The MPC do look good with fastpacks as long as you do not touch them to make them fall off.
For Toynami, no SDF-1 in the future. I would rather Yamato make one anyway. If he does a DYRL version I would be very happy.
I never had the Bandai HCM. I would have like to have held one though since I heard the MPC design come from the HCM.
Here are some old threads.

Yep not a hole lot. If you click on my collections and then go to Macross. Most are on the wooden stand. The VF-19 Excalibur is in the curio cabinet. Pictures 5, 6, & 7.
I have built the 1/144 VF-17, 1/144 VF-19 Fire, 1/144 VF-11B, and 1/100 VF-19 Excaliber. I also have 1 VF-19 Excaliber still mint in box. Bandai did a reissue of some of the models and you can get them at verious places now.
My thoughs exactly. They really bulk up the 1/48 nicely. These were the main reason I got the 1/48's was because of the fastpacks. I have enough 1/60's that are bare.
I have no problems removing the fastpacks or any accessories with them. I would say just take your time and be carefully like with anything. I think mines will mainly stay on since if have put the stickers on them to color match with the valk they are on.
It was a pretty good show. I wish I had it all. I think they were going to try to merge Robotech and Exosquad together some how but then it got canceled. Just when Alex came back . It would have been good to see it get finished.
1. Not $80 though. If you can get them cheep($50 or less) then with the fastpacks yes. Mainly for display though.
2. Not going to happen.
3. Yes, even though on the 1/60 scale it not perfect transformation it is still very poseable. It can be used for display or to play with. If you have the funds try the 1/48 scale with fastpacks.
