    macross sdf 1

no, it's still a prototype. the final product WOULD have been a massed produced ABS deal if they physically could make it, but they can't so they're make a small run of extra prototypes to sell.
  2. shut up... just... ugh... shut up... ps: the PG ashtray looks like a dog turd with a samurai sword.
  3. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=31168 :facepalm.jpeg:
  4. also the mystical power of song only works if you can back it up with giant robots and an assload of missiles (and yes, assload is the technical term for it)
  5. Ok, I'm not sure what that has to do with the conversation though?
  6. I don't see the point in even having removable intake covers, I never take them off on any of mine. the intakes underneath always look kind of crappy anyways.
  7. hey, what's an extra $100 when you're already spending $700 on a tripod set up. like I said though, I'm looking at a kirk ballhead http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=KIBH1*&N=0 it's only $15 more than the Gizo, and it'll hold 20 more pounds and I just like the construction and finish better. (i.e. more like the Arca-Swiss ballheads. )
  8. oh, also if you just need something for extra support and stability a Mono pod can be a good alternative to a full tripod. Bogen makes some nice, relatively inexpensive monopods. Gitzo makes very nice but very pricey ones. http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews...pod-Review.aspx http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews...pod-Review.aspx anyways, I've been looking at a similar set of tripod legs myself (although new lenses are a higher priority right now, my bulky aluminum tripod works fine indoors and it's so heavy I don't even need ballast). Although I'm saving up for a kirk or Acra-swiss head.
  9. tripods are crazy expensive arn't they? what you need to look at with a tripod is how heavy it is and how much your camera weighs. if you have a big full frame body and a huge super telephoto, you'll need a heavy duty tripod and ball head, if you've got a small camera and lens you should be fine with a lighter set up. you're looking at a 22lb tripod and a 30lb ball head, is the weight of the camera (with lens), ball head and ballast (i.e. full backpack/camera bag) going to be less than 22lbs? anyways, Gizo is a very good brand for tripods, so is Manfrotto/bogen, As for ball heads, that's a good one but if you're going the route of "spurge now and be set for decades" look at arca-swiss it's probably way more than you need now but you'll never need another ball head ever. you'll also need a quick release plate
  10. I hope where all thinking about the same thing... Awesome happy fun times
  11. funny thing is all the TV ads that run here say "from the director of terminator and aliens and Terminator 2"
  12. I don't think he minds giving a ride every once in a while
  13. no. it's going to look like the pre-production sample and not the crappy photoshop, and the whole point is that it IS an unpainted niche piece. :edit: the promo shots are almost always not indicative of the final product, as they are usually made using early resin prototypes or are fast and sloppy shoops of existing products. the pre-production samples at shows are basically early production runs of the final product and are probably 98% what you'll get in the box.
  14. I find jointed dolls unbelievably creepy. My be it's the nutral expression with those fixed, unblinking eyes, starring endlessly forward with an almost demonic leer. As if waiting endlessly to steal the immortal soul of any man unfortunate enough to meat it's gaze for even a passing moment. A fate worse than death beyond the gates of doom awaits the foolish mortals who look into the eyes of Mara!!!
  15. if you use spray paint or an airbrush, you need to mask the inside too, or you'll get over spray.
  16. But if they put the coating on, you couldn't paint the canopy without removing it anyways. You can scrape the coating off with your nail, there's no way it's going to stand up to masking tape, and if you can't mask it you can't paint the frame.) priming the metal parts would have been nice though.
  17. no it doesn't, every level has a fixed number of enemies. if you kill a guy, he stays dead and he's never replaced. also, belated "clip" vs. magazine RAGE.
  18. you do realize that MW2 DOESN'T have infinitely spawning enemies, right? Also, if you actually THINK about where you're going, you can come up with some pretty novel ways of getting around firefights, instead of just running into bottle necks and dieing over and over. and it's still a better story than halo, so there you go.
  19. that was my first thought too. Honestly, this was the first episode I actually liked. Every previous episode I found fairly boring and i've been considering giving up on the show enterly, It's nice to see some excitement again.
  20. To be fair, he said the Animation budget on SC was twice the money they spent on robotech 3000. Don't forget that 90% of SC's budget was paying for Mark Hamill.
  21. oh dear, lets hope his alien abduction insurance policy is up to date.
  22. the fck? is this some sort of gay porno or something?
  23. the lag is kind of annoying, I'm getting it mostly in ground war though, Team deathwatch has been mostly fine. I love the weapons so far. perks and attachments are much better than 4, although there should have been more sniper rifles (what only one bolt action, WTF? admittedly the intervention is awesome but still.)
