  1. actually I'd find that funny as hell.
  2. the PC9801 and the PC Engine are both older than I am so I don't have first hand experience. I'm just repeating what I've read other places (Maqh.net and Mr. March's M3 both list it as a 1993 PC engine game )
  3. how the f*ck... WHAT??!?!?
  4. more like a VF-1 wearing the VF-25's armor parts... hence why it's so cool
  5. because you suggested they make a toy based on a design by tommy Yune (current "creative director" for Robotech) that in turn is based on an animation error. Everything in this thread are original designs form various Macross games which are official parts of the Macross franchise (though not necessarily part of the main cannon time line).
  6. At what point did you suggest they make a VF-4? you were saying they should make a VF-1R, which is completely different from what we're talking about here. wait... why am I even typing this, I'm trying to explain to someone their own statements... I give up. anyways. they should sell the Heavy weapons unit as a seperate variant. they should also do an 'S' varrient using the head form the SHE variable resin kit.
  7. how would you even make that? the whole point was everyone died...
  8. actually, the fighter mode kind of reminds me of the newYamato v.2's (mostly the nose/cockpit area).
  9. does kind of suck, their hasn't been any new robotech material to laugh at in a long while.
  10. I don't know about the original VE-1, but I suspect that rather than using soft PU/PVC they'd be more likely to use somehting like POM like they did with the canards of the YF-19. eh, at this point I still use HLJ more than OD. I'll use both and their service tends to be about the same so for the most part it comes down to who whichever has the item in stock for the cheapest price, which usually ends up being HLJ. HLJ has mor frequent sales, usually has more items in stock, and carries stuff that OD just doesn't. mostly though I like HLJ because they DON'T charge you up front on preorders.
  11. I think you're right, this IS going to be the coolest movie ever...
  12. ugh, I've seen the brĂ¼no trailer one to many times. now I've got this stuck in my head and I can't stop listening to it.
  13. that would be doing a disservice to how AWESOME this movie is. THIS SH*T ROCKS!!!!!!!1! oh my god... my mind is f**king blown. also just for reference, TEMPURA!
  14. I think I tried watching it once, I had no idea if it was a vampire or monster movie at the time, but it was pretty incomprehensible either way.
  15. right, well good thing the VE-1 hasn't been delayed, just 3 more months. mmm, isn't that delicious.
  16. THIS MAN WINS A COOKIE! *please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.*
  17. First I mentioned fast packs in the first place because two other people posted mentioning fast packs. then I just explained how I didn't consider what you posted to be true fast packs. second, that's the only illustration of the heavy weapons unit that I'm aware of, it was originally published in the instructions for a resin kit if I remember correctly. this page shows how the top part of the nacelle (i.e. the arms/shoulders) are removed, and the tail fin is folded down. the top sketch of the VF-4 in the pic you posted shows this configuration. It's generally assumed that the heavy weapons unit parts are placed over the folded down fins as evidenced by the way the tail fin's stick out the side in the same way. also, I never said that it couldn't transform, I just said that it couldn't jettison the extra parts (and that I consider FAST packs to be something that could be jettisoned readily, like every other set shown). although we don't know for sure how it would transform (I have my own theories though). This one here is a fan drawing of the VF-4 as it appears in the SDF Macross: Eternal Love Song video game for the PC engine. ELS was one of the games made without input from Studio Nue and SK (along with Macross 2036), and was made at a time when the only info available about the VF-4 was what's animated in FB2012. The creators of the game made up their own battroid/Gerwalk modes and threw on the boosters.
  18. oh yeah, raggin' on the poor old VF-0 like it's so cool to do. too bad you don't have a new camera like me subtle reference here, if you can catch it you win a cookie.
  19. oh, the Heavy weapon version. I don't really consider those FAST packs. FAST packs imply extra bits that add weapons and fuel that can be jettisoned. Those completely replace the arms and shoulders, and if you Jettisoned them you'd have an amputee battroid.
  20. I don't quite get the fast pack talk considering the VF-4 was never even shown to have one. as for paint schemes; there's the FB2012 skull scheme, the Max and milia schemes frm M3, and the VAT-127 scheme from TISA Mac+ http://www.new-un-spacy.com/forfansonly/vf...127-fighter.gif and it's not official and have no idea where it came from but the black version of the FB2012 skull scheme needs to be made http://www.new-un-spacy.com/forfansonly/vf...ean-fighter.gif and if they need inspiration for plenty of non-cannon schemes, we can always send them a link to Talos' Photobucket/imageshack account.
  21. well I'm from America. Also just because it's not illegal doesn't make it creepy.
  22. I think it's because he's NOT a pedophile.
  23. then what's with the extra set of open shoulders?
