  1. Depending on how they dry and how they actually look once applied, I may have an update for this thread in the next few days/weeks. Wish me luck!!
  2. Before I start, I do have a few points in defense of the whole Eugimon's Omega Pants thing. But this is neither the time nor thread to go into that topic. As >EXO<'s post above points out, it's important to remember that we, as rank-and-file members, don't always see the "whole picture." There was a bunch of behind-the-scenes stuff going on that we just don't see or have access to on the regular board. There's probably a whole slew of PM's and mod discussions related to this topic that we aren't even aware of. As >EXO< pointed out, there was a ton of deliberation and warnings given prior to the ban. Now, I'm sure there's a bunch of folks that will say, "Boo-hoo, we have a RIGHT to see those PM's and discussions." But frankly, we don't have a right to squat. Remember, this board is Shawn and Graham's world; we're just squirrels who get to have a little fun in it. The mods were put in place to keep things running smoothly and to relieve the two head guys of the day-to-day administration of things. If there's stuff they gotta talk about (such as this whole issue or something less serious such as debating whether or not to issue a warning to some member), we have no inherent right whatsoever to see those PM's or discussions. It's just one of those facts of life you have to accept as a member of any message board. But knowing our mods, they'll probably bust out that evidence if folks refuse to consider what's already out there on the boards. Our mods have a way of proving their point and backing their words up with evidence. But at the end of the day, there are rules in place for being a member of this board. Misterryno was given MULTIPLE warnings and even a temporary ban. Regardless of his enthusiasm and exuberance, I can't have too much sympathy for someone who knowingly violates the rules (setting up multiple accounts). Funny thing is, if he had just kicked back and waited for a mere three days, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. He had his chance at "redemption" during that temporary three-day ban. And frankly, he blew his chance.
  3. I'm not entirely sure if it is or isn't a big issue. But I'd be curious to see if folks have avoided certain threads because of excessive "chatter" or because there's just too many posts to go through. I know for myself, there's a few threads that I used to love checking out that I'm a bit weary or "ho-hum" about clicking nowadays. But regarding the 24-hour wait period, we already have a rule in place: Plus, if there's something you need to add or respond to in a thread, there's always the "edit" post function. It's a simple workaround, and it doesn't add another extra post to the thread. EDIT: With a little planning, patience, and forethought, it's fairly easy to do.
  4. ^^Yes, there's the signature scene with the two birds flying next to each other around sunset time. But I was focusing more on the signature moves/techniques the two pilots were known to do in fighter mode. For Isamu, one of 'em was that upside down, almost-kissing-the-ground move he likes to pull off. For Guld, it's usually the high speed configuration that he typically fancies. I really wasn't trying to copy any particular or specific scene from M+. About the closest scene the above pose would approximate would be the last scene during the birds' test flight/competition montage. Only difference is Guld was just in regular flight mode. In any case, here's the pose I finally settled with (I typically display most of my mechs in battroid mode). Enjoy!
  5. Ah, the X-19. It has no full wings to speak of, but she was one bad-ass looking bugger.
  6. I'm surprised no one's posted this pose yet in this thread (with both birds together). In any case, here's the M+ pilots doing their signature thang in fighter mode: This was the first pose idea I came up with once YF-21 was first announced.
  7. Personally, I kinda wish Toynami had put Rand in his armor and just continued the picture they started with the first four Alphas' spines. Yes, I realize it was over two years ago. But adding Rand would've balanced the picture out perfectly. Imagine you'd have Scott and Rand (who are probably around the same height) at the end spots. The ladies in the two and four spot. And the slightly taller and skinnier Lancer smack dab in the middle. Perfect symmetry for the overall picture! Oh well. Hopefully, they put more thought into designing and QC'ing the actual Beta than they did the spine art. ....And yeah, I'll be buying one of these.
  8. Great game, memorable characters, and a ton of replay value. BUT the problem (as with most RPG's) would be that the movie format wouldn't lend itself to the story. If you made CT, any Final Fantasy game, or heck even the original Knights of the Old Republic into a movie, there would be too many plot twists and not enough time to really relate and become attached to the characters. ---------------------------------- How about Virtual-On? Take the concept of remotely controlling these big ol' mechs, and add a crapload of subtext and social commentary. Make the mech battles joyously violent and destructive as hell. I'm talking cities getting totally leveled. Mechs beating up on each other. Crazy weapons galore getting busted out. And hapless bystanders biting it as "collateral damage." Just go all-out with gusto!! But then add in a subtle subtext about how desensitized we get when the battles are far away and how we become incredibly detached thanks to that separation between us and the destruction. It could be a cool, thought-provoking movie. And if it sucks, at least we'd have a ton of mecha pR0n!!
  9. Wow. That's quite lovely. Thanks for the link, wwwmwww! Of course, we've come to expect nothing but the best Tread/Beta related news/pics from you, MW's Resident Tread Head Guru!!
