  1. Predator is a kick ass movie. Jesse Ventura was never better.
  2. C'mon Takara, give us Go-Go Yubari already!!! Outfit underneath.:
  3. The Bride. Where's the blood-stained version? :
  4. I'm so psyched about these! Gimme gimme gimme!
  5. From figures.com: New super articulated Microman figures, 12” The Bride, and 12” Kerberos Saga Figures!! This year at San Diego Comic Con, Takara USA had on display a 12" figure fans have been clamoring for: 12" The Bride from "Kill Bill!"... ...Other 12" Takara figures include a new "Kerberos Saga" series based on the Panzer Cops from the Mamoru Oshii films ("Jin Roh" and "Kerberos Panzer Cop"). Four figures are planned in the series: a Regular Armor Panzer Cop, a "Heavy Armor" Panzer Cop, a Sniper Armor Panzer Cop, and a Communications Armor Panzer Cop. All four will hopefully be available next year! http://www.figures.com/databases/action.cg...show_article=62
  6. I like the fighter. Only thing i really don't like is the seemingly random placement of the R2 unit. Felt that way about the EP2 starfighter too. It's kinda like, "Great! We've got this ship designed finally. It's like the fighter in EP2 had a baby with the TIE fighters in the original trilogy. D'oh! We forgot the R2 unit! hmm......where to put him...where to put him........." To me, these guys should have always been behind the pilots.
  7. Take care of yourself and your daughter. Take things day by day. You have my condolences and deepest sympathies...
  8. Actually, I found out that Europa Films - the company that released Ong-Bak in France - is run by Luc Besson. A company called Magnolia Pictures is supposedly releasing the French edited version in English this November. Meanwhile, the cast of Ong-Bak just finished promoting the film in Japan, where it's titled Mach!!!!!!!! (Yeah, that title doesn't make sense at all.). Here's a link where you can download a video featuring Tony Jaa demonstrating his agility: http://www.cinematopics.com/cinema/c_repor....php?number=933 And it looks like a sequel to Ong-Bak is in the works: http://www.themovieblog.com/archives/2004/...this_month.html Sweeet! I also heard about another Thai movie coming out called 'Born to Fight' from the same director. Sounded like it'd be cool, but didn't have too much info on it.
  9. And if folks hadn't noticed, the lock of hair that's twisted and resting on her shoulder is identical too! Now how's THAT for attention to detail!
  10. heh heh...lil' motion tracker in the house!
  11. I'll admit that he's good at selling stuff to America at large... but I'll maintain that I'm not one of them. I mean, a billion people actually bought Billy Ray Cyrus albums once upon a time... that doesn't neccesarily mean I have to like it. Vanilla Ice... MC Hammer... Milli Vanilli... The list goes on! But it's good to hear that people had a good time. I was thinking of passing, but now I may catch it in the theaters.
  12. Great pics. Imagining the final color the way it is on the Blue Alpha makes me excited for this line. This may be the line that makes Toynami a contender. And gives me hope for their Voltron line.
  13. Part of Australia recently banned swords. I shite you not. Steak knives are the next to go.
  14. Well as a starting point, they want $500 for the E-11 Stormtrooper rifle. I don't know what they're using as a base for the E11 since there's no real replicas available for the Sterling SMG (unless its an airsoft) so it could be custom built. Either way, the M41A is a lot bigger and a heckuva lot more complex than the E11, so I'm thinking $1000 is a good starting point. It'll probably be closer to $1500 or more, since that's what a lot of the older replicas used to sell for. Add in whatever licensing fees there are plus 20th Century Fox's cut, and you've got yourself a $2000 price tag. Ship it to Canada, and I'm looking at nearly $3000. There's a lot of real guns i can buy with $3000, so I'll pass. And the Stormtrooper rifle is almost sold out! Damn! I can see the Pulse Rifle going for around the $1500 mark, just by seeing what the other options out there are. But I personally can't see it going for more. Now if they had the balls to make the samrt gun, I could see that going for $3000. But maybe I don't know enough about guns to really gauge pricing well. Still excited though.
  15. This news is scary. I'd hate to be an editor at DC with the mandate to tie into the movie somehow. With the other comic movies, even though they had varying degrees of success, there was still enough of the essence of the hero to have some kind of tie-in, even if it was just a cover. This one seems just soooo way off. And let's not forget the action figure tie-in. YIKES!!!
  16. Yeah, I had heard something about him playing Shou's stunt double. And I caught the Speilberg nod. Missed the Luc Besson one though. I'll have to look for it again. Can't wait for it to hit the big screen here. C'mon Luc! Get a move on!
  17. Yeah, pricing will be tricky. I can't believe those things go for that much. And seeing as how none of their current offerings are close to the 1K mark, it'll be interesting to see how they price these out whenever they offer them. Now if only they'd do some Anime guns like Alpha/Vice/Poseidon. Master Replica guns from Trigun? Gungrave? Hellsing? Devil May Cry? drooooool.....
  18. THIS MOVIE WILL KICK YOUR ASS. All of the blows connect, no faking here. You can see the stuntmen wince just a second before some of the punches and kicks land. Elbows, Knees, Fists. OUCH OUCH OUCH! NO WIRES. Some of the stuff looks insanely impossible, but from what I've been told about the Thai DVDs/VCDs with behind the scenes footage, it's all really him doing that stuff. Yes, even him running across PEOPLE'S SHOULDERS. His agility is amazing. But Jackie will always be the king to me because of his inventiveness, choreography, and flow. But this guy Tony Jaa is a definite find. A7, do you know if he's working on any new movies? After Ong-Bak, I need to see more of what this guy can do.
