  1. No, I paid roughly $270 plus nearly $40 on preorder night, and NY still "processing" my order. I don't even have a tracking number yet.

The only thing i want to know about this VF-4 is... WHERE ARE MY TOMAHAWKS BANDAI? It is not funny, just finish the line, please! Or else.... I will
  3. Again, what i meant was to file it down slightly, not fully remove it. To smooth it down if you will. This way the swivel doesn't have to be forced vertically as much, and there is still sufficient support for the shoulder to work in Battloid mode. This could reduce unnecessary stress while transforming the valk, thus increasing reliability. I am baffled as to why Yamato/Arcadia think or thought this was a good solution. there was absolutely nothing wrong with the way the 1/48 works, except for the arms hanging a tad too low in fighter mode. Even KC knew not to do that, and came up with a better solution. Arcadia: ARE YOU LISTENING? This is like dating the most beautiful woman in the world, but she has the voice of James Earl Jones. I need to find my V2 Yam Hikaru 1J first release, which is one of those known valks for having the hinge cracking issue. i have never opened it, so this might be a good excuse to crack it free. Then again, i heard the pin being too big is the main issue, but it might prolong its life if less stress is involved. If not shapeways will get yet another disgruntled customer. I know i am super late to the Yammie/Arcadia 1/60 V2 party, but i am still in shock. i am surprised no one has tried to do this in the past[please correct me if i am wrong]. Again, reducing the bump, not removing it altogether. In any case I'll keep you guys posted to see if this works or not. I mean it is a chunky piece of plastic, who thought of that as a viable or reliable solution? Anyway, thanks for reading. @Lolicon That's just pornography!
  4. I want at least a Mandalorian. So i can have Jango, Boba, and... the mandalorian...
  5. That's one expensive unicorn!

Maybe I'll paint the brown parts to gunmetal on my current VF-4. If it comes out good, I may do the same to this new one... If i ever get one.
  7. DUUUDE! SWEEET!

^ this ^ Did the original Vf-4 lineart ever had chocolate/brown parts? I wonder why that choice of color for a valk. Don't get me wrong, i love brownies, but i don't like to mix them with my skull and crossed bones.

i was wondering the same thing. Why not black or gunmetal instead of brown/bronze/chocolate color. KISS indeed!
  11. Yeah, just "soften" the bump slightly, so the shoulder swivel goes above it smoothly, yet it can hold the shoulder position in Battloid mode. I need to transform them and study them first. I have not have that much experience with 1/60 V2 Yamato/Arcadia. To me the holy grail back then was the 1/48, so I got a ton of those, and i believe their shoulder mechanisms are better. I probably need to get a few shoulder replacements, before shapeways or shapewise stop producing them. I have yet to brake one, but i know the pin situation is sadly there for some of them. [I saved that picture of the Yamato boxes lineup which states which V2 1/60 got weak shoulder from you Jenius] Speaking of, my floppy original 1st release 1/60 YF-19 and its broken bicep may live as a fighter for eternity. This is one Yammie, I would not recommend to anyone. It can barely hold together this thing.
  12. I love it 3000 @Lolicon! Did the shoulder break in the usual spot? I may go and file/reduce that shoulder bump swing in my 1/60 valks. I still think that bump just accelerates the shoulder deterioration.

When this thing came out, I wanted it more than my next breath. Sadly this dark 1S was released as many in my near family passed away, including friends. I call it the "dark 6 years" I am really sad I could not support Yamato back then, but I just couldn't. I do want to support Bandai, so they keep making /completing the HMR line. Who knows, maybe Bandia will just release a just few Vf-4, so they don't risk much. One thing is certain, I am not going to go through a pre-order madness for it. I paid 270.00 for the DX Tv max, plus shipping, which is 300+ dollars. Only to see it now for 240,000 yen in some stores. When you plan to spend 190 bucks, and it becomes 300+, it sucks. Specially when not long after that, I had to do some car repairs. This put me in an unwanted risky position, and i hated it. I may have to sell my (extra)NISB 1/48 woodland color with woodland GPB armor to get some things i want. I really wish Bandai would produce this dark grey 1S livery. I will try to get that HMR Roy VF-4, because i am a sucker for Jolly Rogers. I am not gonna sweat it though.
  14. Maybe you can paint/weather a broken one. As if it was rusty and aged from the day it got shot down. Just a thought...
  15. Yeah Great job! Where did you get the gun from? or you did you borrow it from another one of your 1/60s? I want a gun for my HMR VT-1.
  16. There is a learning curve to anything. "if you can't find it, grind it"? is very real? Who are you driving with? The manual experience becomes natural, once your familiarization/coordination is complete. It is not "extra" work, and it is very pleasant. If i ever get tired of manuals or become sick, I will definitely welcome an automatic. It is not fair to deflate the manual driving experience, just because you don't like it. It sounds like you are saying a manual car is more "distracting", and you would be very wrong.
  17. My comment was in no way meant to offend anyone. As long as i have functioning knees, I will drive manuals. I don't need a butler telling me what gear to be in. i enjoy engaging my gears. i enjoy the simplicity of my ship. I have driven automatics, and they are very relaxed and enjoyable. I don't blame anyone for liking them, and still enjoy driving. We are all car lovers. And i say butler, because it is a very luxurious thing, or it used to be, to have an intelligent car than can change its own gears. Now a days, it is becoming more expensive to buy a new manual car, at least in America. PLUS, 10 years driving my car and the clutch plate still working like the first day. Very simple simple system. OMG i love rowing my gears, I can't explain it.
  18. I haven't gotten missiles or fast packs. Simple naked DX Valkyrie will do. For now... Priorities are priorities, and for now, just the valkyrie is a good thing. I wish i got the 1S though... but my goal from the start, was to complete a Vermilion squadron in this line. Don't fail me Bandai, we need a Kakizake! I may need to sell some GPB and FP for the Yammies 1/48. i have several of those new, in box, and i never ever even look at them. 9 Yammie 1/48 brownies needed clothing! It was fun back then, when things were more affordable... It is funny i paid less for my 1/48 fast packs [only the fast packs] than i did for the HMR fast packs, after their original release date.
  19. Ok NY sent me a notification. "Processing" my order. I'd prefer "here is your tracking number", but whatever. I can't wait to see the new solid swing bar in Max's 1A! Totally kidding, the swing bar still breaks up or separate. IMHO, if it was a solid bar, like the HMR, and all Yammies, then this "toy" would be closer perfect.
  20. Ooops, thanks @technoblue for the info!
  21. Where is the big yellow arrow on the side of the head? I don't see it. NY has yet to contact me, and i pre-odered and pre-paid this on PO night, hmmm
