  1. LOL linked here huh?Damn maybe we get more info SOMETIMES then the japanese BBS> hMm how bout we trade p[orn for MW info. Both sides are satisfied and hey we all enjoy what we get no?
  2. graham does the march issue show anything or was that the one you scanned? LOL damn im behind. Also the notion of a cheap line and a high end line works fine for me...as long as the high end stuff is available for us after the cheap stuff sells.
  3. WHOA should have asked this earlier. Graham do you know if the hip joints in the leg are PVC or ABS? I know it is either or but I am wondering if the legs could get potentially loose over time in the hip area like my 1/60 did. Maybe the possibility is diminished since its PVC but even my PVC MSIA gundam figures are loose...well some not all.
  4. i wonder how long that VF-0S has been in development. I am itching to see how detailed it is. preferably the curent sculpt which graham saw and commented on. Imode or anyone who ahs transalted and navigated through the japanese BBS's, are there any pictures of it that we have not seen or any information that we have not read yet?
  5. yet the japanese are complaining WITH us regarding the parts swap. Sure they may not cater to the americas but when you have fans all over nad in japan bitching about the same thing...priomarily in japan over the parts swap...somethings gotta give. I just think the big scale 0 might bea nnounced sooner IF yamato realizes how many people are bitching at the japanese BBS's/.
  6. I think graham updates news in these forums more than yamatos frontpage ever does and will. Kinda like asking takara for a english version of thheir site..niether hasbro nor the offial takara transformers sites or gijoe sites provide good info...to get good info more than half the time u nedto get a fanboard like this.
  7. The end of january is nearing so I was wondering if the feb issue o hobby dengeki is out yet? perhaps more magazines will follow suit qwith more pictures.
  8. ya know i wonder if graham can tell us. What DOES make these thing retail for 14800 yen? I think that isnt so much secretive that you cant tel us. Maybe they arent truly mass produced and the reason they seem to saturate is because as adults in the toy market we do make up a small portion...the irony being the toys are catered to us and SOC continues to be a well seelling line.,
  9. i am gratefu,l for the news..as a matter of fact al of us are. BUt I think we can all vcertainly agree that we do miss the USUAL updates. LIke someone else said the hikaru 1S and others succh as the elint seeker went by and showed up relatively out of nowhere. same thing with max nad milia the first time i heard was when hlj posted preorders. I remember how graham used to tell us about upcoming products long before they hit shelves...like how the VF11B was fast pack delayed because of some tooling mishaps. See stuff like that dont hurt to know.
  10. while I don't necesarily think the 1/48 is a model kit, I do know this. I we are looking for diecast, yamato is the wrong company. IMHO yamato doesnt do diecast right. BUt the best example of them doing it right to me was the VF11B. Bear in mind I have not handled the YF21 yet but I am sure it is well made. However while it would have been nice for the 1/48 to have more diecast on par with the 1/55 takatoku, I feel that it would have made the hips as loose as the 1/60 since it woudl wear down the joints. LKe I said IMHO yamato cant do diecast right UNLESS the fool thing does not transform. And the ealier mac plus releases. Look at the Giant robo yammies...they get praise for being pretty solid. Now look at escaflowne. He even got called bad things even after years of waiting. Thwe 1/48 is superior to the 1.60s in almost every way except for diecast content. NOW in that respect I dont mind the lack of diecast. Yamato can do plastic right IMHO so if they do plastic then cool. IF they do diecast thats even better. BUt In my experience the irony is there palstic toys are more durable. Transformable that is. My 1/48 is much more solid than the 1/60 i have is. The 1/60 i got became a ragdoll. The 1/48 has become nirvana. glad the swingbar is diecast for if it was ABS it would break. Heopfully the VF-0 if it comes in a big ass 1/48 scale, can havea better design that incorporates diecast doen RIGHT. Aside from that I will stick to my opinion...I stil believe that bandai can do us right with diecast and they have proven it. Intricate trasnfroming combiner robots lke dancougar have been made fully poseable yet retained much diecast content enough to weigh 4lb. now thats engineering baby. With teh VF-0 I really dont mind the lack of diecast unless absolutely necesarry. For med I just grew acustomed to yamato lacking diecast in future releases.
