what gets me is who are they afraid of? Sure corporate espionage exists but who is a threat? kaiyodo and their trade figures? I douibt it. Toynami? nope not a chance. Bandai is the only culprit but everyone doubts them at this point unless it has gundam written all over it. not like toynami is trying to secure a licnse for making VF-0 toy. NIwther is bandai...or am i right? The onyl threat I would see is bandai and they havent done anything publicly talking about macross toys lately. UNless they are behind the scens making a valk line from scratch behind everyones back.

how can it be too big? How can something like the qrau and monster be justified? talk about too big. Hell its proven fans will buy this stuff. And wasnt it not too long ago that yamato's CEO wanted to make a good image for the company therefore wanted these projects made though they may be big? I dont even think a 1/48 VF-0 would even be taller than the 1/60 qrau. its only long in fighter mode i doubt its that much bigger in battroid mode. Itll cost a hella of a lot mroe than the monster differentiating in hundrers of dollars. If they makea 1/60 then thats fine but that would only make it how much bigger than a 1/60? what 12 inches>? Sure thats fine withn me but i look at the 1/48 line as high end collectabl toys for adults who either like to play with theri stuff and are careful; or for the fan who olieks putting stuff on display and fiddling aorund wiuth every now and then. The benefit of perfect transformation is something i have come to expect with the 1/48 line. BTW a couple years back toyboxdx had an interview with a worker at yamato..maybe the ceo. When he asked toybox(i believe allen yen or mattt alt) about the 1/60 line and of the transformation, he responded that he did not like the swap out transformation. Yamato's answer? "but its CANON" swing bars are canon according tto the animation on the 0 that is, so I feel that this deserves a jump to 1/48...hell i could be bitching for nothing and have a 1/48 VF-0 for x mas. lets hope. now the swing bar argument cant reealy be used for the VF-1...since the 1/48 does i so discretely that its almost unnotifeabl until u transform the damn thing not to mention the leg joints for the hip are LOCATED in the right place in battroid mode according to the line art(on the FLIR sensors).

yes and the VF-0 was made from scratch hence the fact that a lot of us wonder why we hear of the Vf-0 before the YF19. BTW wasnt Yf19Fp announced before the plans for the 0 were?

yea really where is all the info?We havent heard about the 19 since like july or something. It amazes me how the secretive qrau was shwn a lot earlier than the YF19Fp hell we havent even seen the damn thing yet! As for the 0 I am jsut excited we got something but like manyh of you i want a perfect trasnformation and it is a holdover for me. It would be awwesome if we got more updates in terms of news. I mean we havent got a newsletter in count this... a YEAR! remember back in da day when a newsletter was almost monthly? yea I really think its the price point that is bassically getting everyone to desire buying it. If it was say 6000 yen I would think everyone would want to disregard it right away and get the inevitable VF-0 perfect trasnsformation. Others like me just want to et it since its cheap compared to other valks and will hold me over till the big bad boy comes. The only thing that can make nthis the start of a buying frenzy is a whole line of CHEAP variants.

unlke the 1/60 Vf-1...I imagine the chestplate wont have a hard time locking in with all the arm crap having to lock in too. I think the connection joints will Be ABS. I too hope this sells so well that we get at LEAST a 1/48 Focker 0 and Shin 0D. for x mas ya know? Gotta at least make ONE. They started a macross legacy with that damn line let it not end with a Vf-1!!!!! BTW i think Dr clay was comparing to hasegawa since it DOES seem yamato wants to go all out on detail with this one since they are already making it highly detailed and making 2 different noses and including a swap out trasnformation...So i think his main argument was detail vs transformation.

So I take it the sales o this line really do influence if they make a bigger version....oh well i know its inevitable buit these wil do for now.

WOW thats not bad at all! the main piece is the nose piece huh? Is it the nose section including the cockpit or just the nose section directly ahead of the nose? Also THANK YOU! So simple sounding. I still hold out for bigger version perfect type but this seems good to play with whhile i wait~!

if you loook at the hobby japan scans on macrossworld in the mag section..it loooks liek the same model guys. I mean the nose is big in both battroid and gerwalk mode and the arms are small. This led mne to assume last year that yamato was working closely with yamato and satelight while production was commencing on both the toys and the cg models and animation. WHile I do not think there is that mich anime magic going on I still think it is possible to get a big perfect trasnformation toy. As you can tell the only healing wound for this for most of us seems to be price. I am not sure all of us liked the scale ...maybe a handful but like i said its cheap and soemthing i can enjoy while i wait for the bigger end all version. Eh oh yea GRAHAM Congrats on the kid! Is this small scale one suppposed to be HIGH detail or just cheap? perhaps both?(cheap in price) Also can you fill us in on what transformation is like and complexity? I am hoping the nose is the ONLY thing we have to swap out although it seems the backpack might hav to go also...could b wrong.

I am guessing its either F-22(which hasbron used on energon starscream,) or the F-15....hopefully F-15Dj hiko Kyodotai aggressor scheme. David if you have not seen these planes they are the most beautiful F-15's I have EVER seen. I am guessing it is either 1/64 or 1/48 scale. Both of which are bigger than 1/72 scale which the original seekers were.

yep and since they are spaced out by at least 2-3 months u got a lot of time to save. Unlike yamato who has thigns every month so far.. in general it really dont hurt to wait. I got a lot of deals by waiting and such and by the time i finally bought my 1/48 hikaru i took pleasure in knpwing that... -doors made to openb easier -price was good since discount x mas sale especially before th yen hit the floor -colors were awesome plus firwst hikaru 1S made -no crooked skulls -saved some money

keep in mind they said simple trasnformation VERSION implying theres a complex one down the line. What I do is this 1-wait till first version is reviewed not jsut by admins but by fans on this board 2-see if a better cariant with better qc comes out(with yamato i almost always do this and it aint bad waiting though i hate it...) 3-see what else i want 4-wait and see if the 2nd to come out has better qc or impending news of further develpments. 5-wait few months after etailers get it because they all slash prices if you wait long enough, 6-make my buiy if it is deemed buyable and worth it to me. With alternators you got months to save bro.. with macross you do as well but alternators are more spaced out accordingly.

greenguy thats what i want too...minimal cost and minimal swapping. i dont mind shelling out for the big ass perfect transform in the future though.

i thin the guys name is shoji lol. Anyhoo yamato proves that it can look good and acccurate as well as be perfect transform. Loook at 1.48 and the VF11B. the Vf1B just needed a shiel added not swapped out. The 1/48 didnt need anything removed nor swapped. Those who want super accuracy maybe the 1/100 is for you. Those who want perfect transformation above all and abig size the coming big one is for us i supppose. Either way its nice to have somethin thi cheap and small on teh side while i wait for the "main course" ya know>?
