I think its decent but should be 3,000 yen rather than 4. I really think yamato could care less about what we think and that them being hush has nothing to do with us at all. Do you think it matters? Probably not. Hey as long as hey make money thats what matters...to them money speaks not fans. I hate to say it that way but think about it they are a business they aren't out to become your friend they are out to get your money. Simple economics at that. I thihnk they are hush because it is known that this site is a melting pot and THEE source for macross toy innfo so much that japanese fans go here and make fits if we get first dibs on breaking news. Why? Well after the admin of valk scramble became a father(kind of like jawjaw who had to end his site because hes gonna be a dad too) the admin of valk scramble had to stop his site. HIs site may have been the equivalent of ours since at that time when the 1/60 was released...he and shawn were to unleash the 1/60 review at the SAME time. Soon after the site ended and the japanese fans were leftr with no alternative cept this site. So yes they do make a fit if we get soemthing first . that is why graham has to be so hush. Remember he got in trouble for the qrau announcement. THAT is what matters people. Whether we bitch or not, I never recall yamato actually caring enough to even be offended. They fix things when needed. Is like the same thing with transfans worrying that if they bitch to hasbro, transformers will cease. Do they look ilke they are ceasing? IS hasbro's feelins hurt? Please i am sure all that money brings a SMILE to their face. Granted I this toy is decent. And kind of cheap regarding yamatos other endeavors. But bear in mind it is unfair to say and label ALL of us complainers that will still buy it. We are far from that. Read in this thread. There are legitimate complaints abound. The hips, the landing gear, both can be improved. Who is going tio say they loook perfect? noone? exactly. ANd while money speaks more than we ever will infinitely yamato listens in when needed. But don't thinbk they take it personal when we complain, for everyone of us that complains there are 10 fans who will probably buy the complained about toy.

nope we all dont ride yamato and buy everything they buy. This toy to many seems a step below what yamato usuall pulls off. WHen peolpe head parts swapping they thought 1/60. But when they found out something lke this came out the compaining began. There is NOTHING wrong with criticising the toy. It has its weak points. if the complaining is sickening get used to it. This is macrossworld not ban you when complaining robotech cronie site. and judging from the reception this toy got... no unlike what you said not ALL of us will be getting this toy. I wish it was cheaper ya know? I mean its abs and plastic after all. And it will be smaller than what we are USED to. We are not used to this kind of macross toy from yhamato hence our complaints.

if the legs pins have interlocking mechanisms to prevent floppy hoe hip 1/60 syndrome then kick ass. I think we really need to see te VF-0 with ALL accessories attached(weaponry) IN comparison with a similar sized yamato macross toy to see if its big enough to cost 40$. No magazine has shown a side bvy side comparison pic yet.

in all honesty with the right amoutn of common sense ancd car enad with a strict parent, a kid could transform the 1/48 wirthout breaking it. IT flows real well when transitioning into differnt modes. Thje limitsis being puished though. Now alternator or binaltech smokescreen...christ...took me 7 minutes. ONly took me 1 minute to take on ther 1/48 WOUT lookin at instructions.

my 1/60 hikaru 1A is the sole 1/60 i have and is very very loose in the hips. I heard that the problem is common with all 1.60s.

best MPC review is ginrai's at masterforce.org I believe. NOw as far as being fragile. The MPC believe it or not is more fragile than the 1/48. To meniether is really fragile. MPCs have suspect qc and my rick MPC is a floppy mess while my ben MPC is much much more solid. tyhe later editions have much better qc. The 1/48 aint fragile at all I rough mine up and stuff and to me it is defnitely a TOY. I proudly play with it KNOWING it will not break. here are my rankings on durability 1-1/55 bandai 2-1/48 3-MPC 4-1/60 The 1/60 will get loose over time...mine did and its legs fall out all the time and mine has cracked plastic near the hip area on teh nose. THe MPC is not necesarily fragile jsuyt no where near as solid as the 1/55. It will not lock into place even close to as well as the 1/48.

I have been asking for this for long ass time but as many of you know it has not happened. IOf anything bandai is KNOWN for late ass timing when it comes to macross. The bandai or takatoku valks...everyone wanted the things(remember when a joon valk on ebay got us excited?) back before the yamato valks came out but fast forward to 2001 and the yammies come out and the bandais follow suit see if the bandais had come out maybe a year or 2 earlie they would have done MUCH better than they did coming out after yamatos VF-1 line. so If there is a SOC i bet it will come out when you least expect it.