  11. to build a better YF19 and satisfy the fan base the CATER to? A lot of people seem to forget that macross toys by yamato tend to be catered to older collectors like us. NOt only was the Yf19 hyped up but a preorder was even made. We heard about what was going on with it after summer but not much since then. Hey if we saw pictures and HEARd more I can tell you with out a doubt we wouldnt b bitching about it. There is nothing wrong with cashing in on macross 0. i am all for it hence the fact i posted again after a few months. BUt come on yamato you promised us a new 19 now give it.
  12. lke is adi in the other therad...the japaense fans look here too for info~! So yamato saying they only market japan correct yes but that doesnt mean the japaense fans dont get their info from here! Its known thay they do! fans in japan they left not only you but all of us out on info! truly the SUCK~! maybe they are planning something awesome and want people like me to shutup but no i shall digress I want info!
  13. or better yet let ALL of us know at least SOMETHING! WE DO MISS YOU GRAHAM! COme on newsletter or monthly updates! please chekc my previous posts for a newsletter censorship guideline yamato SHOULD look into! it would help the japanese fans plan also! since we KNOW they go here too!
  14. wjhole for the most part i agree....it can also be said that the majority of macross toys by yamato aside from the 1/100 0's are made primarily for the if not adult market then the older collector market..Ya know the teens whjo know better not to try breaking one by forcing it too far. You wouldnt give any of the previous yammies to a 5 yr old trust me. And yes its true they are making money but I think they are primarily older centered. THe toys they make like the escaflowne and big O were certianly not made with kids in mind. NIether was the 1/48 or 1`.60 line. Its nice tehy add the 1/100 so the kiddies can have somethintg but in terms of yamato I think WE the older fans make up their target market. See for hasbro it can be said we make a small percentag but for yamato i believe its really the other way around.,
  15. yea bui see those are models but hey if they did make them...that wouild be pretty cool. We know yamato got the plus license and bandais got 7. SO maybe yamato is waiting for bandai to unleash a new fire valk and blazer before putting out the YF19FP? hmm who knows. It has only been relatively a few days since we have heard of the new 0 toy. I hope to god that we have more pictures on the way either by graham or by hobby dengeki. Due to the universal bitching...if yamato is making a bigger 1/60 or 1/48 perfect trasnformation toy..i have a feeling they will announce it either in a month or 2. Bear in mind it took at least 3-4 months for the 1/48 to be announced after the 1/60 was officially released. but with so much bitching they mgiht be inclined to announce the bad ass big 0 sooner then planned.
  16. uf yamato let graham out of his cage of silence i can guarantee you a LOT of us would shut up and stop bitching...sure a lot of us including me woulsd probably bitch but thats a given....i think a lot of us would be praising a lot more than bitching. true enough it is annoying not getting the info like we USED to do. And as one menmber pointed out peolpe disregard the main page an news now that most of the stuff in the forums. Doesnt everyone miss the golden age when we had the news in the front and discussed in the forums?
  17. now that i think about it, your right. Announcement all of a sudden of a kick ass toy may ruin plans to get a toy u were already saving for to begin with, I still think my plan for the newsletter is kick as and awesome. Anyone with me? COme on graham this in a way DOES ruin some of our future buying plans!
  18. i agree with many points in your arguments. To be financially profitable I think that the only toys to make the jump to 1/48 cwould be Sv-51 ivanov, Nora, 0D shin, 0S focker. while the 1/100 action pose line has more than double the toys listed above. Maybe the kids rent the OVA? Not sur eif they still make VHS but that would be cheaper too. 1/100 for the kiddies and fan fav for 1/48...annnounce this yamato and we are all universally happy... and if theres profit left over or in eccess... 1/48 VF-0A.
  19. not sure if we could call her this but emiko may have been labeled a spy but then again not really. She left the boards after snapping one day and revealing a whole lot of stuff that yamato nor the admins really commented on. However months later some of the suff she spoke of actually came true. Aroudn the tim she spilled beans and got pissed a threat of a lawsuit occured and her informant at yamato got fired. this isnt to call her a spy but really just to reply to what pfunk said. But also I tend to think a lot of the reasons why graham cant open his mouth and spill the beans no more is because of all that happening. I mean after that we barely got any newsletters or somthing and info was far and between to the poont where hobby dengeki and scans made it the more central source of info. Which makes waiting an even better thing to do know...wait to see what comes out since right now...we barely know of upcoming releases aside from hobby dengeki or hlj putting up a preorder. Maybe graham should come up witha list of what he can say.. fpward it to yamato..yamato censors what he cants say...and those become the news letters. i say GAME!
