  1. anyone ever get the feeling that no matter what develops nohing will really change? sorry to be the pessimist but yea.....
  2. Hey can teh F-35B even be a good successor to the Harrier? I remember thinking maybe its good to be more manueverable and supersonic but then I read this and now think...man this commanility crap i thjoguth it ended in the 60s! Anyhoo. Perhaps rockets and cluster bombs? Can those be used on the F-35B? How about snakey eye mk 82 retarded bombs? Sure technical this technical that but CAS pilots gotta be prepared to do it the hold fashioned way and not rely on radar or laser guidance. Also does it seem to anyhone that this commonality crap is forcing the JSF down the throats of some services? Sure its got the advantage of being cheap and common but theres bound to be disatvantages too!
  3. no btu interest in collectors that bandai had pretty much died. Cept for the fact that the arch enemy figures are out and the metal material strikes are coming as plastic material 7.5 gundam figures.
  4. any upgrades for air to air self defense? Yes I know its a CAS and mainly ground attacker so dont school me I know...just wondering since its got sidewinders will it be upgradded to carry amraams? WAit if the a-10 dont got radar...can it depend on another plane to provide radar guidance? OH well. I always had the feeling the A-10 could turn and burn close to the ground with fighters since its a steriahgt wing and its got a huge cannon and sidewinders. I guess the upgrades could also be updated mavericks or GPS bombs.
  5. hey it seems from mechafans translation that he got...seems like in the interview someone said there would be seperate max and milia without armor but the yamato rep says "no you heard that form the wrong person there will be no non armor versions" least thats what I think he meant. BTw ewiulen was this part of a big interview? or was it just those qwuestions posted?
  6. man why didnt that dude ask about teh YF19FP or VF-0? arrrr me want VF-0!
  7. naw no macross 2 ytoys...only bandai made some styrene kits and b club making resin add on parts. I can at least hope we get a tv max vf1a max tytpe...bad ass...never been done before...and yamato has the record for making valk variations nver made into toy form before.
  8. HEHEHHEH ...i would like to bring up some points. 1-Low viz was based on a low viz UN airforce fan custom 2-a lot of the japanese fans frequent this site as we have no japanese equivalent...in this case we are the hotspot for macross internationally! we ARE the site(good job shawn and graham!) why did I bring this up? Well maybe someone on t˙ese boards will make a bad ass custom(a bunch of members have i am in awe of the time dedication and skill put into the customs posted here) and kawamori or yamato will notice..and make it the NEXT LIMITED EDITION 1/48 VF-1!! remember the low viz was based on a custom! Course this might not happen but I think it could.
  9. noone knows...but I think cannon fodder. Then maybe a fan custom based like the low viz....or maybe angel birds and max type tv 1a
  10. i didnt realize that...but 1/64 would be even BIGGER!!!!! Yes I think my limit is 1/48 at this point. MOst big ass model kits are tiehr that or 1/32. Hey David,...since Russia is like...well a cold war enemy who calmed down when communism diminshed over there...WOuld Hasbro be able to score a license form Sukhoi or MIg? I wouldnt mind seeing soem Flankers!(being that relationsarent exactly enough to call them allies I was thinking maybe hasbro could get away making an alternator flanker without paying licensing costs LOL) not to mention Flankers are beautiful. David how bout the Mitsubishi licnsed Viper 0 (FsX F-2) and hiko Kyodotai eagles..are they easier to proquire since they are japanese? IU think panavia tornado and EF2000 as well as F-16I or block 52 C would be AWESOME...its like that comination i think of dreadwing and someone else from g1 masterforce. I am currently thinking up a design of g1etfire asa super tomcat PW400 testbed.
  11. Teasing. Noones heard bout the damn thing since last january.
  12. anyone think the 1/100macross 0 toys will have display stands? I am thinking maybe the gun po can be removed and the stand usd! Why do I think this? Well it is relatively light and since its cheap....yamato knows wea want a fleet of them to display! maybe I am inspired after seeing drifand make a stand ofr his doyushas...gotta admit stands would rule on the new VF-0 toy.
  13. not really. Kobayashi can do it he can design jet planes.....crap either that or I will lol. David I do agree with you to an extent...the original seekers were 1.72 and while I think that was cool for back then I do wish now for either 1/64 or i lucky...a 1/48. That would kick ass. Maybee the line can be called Transformers Alternators:skywars or something like that. I am glad as hell gruman is easy to work with...makes my dreams of an F-14 jetfire a lot more feasible. Since boeing owns mcdonall douglass i believe the seekers might be hard to make in F-15 alt modes...so A f-22 is more likely....and the 2nd seekers(thrust dirge ramjet) could be JSF F-35s! Hell maybe this time around we can get powerglide as an alternator A-10 as well....alternators is the fan line so its really STUPID not to have jets and at least dinobots as well as other characters...they are nice as cars i will never diagree with that...however for a line to succeed u need variety and transfromers has never survived with cars only....teh first series in g1 already had jets and even car robots had differnet stuff as well. THe current rumor is thjat hasdbro is planning them but at the same time is not finalized on scales yet. aking a jet to scale to the current alternators would not only be stupid but cost shitloads of money. (a lot of people dont realizze that this would be craploads bigger than a 1/48 VF-1...who ends up being the same scale as the old g1 cars) so imagine...a 1/24 Vf-1 is big enough as is...HUGE...but a F-15 is bigger than the F-16 size VF-1 in reality.,..so a 1/24 F-22 15 is gonna be HUGE adn colosally expensive. U cant tell me otherwise and say itll be cheap the damn thing is a huge ass plane at that scale. Me and david should work with hasbro in finalizing scales for jets and choosing jets. that would be fun. Hell we even came up with color scheme ideas earlier in this thread going as far as to suggest the hiko klyodotai scheme for the Weekers if F-15 alt moders are selected...however at this point I think the F-22/JSF or F-16 combo is far more likely. MAybe to make variety throw in an f1117. David would it be hard to aqquire the YF23 license? hey wait..mayeb a NATF license wouldnt be hard to snag.....
