  1. I hope we see new destroids at Macross F. And a massive ground battle with them. Want to see destroids and troopers get into action.

I think destroids are not useless. Of course, at a colony fleet, valks almost get all the action. But as we see at Macross 7 (or at DYRL and Macross Saga) more then once enemy fighters break through the valks and entered inside of the colony ships and cities. Destroids would be a defense line at some strategic spots at these places. Main reactor area, airlock enterances, hangar door, etc... Also you can use for defending ships. As we saw at Macross Zero. You can place two destroids to protect bridge of the flag ship.

More than likely it would be something more along the lines of the Pattroids from M7 rather than a full blown destroid.

  2. It's already designed! :D It's in 3D so all they have to do is "print" the thing. ^_^

    Anyways on the commercial....

At the 5 second mark is that a big arsed Yamato styled warship or what! Also it looks like their will be a version of City 7 ala City 10. Looks yummy though!!

At the 9 second mark we see, "poo BLOWS UP!", another ship with a 4 nacelle setup. Warship? Ally? Foe? On this note it really does look like this will be a partially human on human war with some aliens thrown in. Come on Anti-UN!!! :D LOL!

At the 7-8 second mark the transformation sequence clearly shows that Macross has now become the home of Super Robots. Valk's flying apart and recombining via energy beam handwavium oh freaking my! Not happy at all....

It could be a new part of the SWAG? armor.

  3. Children come from somewhere: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parent

For example, characters like Isamu and Guld, whom as far as I know are not clones themselves, are most likely the children of clones.

the other Genius kids are mentioned. I believe one other sister appears in the M7 movie, and one or two others appear in some of the games released.

Emillia is in M7 Movie, Komillia shows up in either Eternal love song or one of the other games, of course you could probably add in Moa Ramia from M3 since she's an "adopted" daughter.

  4. Fair enough. But the Trek analogy isn't working for me; I despise it :)

There is also the fact that they just up and disappear with an entire fleet, I don't know about anyone else, but I hate being left hanging, they could at least say they accidently folded into the middle of a sun and all died or something.

  5. There are dozens of pieces of line art on the released DVD's. You should rent them. There is also the artbook for the series...

Unfortunately that isn't possible our local video stores have about three anime each, I'll probably eventually get the art book when I have the $$$.

  6. Okay, this is what I came up with for the VF-X2 version of the VA-3 Invader:

    va-3m-battroid.gif

Now, assuming this is correct for the game version, what is different for the Macross Dynamite 7 version?

I'll see if I can check out the color scheme on Friday for you.

  7. Well maybe somebody will post after this, here is the start of my Space marines army, pretty much done on the marines themselves but I need to finish up the detail on the Land Raider, and repaint my two rhinos and razorback.

Witch Hunter Canoness I was doing for some one else but they decided to not play anymore, I still need to do some touchup and battle scarring and then matte varnish it.

Somebody besides me has to have pictures of their armies?

  8. The new 'Horus Heresy' novels have been pretty good on the whole. Dan Abnett's Gaunt's Ghosts novels have always been entertaining.

BTW, anyone have any cool WH40K wallpapers? I was looking for one that had the Imperial Double Eagle.

I'll have to get a couple of these then.

  9. I can't recall exactly the reasons, just some guesses.

"Fluffwise," it was at some point after the Horus Heresey when the Chapter was secretly making up for it's near treason to the Emperor.

Cool thanks, I've been debating picking up a couple of WH40K novels for awhile, just not sure if they are any good, and other series I want to finish.

Anybody else have pics of their armies.

  10. Well since someone suggested we put up pics of our armies, there is the start of my Tau army, of the stuff I have I still need to finish a Devilfish, and two crisis suits.

I also still have to go back through and do touch up. Plus I'm not the greatest painter in the world.

    What is done - http://www.un-spacy-qmtdb.com/warhammer/Tau/IMG_0164.jpg

I'll try to get new pics of my other armies up soon as well, also as soon as I find my front page disc again I'll reload it and upload a new page to my website with all of them on it, plus updated pics of my friends stuff, if any one else is interested let me know, it may take awhile since the disc is buried somewhere in parents basement and not here.

  11. I still collect, but I don't play anymore. I just picked up the new Codex for Dark Angels and Black Templars and the new space marine terminator chaplain. I've been into 40k on and off since Rogue Trader also, still have the original hard back rule book, red compendium, and white dwarfs. I think its great how over the years they have taken the original artwork and models and woven them into the fluff for 40K back story, my favorite sci-fi universe by far. I played quite a bit a few years ago when the newer game rules first came out, now I just build customs and try to finish painting some squads. I love the modeling, but the painting takes forever.

I have built some large armies, but very little painted. They are made up of mostly metal models ranging from Rogue Trader to now. 5000pt point Dark Angels Army (they are the original black also), 2500pt World Eaters Army, 2500pt Daemonhunters / Imperial Guard Army and I was going to build a Black Templar army. I've only ever played Dark Angels though sadly.

Why did they ever change the Dark Angels to green anyway.

  12. Space Marine? I'm not sure. A new player won't need so many, and an old player won't need it either. After so many years, I already have enough (assembled and unassembled) marines for a company, I don't really need another one.. and the Vindicator's not exactly something you need very many of.

It depends on how heavily the person wants to get into it, A command squad a full quota of troops, plenty of elite and heavy choices as well as transports, would allow for a pretty good mix.

  13. The Baneblade came out because of Apocalypse, so yeah. BTW, it was my LGS owner who wanted a 3-pack, no such thing on offer, sorry.

Apocalypse boxes, yeah, some of them are quite worth the money. The Banies are one, but the triple Leman Russ and triple Basilisks are fairly good, and the many-crisis-suit box is another. Some good value there, but quite steep initial outlay.

The space marine one is pretty good as well, it would definately set some-one up for a good starter with decent overall choices for their army.

  14. Hmm, I probably got this mixed up. My LGS store owner was going on about getting 3 Baneblades, I might have mixed it up and thought they are offering a 3-pack.

(They are offering a box with 10 Leman Russ, mind you.... )

I wonder if that is part of the new apocalypse thing that is going on.

Man I took a look at the new stuff for apocalypse, and wow, those are some huge box sets.

  15. The Baneblade is coming as a plastic kit but not sure how long it would be in production. There's a few things to consider though.

    1. It's definitely going to be cheaper than the Forgeworld model. Resin or not, Forgeworld Baneblades are priced beyond your usual gamer's reach.

    2. Do note that a Baneblade is not something you commonly put on the tabletop for games...

    3. You don't need a Baneblade, you want one. If you want one, this is an opportunity to own one at a cost lower than Forgeworld prices. If you don't want one, then the discussion is moot. :)

Oh I don't need it, but I do want it, heh, heh, I've been waiting awhile to get my hands on one of the big tanks, if nothing else it can be a special project.
