. Great stuff!
  22. Given my obsession for everything Gunbuster, people would say I was a fanatical anime nut. But like most of you guys here, I only like a certain percentage of shows in the genre, and most of them are older series. So, when do I get my application in the mail?
  23. I'll throw in the expected perverted response: Mylene. Other than that, I have only seen a few episodes of the series and have nothing really good or bad to say about the show.
  24. Ooh, look! Someone with an image used as their signature. Bets on how long it will remain there before it is deleted? Back on topic, I'm 40 years old and have been watching anime for nearly three-quarters of my life. I have friends my age and older who think I'm immature for even watching anime because, as it has already been stated, "they're cartoons." Then I have my younger friends who think I'm cool because I watch it. Whatever your predicament, just ignore the ramblings of people who are ignorant of our hobby and just continue to do what you like.
  25. Well, I've only seen the first episode, but the talking cat in episode one kind of reminds me of Luna (do not know Japanese name) from Sailor Moon. Also, that purple haired chick reminds me of a cross between Rei Ayanami and Ruri from Nadesico. Just my two cents worth. Edit: Something else comes to mind. Is it just me or does the diner Nono works in at the beginning kind of resemble the front section of the Luxion?
