  1. In for one or two if the color is adjusted. Great work man. Looks awesome. This is the only thing that I don't like about the VF-22S Gamlin in battroid mode
  2. This is the greatest thing I've ever seen on this site. Ever. Absolutely unbelievable.
  3. The money issue is a very real concern, imo. If you're a scale person, these don't fit with the 1/60 and cost roughly $75 before shipping to the US (so add another $30 at least usually)...so you end up spending $100+ on it. When the 1/60 Kai comes out, if we assume it's close to the original price for the Double Nuts, that's roughly have the price. If it's your thing, sure, but I'll probably not be spending 1.5x the price for two of the same thing in different scales, one of which fits with every other Macross toy I have and the other does not. As always it's personal preference, but i think a lot of people have very good reasons (funding not the least) for passing on things like this.
  4. I love mine. Great toy and nice in that it's a different configuration so you don't feel like it's quite the same as buying 'another VF-1'. Also, I figured we had all been waiting for one for so long it was worth it.
  5. I should have bought these when they were super cheap on BBTS.
  6. Weird. Another new failure mode to keep an eye out for.
  7. Holy CRAP that's awesome. Absolutely beautiful.
  8. Well said, EXO. I just like the Ultimates costume better. I will say, though...Kenneth Brannagh's Hamlet was VERY good.
  9. I'm surprised they didn't go with something more along the lines of Ultimate Thor. That costume looks a little silly.
  10. For some reason I'm a tad bit surprised this is becoming rare...
  11. Agree about the WWII uniform. I think the released art looks good as his modern uniform but is a little questionable for his 40's look. The Ultimates stuff was so well done...I need to pull out those books.
  12. Looks good to me. Cover it it mud and nazi blood and you've got something.

    Yamato 1/60 VF-X

Sometimes (often?) one of the members on here that is located in Japan or has contacts in that country will organize a 'group buy' for exclusives. Usually involves a down payment and then waiting a long time for it to come. Oh and it will obviously be much more expensive than the standard VF-1. I believe the VF-1A Angel Birds is expected to run around $200+ for example. Don't know what impact this being a magazine exclusive instead of a webshop exclusive will have...maybe make a group buy impossible? I'm sure as the time gets closer we'll get more info on that possibility. For my part, I'll sit and hope that there will be a group buy, because this thing is beautiful.
  14. That is good, beautiful and clear, but you don't have to tear down one thing to build another thing up. Frontier was beautifully animated, imo.

    Yamato 1/60 VF-X

Yeah, I'm in for a group buy on this. Fantastic looking toy and couldn't agree more, it's a fantastic looking color scheme.
  16. Agree. That's a HUGE zipper. It's like they didn't try.
  17. I don't think the "BAF" principle applies well in this genre.
  18. Because the paint job is much better.
  19. Holy CRAP is that beautiful. Just amazing stuff. I'm amazed at some of the modeling talent on this site.
  20. That is unbelievable. I hope once we get the Kai Yamato milks the mold like crazy.
