  1. I find GNOMES Panel/Start Menu to be quite primitive in look and feel compared to KDE.
  2. This looks outstanding. Good stuff Bandai's making here. At this point the only thing I'm missing are some side covers. I hope they include them from start and one up Yamato on this.
  3. And exactly what problems do the two share??? As for being a parts-former, if plastic pieces break off then it was at least by design....
  4. I fail to understand why everybody keeps whining about Bandai doing the same (popular) valks. Its not as though Yamato started their Patlabor stuff with the Brocken, Helldiver or Griffon. Or what about Votoms... first release was a Scopedog, not a Fatty, Tortoise or Diving Beetle. So sit tight, drink a cup a of tea or stare at some line art and eventually your favourite non-mainstream VF will be produced.
  5. Yeah it's a good thing Yamato hasn't started competing with various other "old" franchises from Bandai, CM's, Takara, ... Or even worse, some type action figure line like Kaiyodo's Revoltech. It's really fantastic that Yamato doesn't need to compete with anybody.
  6. Agree. Out of all the AU Gundams out there, it has to be a third Wing Gundam!? On the other hand, the reason for no MG Gundam X could be that they're making HG 1/144 Gundam X. Agree again. The colours on Wing Gundam have always made it look cheap to me too. It's as though they took inspiration from cheap Chinese knock-off toys, when it comes to the colours. As it is, if I ever buy a MG Wing Gundam then it's either going to be Ver. KA or Zero Custom.
  7. Exclusives or not, I'll get this because its battroid already looks a million times better than Yamato's half assed approach.
  8. That would be quite ironic, considering further top right we have a banner add for Yamato... (Never been a fan of the banner on MW) And somebody explain to me why it's (still) Bubblegum Crisis?
  9. Ahhhhrrrrg, I can't believe I completely forgot about Escaflowne..."Dance of Curse" is a great piece. 12. It's been a while since I've watched the Zeta movies, but I think Axis was rammed into the Gates of Zedan or something. I don't think it was ever implied that the Federation or AEUG took control of it in the 3rd movie.
  13. Yeah we do, but last time I checked Yamato doesn't sell the pilots individually.
  14. TV -1S? Sure, but I want it with a Hikaru pilot, not Roy.
  15. I think you misunderstood me, what I meant was the part of the shoulders that swivels forward into the chest in battroid mode. On the YF-19 Yamato provided indentations, but the shoulders never really locked in properly. That's what I want changed for the VF-19.
  16. Zeta movies don't necessarily erase the whole of Double Zeta, it's only the direct beginning that would have to be re-written. The main characters and the first Neo Zeon rising are all still plausible. I hope one day Tomino will also do a Double Zeta movie trilogy thing. But please more darker and grittier in tone.
  17. That origami styled VF-4 looks ugly, I want something more akin to the Wonderfest model (?).
  18. For a 1/48 scaled Gundam, articulation seems pretty poor. Or maybe the pics aren't doing it justice.
  19. The wings for -19F/S stay as they are. It might look better in fighter mode (which I don't believe), but giant wings dangling left and right of the legs in battroid mode is just no go. Aside from the chest, I really hope they fix/resolve the hip area on the VF-19. The intakes and those triangular tabs behind them looked bad on the YF-19. Another thing that bugged me was the "scrunched" look when you bend the leg forward and knee backward. And the shoulders should lock into the chest firmly and not just loosely slot in.
  20. That might be true, but unlike Trek '09 they weren't made for 10 year olds and below...
  21. I must be the only one these boards that doesn't really like Blade Runner. I find the pacing of this movie to be horribly slooooooooooooooowwwwww. Anyway a personal favourite of mine is Event Horizon. The dimension screwing with your mind was an interesting and scary premise. Oh, and Laurence Fishburne was badass in this film.
  22. Here are a couple that I like... - L-Gaim: Time for L-Gaim [MIO] - Genmu Senki Leda: Yukue fumei no haato-tachi [Akimoto Rio] - Patlabor: Sono Mama no Kimi de Ite [Nitoh Yuko] - Sakura Wars: Geki! Teikoku Kagekidan - SPT Layzner: Melos no You ni ~ Lonely Way [Air Mail from Nagasaki] - Southern Cross: Hoshi no Deja Vu - Dragonar: Yume Iro Chaser [Mami Ayukawa] - Bismark (aka Saber Rider and the...): Call Me [MIO] - Dunbine: Dunbine Tobu [MIO] - Nadesico: You Get To Burning [satomi Arimori] (horrible engrish title but catchy nonetheless) - Silent Möbius: Kindan no Panseé [saori Ishitsuka] - Megazone 23: Senaka goshi ni Sentimental [Kumi Miyasato]
  23. So I watched all of Dunbine and the OVA called Tales of Neo Byston Well (with very poor subs). Can someone with more insight explain to me how Shott Weapon fits into the OVA? Basically What, When, Where, How? Did he enter future Byston Well after the end of Dunbine? Or can it be seen as him having actually entered future Byston Well first and then jumping back in time, taking with him all the knowledge of about aura powers/battlers?
  24. @ff95gj - Does the valk feel floppy or does it have potential of becoming floppy real fast? - What about the chest, does it tuck in snugly and lock properly? - How is hip articulation/range of motion? - Is transformation easier than 1/60 YF-19? Specifically does it make the step where you split the cockpit to slide down easier?
  25. Good news that they are going to be doing VF-19F/S (the ones I really want) and that they are putting real effort on the VF-1. As for the web exclusives, I don't really care when it comes to extra packs or armor. What worries me is when the VF-1 rolls out, that certain variants might be exclusive. e.g. VF-1A DYRL Hikaru mass release, but VF-1S DYRL Hikaru web exlusive...