  20. yes i understand this line is made for people in mass market. PErhaps to even take on gundam FIX. it really does seem like a Gundam FIX like line. From then materials to trasnformations.(mninmal swapping as een on zeta plus). WHile I do agree this is more of an action figure than a trasnforming robot toy, Yamato must not forget what market brought it the most profit. Did a lot of kids in Japan know what the hell the VF-1 was>when the 1/60 came out? compared to the YF19 I think NOT. Maybe later on once the oldies and adults educated them on it. yamato came across to us as a collectors company. Making stuff for mass market is fine but to disregard us in favor of more profit...? thats called SELLING out. Sure it might make good business sense but we the OLDER FANS are the very backbone that kept the macross toy line for yamato running. BY the likes of it it seems like a lot of the japanese fans feel the same way as they are now comparing this to a banpresto. NOw the onyl way to prove that they are not disregarding the older fanbase of which it ORIGINALLY marketed to with te inception of he first macross plus toys, is to announce a collecters edition 1/48 or 1/60 VF-0 eventually down the line. Sure my opinion may not reflect the entirety or majority of this board but hey I think its a good call if they announce a big ass one is coming down the line. We all know for sure this 1/100 line is more better for variants and such and that the high end /48 should only be the fan favs since copsts to manufacture and design owuld of course be much higher than that of the 1/100.
  21. they could kick a lot of ass just as long as they dont stray away again into making trasnformable digimon an gundam variants like usual. Theyve got some great talent. The only company I think that can take them on in japan for quality toys is I think takara. I am sure if they can take a super robot and make him fully articulated with no restriction in almost all diecast metal and make zambot 3 and dancougar trasnform then they sure as hell could take on yamato. Why they choose not to or choose not to say anything if they are is beyond me. I agree maybe that would make yamato more open to revealing stuff. Or maybe its actually going on right now qand thats why yamato forced graham to shutup. Its quite obviouis he knows a lot more that he cant tell us. I thin the key to taking on yamato by bandai is to do this -affordable price(they have don this before as most of their stuff doesnt go over 100$...but then again a lot of it does just not MOST) -made it in like 1/72 scale to continue the macross HCM legacy OR dare i say...`155 SCALE! -give it diecast in GOOD areas that dont wear down on other joints. -multiple articulation on par with aile strike titanium gundam. or whatever the hell they call that one gundam tha wait METAL MATERIAL STRIKE GUNDAM. -price it for like 50$. -paitn that doesnt scratch off(shouldnt be a problem for them) -styrofoam box innards. -quality on par with superior SOC releases and with enough heft to satisfy chogokin lovers. as far as detail I have no doubt bandai could take on yamato. I wonder if the japanese fans are more welcoming for a macross toyline brand new made from scratch vby bandai or are content with yamato. BTW i am sure bandai could devise a transformation without swapping.
  22. look at this thread at the wrong section. LOL sorry couldnt resist!
  23. I think some of us have already fessed up that although we wouold LOVE a biger perfect transform.. a lot of us will use the 1/100 to hold us over waiting for the damn big bastard to set down. Yes it should be big but hell thats not bad at all. Some of you are buygin teh coffee table monster and is not like we are saying the thing is too big. Hell if i could affor it i probably would. However I think that al the fans worldwide would be able to be more "accepting" of this toy as a holdover titl the big fish comes to sea. However i could be wrong but for me as long as i knew a big one was coming..i could see the 1/100 in a better light.
  24. Imode that info is awesome dude. Its worse now on japanese boardss huh? And com[arison to banpresto...man they must be pissed. Well tehn again they did compare it to the kayodo trade figures. but to be fai those needed likea million parts to swap at least with this its just a nose...kinda like gundam fix zeta plus only not really. still want full trasnform perfect hmm so they still say its "the suck" do they want a bandai reivial like some of us?
  25. a matching beta woulnd make this worth 80$... a matching bta to scale would make the BETA WORTH 80$ prioze of MP prime? Sporry dude this only goes up to his shin or knee. And for that matter the upper leg of the MPC VF-1 "we regret to inform you that wee lost the tooling for the clear cokpit....we will implement it in future cvolumes...the cvolume 3 sue focker i mean graham will haeva clear canopy and pilot included" remember that a day before it coms out i bet they WILL abnounce tha LOL./ \ but hioenstly a clear glass was on the proto at toyfair what the hell happened to it?
