The Acolyte - Disney Plus Star Wars Series

Don’t sully Clone Wars Maul like that. Dude really only had two goals: 1) Kill/hurt Obi-Wan. 2) Get back to a position of power after being cast aside. Everything else pales in comparison to those two objectives. Considering how dumb the original idea sounded, they actually made the horned bastard a much more interesting character in Clone Wars and Rebels. -
I don’t know if it’s the arms or the backpack throwing off the proportions, but it looks a little scrawny in battroid mode.
-
Wonder how hard it would be to Frankenstein the legs off this and place them onto the Yamato and then replace the Bandai’s short bellyplates/hip-guards with the longer Yammie ones?

Needs more Allen wrenches.

At this point, who do we have as characters to still root for? Sol’s probably hiding some secret, but might turn out to still be sympathetic. Qimir is just chaotic evil. Osha hasn’t shown much strength and has been portrayed as a weak putz. Mae flip-flops, depending on what the plot demands of her. I guess they want to show the cracks and decay developing in the Jedi. But you have to show them as having at least some redeeming qualities. Or else, you really don’t care if they all die. -
But the prices are definitely higher than the Detolf’s. That was one of their advantages. And if you lived relatively close to an IKEA, that was another plus too.

There’s a ton of mind blowing science we can teach our kiddos just with planets and their exploration. But getting back on topic, it’s kinda annoying that IKEA stopped making the Detolfs. They have their limitations, but it was a relatively inexpensive, efficient, and clear way to organize your collectibles and be able to see them from multiple angles.

Someone correct me if my memory is failing me, but didn’t the Yamato have the lowers arms extend down to cover the hands and extend the length a bit for fighter mode? Then for battroid, it gets pushed up, exposing the hands and shortening the arm length?
-
Oh look, nothing for the TVC line.
-
Nah, combining two very different design traditions in the VF-1 and Q-Rau and making something that meshes beautifully together? Sure doesn’t sound like Bandai engineers! . . . At least the ones that designed this rendition.
-
I think they went “thicc-er legs” and then stopped at that.
-
I’m despising that fat bellyplate that becomes part of the backpack even more. Such a garbage design choice. Looking at Bandai’s transformation process makes me appreciate Yamato’s design even more. It’s not exactly perfect and can be frustrating at times. But the design choices were simple but effective.

Beskar seems to block lightsaber hits, but I’ve never seen it turn off a saber before. Did these idiots just bulk make their lightsabers? And where the hell is Huyang to teach these idiots how to make a proper saber? -

There’s still lightsaber whip lady’s fight scenes. But the story is slipping from mid to annoying to me. -

Characters should drive plot, not plot driving character traits. And -
I’m hoping they release it after the Ride Armor re-releases.

Too many Black Series, retro, and the oddball line of stuff. Not enough new stuff for the 3.75” TVC line. -

The problem is they’re slow as hell in getting any toys out. Don’t know if it’s a Hasbro thing or a Disney thing. But it doesn’t do them any favors. -

Season 2 of Mando was solid though. I personally didn’t mind Season 3, but I understand why some folks got tired of the fetch-quests. -
So, is the bike transformable. Or just extra parts to add armor to base figure?

. . . Or just say that Whale-Headed Jedi is someone else. Galaxy is big enough, and you don’t draw attention to the sticky Sith situation. -
And that you don’t always need those Force-wielding maniacs to make a good story.
-
They’re using the FP armor to hide how short the hip-guard/bellyplates are. And they placed the battroid in such a way inside the display to make it hard to see how thick the backpack is.

I think the headache is twofold: * The dude isn’t supposed to be alive during this timeframe. * He’s the guy that actually says the line in The Phantom Menace that they haven’t heard a peep from the Sith in over a thousand years. So yeah, putting in the credits that it’s the same character AND that’s like his one memorable line in the entire prequel trilogy kinda irks folks. A lot of unnecessary mental gymnastics for a cameo that really causes more headaches than need be. . . . Because there’s that Sithy like dude ready to off some Jedi with a RED lightsaber. Could have just said it’s a Jedi of the same species without opening that whole can of worms. I personally found it to be an unnecessary link, but I’m more annoyed with the sudden change of heart from Mae. Not enough was developed OR SHOWN to make the turn seem convincing.
