It may not be as simple as adding a bunch of extraneous bits and dodging a lawsuit. If they're even remotely recognizable to the original designs they could attract legal action, and the same goes with story, characters, etc. etc. To completely avoid legal action they'd need to make a movie that's has virtually nothing of the original content but the name. As for why we haven't heard anything of Big West/studio Nue actually suing anyone is because WB/HG haven't done anything with the LAM that they can sue over, yet. They have no set designs, no Mechanical Designs, No costume/character designs; they don't even have a script yet. At this point there's no certainty that this "RLAM" is even going to get made, and there's no concrete info as to what direction they're going with if it does (big if). Now if the LAM starts making some progress (again, big if) and Big West feels that it really is going to come out and use material that they might legitimately own, than they'll probably sue the crap out of them.

yeah, honestly this guy sounds like the last person that should be working on a project like this. I would not be surprised if he gets dumped and they try to get someone else; although they seem to be at the bottom of the barrel at this point. But until we get some script/production details, I still think this is going to be bay-formers but the robots don't talk.

I kind of doubt the chest port are guns, but I'm wondering about the arm bits? those look like some kind of cannon, really big one.

well I think she's hot. and the Meltradi flight suits did have bows on their heels in the show. and I'd rather they make solid PVC figure, the revies are too small and fall apart too easily. the 1/100 toynami's are crap, but they're still better than the MPC's and the old banpresto's; and I got it at a toy show with an out of box kasumi figure for $35. The Misa is an old ARII figure from about '97. they were prebuilt versions of their 15th anniversary kits.. I got it maybe 4 years ago from a little shop in San Francisco's Japan town for about $25. actually the best part was that it came with a little trading card thing in a plastic frame that had minmay in a swimsuit.

not really a newbie or a newbie question, but I can't think of a better place to post this and don't want to make a whole tread about it. I ordered an OD Tomahawk for overdrive a couple days ago, I ended up getting 2 emails saying the item had shipped within a minute of each other. The first one said the item had shipped and had a tracking number, and the second one said "Sorry made a mistake it should have read delivered" and had a second tracking number. Both emails linked back to my order (which has it's status listed as delivered) but there definitely tracking numbers for two different packages. one hasn't updated since the package left Japan, and other says it just left the customs office in Chicago yesterday (Makes no sense for it to be in Chicago, I live less than an hours drive from San Francisco and my stuff always comes through customs there). My point is I have no idea what this means. I just contacted OD about this today, but was wondering if anyone has ever had something similar happen to them/ have any idea what might have happened?

I've always thought the LV-1 looked like ass. I mean, it's all grey, how boring is that. I don't give a crap if that's "realistic," it's on a jet form the 80's that turns into a robot. also the "weathering" looks like crap.

NO GOD DAMN IT! the guitar hero controller for a flight stick was stupid and I WILL NOT GET OVER IT! EVER. He should have just been flying the plane with normal controls while playing a regular guitar at the same time because he's just that awesome. makes way more sense and is still cooler.

kind of reminds me of ozma's VF-25 scheme with the darker grey replacing the bright white. I was hoping this was coming closer to November or December though, with the price of the VE-1 it's going to be like buying three of these at once, way more than I planed to. I'm a little sad there won't be matching FAST packs to go with this though my bank account is thankful.