It looks more likea super poseable to me Look at the head its curved like the SP. I feel the DYRl might be limited as well and for them to compete with yamato...who are they kiding. I think they are just making this for the DYURL 20th av and maybe even releaseing a DYRL DVD pack in or something. mnaybe thats what they are announcing. They know yamato has not made a kakizaki MPC and if they make that..again who are they kidding since their previosu kakizaki did not eve move units. The only thing i see peolp buying is a fast pack set with strike cannon but a gifst set at full MSRP would be a disaster waiting to happen since it would hit discount bins mad fast.

My guess is this. Some of the RT head honchos mentioned they will anbnounce some crap about macross at AX04 in the summer. A lot of people right now are wondering why they are making DYRL super suckables and selling macross plus from rt.com Here is what I think, Notice that on the macross section it has listing for MPC and i-men? also notice on the robotech section the alpha is the only thing listed? I think that this site for toynami is jsut new product listing and crap. I ALSO think that DYRL I-men and MORE MPC VF-1s will come out..in DYRL colors and as evidenced byt eh miriya shown, some of the later MPCs. I think we might see a DYRL hikaru MPC with fast packs giftset. I also think we will see the CVF-1A mold repainted 2x in DYRL colors and a grey fokker 1S repaint with strike armor. Or a strike cannon add on mail in or perhaps a new FAST pack set altogethere with strike cannon included.

from what i hear the original ride armors big size from gakken...the pilot could not mount on the bik.e I at least hope in robot mode it is stable and in bike mode the biker can RIDE on the bike,

anasazi i got an inkjet printer, a imac and adobe ps/illustrator. How do i go about designing the actual logos and sizing? it amazes me how accurate you guys get your decals down to size. Also what kin of paper do I use?(i am in college so alps is way out my league right now)

LOL. to be honest that would mean a REPAINT of the cycle already STORED in the fueselage of the MPc alpha! aside from the already expected msrp of 80$(its toynami who are we kidding) The main selling point to me is the robot mode on the ride armors so if the MPC versions suck., and tank out with a big ass msrp,, I think ill just get some SPs. less money and after all its best mode to me is robot, so it wouldnt matter id get what i wanted for cheap.

wow thats cool guys. Thanks for teling me. man I am jsut missing out. Ever since PS2 went AWOL on me and stuff. I LOVE how the VSZTOL is actually put into strike and I LOVE how the fflight model is a touch above AC4. to be onest AC4 wasnt that bad till you start dogfighting newbs....your friends who rarely even touch sims...once they realize all theyt gotta do to dogdge you is light the burner and turn......well dogfighting gets a bit taxing because thats all they do. So with that it just ends up boring. Now single campign is where AC4 just shines...and that I like since its more in depth. I also like how it has SO many damn planes in strike AND vietnam era jets! I think with so many flankers and eagles, konami just got lazy and forgot to add additional seats in teh ACTIV and E models. Also there must be someone witha flanker fetish because it seems like overkill in that game. I guess they got the idea from AC2-4? weird. but still seems interestin and I certainly want to try it out. shoot if I get a new PS2 this one aint a rent, im BUYIN this game.

Hey boys. Shin culdnt get his ahdns on this because a lethal menace named DISC READ ERROR rendered my PS2 obselete. Yes I opened it and stuff. long story. anyways. Seems you boys are having LOTS of fun with strike here. I mean this thread has grown into a big thread likle most of our aviation threads. Now what I wonder is this. It seems that uppon first imprression this game wasnt as good as avc4. BUt I noticed as the weeks went on, seems you guys got more and more into it. So as of now...how do you compare it to Ac4? What do you like? Does it got more depth? it seems a lot harder and has a lot more optiionbs and definitely not as linaer as Ac4. So wat ya think? come on folks lets have it! and would you recommend it? BTW if any new planes pop up please post or link to sites with new air plane pics. I have seen sites with soem planes but not all.

yea really it dont matter. I mean some of these peolpe judging you might be well educated but when they make half assed remarks about being tioo old and crap, it just makes them come off uneducated if you feel me. Me I usually use shock and awe....I show them at first and I usually get the "wtf? eric you buy this stuff nad play with it too?ehhhh" or the "hmmm cool my bro gets those too" for the most part since I am in college now its almost as if everyone respects it. Then again I am an art major and a bunch of my friends are into comics and anime and get the same stuff I do. I just happen to be the resident macross nut. BUt yea dude dont worry. As long as u dont become poor and make stupid decisions sacrificing stuff you really need....you dont got nothing to worry abioyut.