  14. keep politics to PM guys. LEts get this thread adjusted...i read on tfans.com that theres a rumor takara is showing something big at totfest......since we saw their crap before we he domesti stuff like streak alternator....maybe they will show alternator jets? thats certainly big.
  15. Hopefully we dont kill NOels bandwidth like we did last time he came back. LOL> Man I hope yamato unveils the 1/100 swap VF-0 and hopefully a VF-0D an if lucky an SV-51... Heck maybe teh SV-52 will be unveild! Is it me or did everyone forget about that mecha? Hopefully iy looks badas
  16. iu still think we an get jet alternators..for a fan line its freaking STUPid not to. but then again takara and hasbro hav ade some stupid decisions before....
  17. which is unlikely unless the shock the world next week at wf04 or tokyotoyfest. YOu all know i love me chunky monkeys! for now the yamato shall do. Fromw hat someone said on thi forum a few weeks back...he said that the price is actually cheap since it tka s alot of money to get it made on AUtocad
  18. oh i didnt take it as a flame drif. ONe more thing I thought of.....be carefuly transforming when armor is on....I think if the backpack is not held right it can flop back and snap off form fighter to battroid. So just be careful. that backpack hinge is annoyinh.
  19. hey thats pretty cool. I always thought it was an exlusive event that was hard to get into and pricey as well. Hopefully yamato lets people take photos...I remember one time noel took pics and he ended up having to hold off posting them until yamato unveiled stuff on their own. Graham has yamato informed you of what we can expect to see there?
  20. if anything we wil find out whats going on with merchandise for DYRL 20th anniversary. Tokyotoyfest and wonderfest is on the 22nd so if something were to be made..I am sure it would b unveiled there.
  21. Hey drifand I take a lot of your comments into consideration I never flamed you and I agree....I dont know about the shield but I honestly do tink that the 1/60 backpack is clearly superior than the 1/48s. Though the 1/48 is strong let me stres...dont push that backpack beyond its limit. Even with that latch to support it it still feels funny to me. That is the most fragile part on the toy. I only hope yamato addresses that in the future but I really doubt they will. And oh yea te head lasers arwent weak either..I actually modve the swivel by the laser itself. Althoguh I wouldnt advise it. Just get a feel for it and transformation can be had in a 1 minute time span. The only other thing I dont like aside form price is the rubber....I really feel that the factory workers should make sure nothing is seeping out and have the balls or the afctual bar not even painted to begin with,. its a tad bit annoying when you gotta buy a whole new screwdriver to open the damn hip up. Other than that I overlook those flaws. The rubber seepin aint a big deal to me since I ca always open it up and not to mention the hip joint aint really used that much,..its mainly the upper thigh...the hip is just used to spread eagle and in the transformations.
  22. Not exactly sure but I think its like the japanese version of toyfair. They give out exlusive stuff over at tokyotoyfest. Wonderfest is like another show but with even more limited 1 day only resin kit sales and such(garage kits)
  23. screw cars where are my damn seeker planes? damn it all!!!!!!! I realy hiope that kobayashi dude in japan is working up some good shi* with jet alternators and a megatron at least./ Damn it we need bad ass decepticons not menasaru wannabes whjo cant combine!
  24. ehe even if HG tried using VF-0 in the comics...not like they draw it right Good god man no offenne but even udon is making like the WORST drawings of valks....not that comico was good either but shoot i am disgusted
  25. I would definitely recommend the 1/48......now as far as over 100$....well. I think all of us will agree that we would rather have gotten it for a far lesser price...but then again we can say that for jsut about everything. For what its worth its a GREAT toy NOT model...damn right i said TOY. It is solid and is only beat in durability by the Bandai. The 1/60 and the MPC are both loose as hell over time(mpc rick) and are nowhere near as solid as the 1/48. Ud think since its plastic its frail and would fall apart being limp and such but its not even close....the ratchets are a beauty and everything locks togethere so solidly it amazes me how this thing looks nothing likle the bandai and =was really made from scratch.(unlike other companies who try to mimic the bandai but fail half assed and have loose ass parts). I would say if you want one...get one. You have to have at least one to enjoy the beauty of the damn line..at least experience it. And with al the new high engineered toys...yes its pricey but its definitely better than paying 110 for a bandai dx fire valk(yes i actually did this back in 7trh grade mehhhh). Is it a lot better than 1/60? hell yea. IN almost every way.....I think the onyl reason drifand does not like it better is because of the aesthetics and sacrifices needed to make it perfect variable. ON this board a lot of people love the 1/48 and somwe dont. Granted everyones got their own valid opinions..Just use common sense when transforming...read all the tips form everyone for what to watch out for, enjoy it , and dont leavew it gathering dust! its a damn toy! I also think a lot of people are paranoid and think its such a fragile toy. I have rough and big hands(never a good sculptor in art school) and all my model kits are broke...so i defienitely say this is a toy since i transform is fast and play with it a LOT...im not one of those dudes who transforms it just once a day...when i go home from college I play with it a lot and believe me ur diecast 1;60 will more or likely fall apart before the 1/48 even loosens up. its that good. Hopefulyl we can get them cheaper so i can get another but i hate to admit its most likely not going to happen.
