Each member of the TBDX community gets one TOTY voice in this round. You can nominate a toy, or second one, but you have to choose wisely - you only get one vote. So pick the lint out of your brains, review your 2004 booty, and may the best toy win! Rules: 1. The toy must have been released between December 15, 2003 (the cut-off date from last year's TOTY nominations) and December 14th, 2004. This is actually quite a lot of toys so you may want to take a moment to refresh your memory. 2. Only toys made by Japanese manufacturers for the Japanese market qualify. So Zords or domestic versions of Transformers don't count. This also rules out Toymami's Legioss/Alpha and Hung Hing Toys' Gold Lightan. 3. Reissues and recolours don't qualify. 4. You can only nominate a toy that was released for sale as single item. This means that you can't nominate an entire line as a single entry, like Soul of Chogokin or Machine Robo Mugenbine. 5. The toy must actually have been released -- no voting for something that should be out "any day now". Ideally, you should only be voting for toys that you own or have personally handled, but at a minimum, there must at least be box shots of it on Yahoo or eBay. Let the nominations begin....We will be collecting them until December 14th!

Actually, I thought The Rock bought the rights to his name. No? And that finishing move looks CRAZY.

The DOOM series from id Software, yes. And judging by Queen Latifah, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Mos Def, and Eminem, The Rock won't be going by Dwayne Johnson anytime soon.

I am excited by this movie. More for Johnny Depp than Tim Burton. The original has always been one of my all time favorites, despite not being 100% true to the book. Bring it on, I say.

***SPOILER ALERT*** Highlight to read. My $.02 That's what I meant. The very end, with the main guy being the "dead" guy. Never saw the big twist coming. Everything else yes. And his motivation was acceptable too. Of course someone was pulling all the strings. That's a given. I could accept the fact that these 2 guys got a more elaborate puzzle because since the main baddie was the guy in the hospital, the doctor was more directly involved with the guy's life in not being able to save him and/or not seemingly "caring". The photographer, orderly, etc. were just unfortunate to be associated with him. It's like the other people with puzzles were a warm-up to this larger puzzle for the doctor. The were all people who the main bad guy would've seen in the hospital too. Reverse bear trap - drug addict / Razor wire - attempted suicide / Candle - Poison? Aids? I don't remember this one as well as the others) And remember the penlight left behind at one crime scene? It was just the beginning of starting to get the docotr into trouble and to rethink/evaluate/appreciate his life. But I do concede that at the end, they should have show some way that the phone was totally out of reach to the doctor by ANY means. My brother said the very same thing after the movie. However, I can accept that he was just totally distraught and not thinking clearly though. But it was funny how in the beginning when the photographer was trying to initially reach the tape recorder, he couldn't. My brother kept whispering under his breath, use your shirt, use your shirt, and 2 seconds later he did. They played "semi-fair" in my opinion, with people reacting "semi-logically". The thing that bothered me more was the 2 cops going after the killer ALONE, the MTV editing, the rock music, and some other stuff. But again, stuff I can forgive in the long run knowing their limitations and restrictions. I'm excited to see what these guys come up with next.

I kinda know what you are saying, but I sure didn't that end coming. Did you? And I pride myself on catching twists. I'd still recommend it, even though it wasn't a grand slam homer. There were some overall directorial/editing/casting/score choices that I would've done differently, but I also understand that a lot of it was dictated by their shooting schedule (28 days or something like that) and budgetary restraints ($1,000,000). Still enjoyed it. B- movie to me.

The thing about her that really bugged me since day one was the shirt she was wearing in her 'Pieces of Me' video. I believe the word 'PUNK' is what's on it. Hey, I don't mind if anyone's a fan of her music. I don't even mind if her music is "pop." But at least be who you are, instead of trying to fool young teenage girls you are something else. Ugh. Nothing more to add.

yep. AND it happened live on a major TV show. The other part I didn't mention was that at the end when the cast usually says goodbye, she made some lame excuse that her band played the wrong song, when it actually seemed to me like they were trying to save her. She hung them out to dry.
