Impressive nice work, thanks Graham, any word if Yamato will somehow mark the boxes in their new batch of checked hinges VF's?
-
nothing, I hate reboots/remakes that are not necessary
-
I don't understand what you mean by the number of molds with what I said... besides, the VF-17 has the advantage that Gerwalk wouldn't require too much engineering since the arms don't come out on that mode
-
Thank you Graham! you never fail to deliver I suggest the best way to avoid knurled pins used by mistake is to grab them and throw them out the window I bet the new VF is the VF-17D Nightmare!!!
-
I'm not saying that, I'm just pointing out in my opinion how dishonest Yamato or how they just don't care, after my v2 broke I haven't bought a single Yamato anymore, they've been on sale on HLJ and Over-drive and I've been very tempted to do but in the end I haven't, I just can't deal with having everything broken or floppy on my display cabinet when a product has been proved defective, a company should scrap the defective product or recycle the good parts into a new product, if they can't do this and need to clear the inventory, then they sell the defective product MARKED as a defective one for a very cheap price, YOU DO NOT BUNDLE IT WITH A NEW RELEASE AND SELL IT AT FULL PRICE AND NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT, that's just a shady and deceiving way to do business Again, if Graham haven't asked Yamato in their faces why his brand new GBP set broke, Yamato would not have said anything about it, in a way, at the moment, every macross completest is screwed, they have either bought a broken toy (unknowingly), or have to wait a year for Yamato to bundle it with a fixed VF-J or unbundle it, that's usually what it takes Yamato to sort of fix things...

Even MORE remake madness.......
Valkyrie addict replied to taksraven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
what surprises me the most is that Jackie Chan accepted to do this film about Kung Fu named "Karate" kid, seriously but knowing how hollywood is, they probably told him it was named something else, seriously, what the f*ck is wrong with this hollywood writers/producers, is like the saying the The Great Wall of China is in Berlin... -
I onced caught a fish head in space, THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS big... what's the difference between the old nosecone/crutch and the new one??
-
If Graham hadn't gotten his GBP and broken after some minor fiddling and contacted Yamato about it we would have never knowned that Yamato did this on purpose and didn't bother to tell anyone about it adding insult to injury, for the moment, you can't buy a stand alone GBP, you MUST buy it with a defective VF-1J that will not hold the added armor after the hinge caves and the arm will keep falling out of it's socket, and aside to how people tended to ignore the crack shoulder by "proudly" displaying their "perfect transformation toy" only in fighter mode, you can't really do this with the GBP, there is no way to hide it do you own a crack v2 VF-1?, it's a pain in the ass, everytime you transform it, the arm will fall off, you then have to put it back on, after you do this several times getting everything in place, you start posing the arm with the gunpod and you will take the arm out of it's socket, and then redo everything again, that's a BIG annoyance. I know it's a buyers choice, and the people who have gotten the GBP set at the moment have been people who pre-order it or bought it before Graham found out the truth about this deceit, but if you're going to buy this GBP set at full retail, it's a very poor buyers choice, I'll give you an example, let's say I bough the GBP set, open it, took it out of the box and noticed the shoulder was cracked, I didn't transform it or play with it, just open, check and back in the box, will you buy it from me at full price or close to full price since I only opened it for inspection?? sh!t man! if I buy a sandwich that's going to give me diarrhea everytime I eat it, I'm not going to buy it... what I hate the most of Yamato, is that you never know what you're going to get, Yamato NEVER marks in their boxes some kind of info if the set you have bought has the improvement or not take the VT-1, some with knurled pins and some without it, what a disgrace...

So, is Yamato still selling this DEFECTIVE product at full retail?

Macross Frontier Movie 1,YES it is subbed now edition
Valkyrie addict replied to sharky's topic in Movies and TV Series
my gf loves the original Macross saga, I tried introducing her to Frontier, she enjoyed the deculture episode, but she felt confused on how the plot jumped every time between cheese jpop music and military stuff -
haha!! I'm very sorry for all of you but now everyone knows how I've felt since the beginning the V2 was released and my Roy 1S cracked both shoulder after being super duper careful with it effectively boycotting any further Yamato purchase
-
Sorry mate but you did, Yamato told Graham that all GBP were bundled with overstocked old VF-1J's with knurled pins
-
uhh...I thought Yamato needed pictures of VT-1 with the knurled shoulder pins and it subsequent breakage, not every broken shoulder at least, that's what I understood from Graham's post about Yamato on the GBP thread
-
Do you still need replacement shoulder hinges for your V.2 VF-1?
Valkyrie addict replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Toys
if you continue to transform your "perfect transformation" toy the stress mark will continue growing into a crack and then eventually break you can easily tell it broke when you're transforming your valk, by a snap, noticing a small white crescent shape piece conveniently flying through your field of view and the impending profanity trying to superglue or epoxy the crack doesn't seem like a long term solution -
oh boy, the plot thickens... so Graham, do you think Yamato will do something to replace the faulty shoulder for owners of the VT-1 that were meant to be already fixed?? or will we get the "we'll get it right on the next batch" crap

I second the sticky, it's hard to search between the humongous threads flooded with complains and trolling by yours truly perhaps a sticky with a simple list that can only be edited by mods with new info on common toy problem, so the newbie can just click and know immediately what to look for and not have to read a 20 page thread of rambling -
Macross Frontier Movie 1,YES it is subbed now edition
Valkyrie addict replied to sharky's topic in Movies and TV Series
Ooops, my mistake, I thought it was on September didn't meant to offend anyone azrael, I was just answering since a few people had asked with no answer, it's a bit difficult to sort over this already massive thread when it's full of spoilers and nobody was kind enough to type two letters saying "no" while they kept discussing a Grace fanservice -
ummm....if Yamato KNOWS the old stock is faulty, and KNOWS they are selling them repackaged, shouldn't they be sold considerably cheaper since they are FAULTY and will BREAK out of the box?? or at least put a freaking disclaimer... c'mon guys, SERIOUSLY!!!
-
Thanks for the info Graham!

If only they made TV Roy helmet... looking at your avatar Phalanix, a Macross Zero 1:1 Helmet would be badass

Macross Frontier Movie 1,YES it is subbed now edition
Valkyrie addict replied to sharky's topic in Movies and TV Series
hmmm...since everyone who asks about it (including myself) are being ignored, I'll just answer with what I know the movie has been out since late September 09, but apparently Japanese theaters project movies with an IR signal that block any recording device from catching anything (pretty cool by the way) so no torrents yet I clicked on that link of a guy who apparently did screencaps of the whole movie that had some sort of Grace fanservice, didn't see it to not spoil myself, but I'm curious how he got those screencaps -
and people jump on me when I said it was never officially confirmed by Yamato the hinge problem was fixed, hate to say this but... I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAA! what a nice way to begin the year Since Graham has finally been yamatoed, hope he can persuade them to actually fix this indefinite
