Frost seems to have thawed! I was sitting here thinking how when Yamato started making macross toys and brought us out of the great macross toy depression. The valks started out at around $50 and now we have been weened and yamato has edged the price per valk to over $200. It's like the old story of how do you boil a frog, turn up the heat slowly, just an observation.

I just got a VF-1j Revoltech, and I am quite happy with it. When I first saw them I thought it looked very cool and now that I have it here on my desk I am still very pleased. It may not transform but you get a trade off of extreme posability. The joints are tight and the joints to me dont stick out like a sore thumb at all. I think they did a great job of hiding them. Way better than the banpresto valks for posability. And I really like the display stand. My 2 pennies. By the way anyone know what the short black piece that looks like it goes to the display stand is for?

Just like miriya said, it transforms just like the other 1/60's without fast packs. Insert the angled dohicky into the hole on the leg and slide the intake nozzle forward to lock the leg on.

A 1/60 would be cool especially if they make a full armor set for it then I would have to get two!

My choices would also be: 1) VF-2SS 2) Destroids 3) Enemy Mecha

I beleive the legs break off because the toys were assembled with a screw too big for the hole in the hip posts. Most VF-11's came "cracked" from the factory due to the oversize screw. People have even received new VF-11's with the legs already broken off. The easiest fix I have found is to remove the screws from the hip posts that holds the black ball on. If the leg is broken super glue the hip post back together then super glue the black ball onto the post. If the post is not cracked or broken off then remove the screw from the post and glue the ball onto the post. Its not glamorous but it has worked so far for me. The most important thing is if you have a original VF-11 get the screw out if there is any sign of stress in plastic of the post.

Nah! Wasn't directed at you. But it seems like somehow my post had been mis-interpreted by a prior poster as an attack on Robotech fans. I didn't call them ignorant. Nor did I really say much of anything else except that some of them would be welcome. . . but a large number of RT.com people would dilute the MW atmosphere and (for me) spoil the event. DITTO!

A DYRL version would look cool! It would go great next to my M-0 valk, 1/60 Monster and YF-19 FP valk. What I mean is I would rank it as possible to be made as the three I just mentioned. Mind you I would be pleasantly surprised.

I sure hope that is true! I usually only buy one of each and if I really like the variant I try to get two. When I see people with 10+ of a variant or say Fast packs and I have none, it gets to me but I cant complain about their good fortune to be able to purchase so many. I just hate/envy them for it.

I have had my head shoved up my new business the last year and I have fallen behind on my Macross purchases. Now that I have cash to spend again I am looking around for the valk's and accessories I want and missed out on. I am not finding them ANYWHERE! Ebay, online stores, and so on are all out of stock. And what is left is going up in price because there are few left. So I figure that the supply is drying up and then I think well Yamato how about some re-releases!?! I know Yamato has been tight lipped lately but what do you think the chance of re-releases are. Are the warehouses empty and the shelves becoming bare? Will Yamato notice, will Yamato care? I am noticing the lack of supply on quite a few variants and the fast packs. Or~ Am I just panicing?

I have worked on lowering the shoulder height, I have brought it down as far as possible and still clear the shoulder sliders. No new images to add right now. I am planing to go to MWcon5 and I will bring it along with me.

I would like to be added to the list for 1 kit please. I made the 1/60 vf-1d conversion kit before yamato came out with theirs. I still like my version better. And with John doing the sculpt its a no brainer.
