  1. Exactly....and they got the VF-0 wrong....It ain't called the "Phoenix".... Isn't it? I thought it was. What is it called then? VF-0. Just "VF-0". Plain-olde "VF-0". http://www.anime.net/macross/mecha/united_.../vf0/index.html I think that some one said something about the VF-0 being called the Phoenix in the original M0 story, but the name was dropped. I think.
  2. Manchester, MD here.
  3. The watch stands relieved. Fair winds and following seas to your final rest.
  4. It's not just the OOD who is screwed, the CO can kiss his career goodbye. Just part of the responsibility of command. Besides the destroyer escort ships are supposed to make sure no one gets that close to a carrier during operations so it'll be more than one CO who'll be facing Admiral's Mast or worse.
  5. Well maybe J. Michael Straczynski will have something useful to pitch to Paramount. The man responsible for Babylon 5 taking Trek where no Berman has gone before.
  6. Here's even better news www.scifi.com
  7. You jest, but they just might. www.scifi.com Spoiler alert. Do not read if you don't want to know or have a serious heart condition Hey all that and J. Michael Straczynski told fans that he's pitching a new take on Star Trek to Paramount.
  8. I was a die hard Trekkie once upon a time, but after the first ten or so episodes of Enterprise completely turned me off. Apparently they are trying to get those like me interested in the show. Unfortunately, it won't work with me because I don't have TV anymore.
  9. My vote is for the VF-1A Max TV style. It probably won't happen though
  10. I'll buy one (if my wallet can handle it).
  11. Red is Millia and Blue is Max
  12. I've ruined 2 yf19's, 1 Angel Bird, 1 VF-1J, 1 VF-1S, 6 Strike Fighters, 1 Super Fighter, 3 Battroids and 2 Strike Battroids. I still have one Super Battroid to ruin.
  13. I agree wholeheartedly, but I'm afraid with any topic like this some of the angst will leak in.
  14. Welcome to our world! Have some yoshinol and relax
  15. Oh, don't get us in the USA wrong. We are taking this seriously. Very seriously. Unfortunately, the issue has been shoved to the back burner in light of Iraq, prison scandals, and the economy. I live in Anti-gun Fanaticland aka Maryland, so I know all about it. I am still angry about Glendening and Curran taking the Second Amendment away from the citizens of Maryland, but again unfortunately Erlich hasn't done squat to fix it. I laugh because I am so angry about it that if I didn't I'd be on terminal meltdown.
  16. What about laws to forbid civilian ownership of candlesticks, ropes, and pipes? They can kill people too (especially if you are playing Clue.)
  17. To add to my collection, I am making my own chainmail hauberk. Right now it's mid thigh length and all I have left is the left sleeve to make. I've been working on it since 28 December 2003 and I need to have it finished by 5 September 2004 for my renaissance wedding. Also I have a Sugar loaf style great heaume or helm and a heater style shield. I'll post pics when it's done.
  18. Wow. I wish I had a tenth of the ability that you have in your pinky finger. My model building days are on hold while I make my chainmail hauberk, but you give such great inspiration.
  19. If Hikaru had seen her like that, he never would have given Minmay another thought
  20. Or maybe Hawkgirl or Martian Manhunter Now there are some houshold names
  21. Who is Sinestro? Jim Carrey? I guess that's why they say "Make mine Marvel."
  22. Awesome! I used to have a pic of that very gun (borrowed from Cimarron's web page) as my desktop. But is that charcoal blue really as fragile as they say? Yes to a point
  23. Maybe the second trigger is like the second trigger on a 1874 Sharps rifle - used as a set trigger for precision shooting ...And introducing our newest pilot for the VF-11, Matthew Quigley.
  24. I'm holding out for the DYRL Skull Squadron Box Set which includes Roy, Hikaru 1A, Hikaru 1S, Max 1A, Max 1S, Kakizaki 1A (with a button which when pressed causes it to "explode") and enough dark blue FAST packs to outfit each. Yours for the bargain basement price of $900. Also the TV series Box set including a special Roy with Mickey Mouse hands, Hikaru 1J, Max 1A, Max 1J, Kakizaki 1A, Miria 1J, Hikaru 1D, and Cannon Fodder 1A with the gray/green FAST packs for each. All for a whopping $1200. Plus the 1/48 ARMD and 1/48 Prometheus playsets
  25. If it were a tenth of the price I might think about getting one, but I am having enough trouble coming up with the money for a 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru. Yamato gets an A+ for the idea and an F- for the execution. The price is beyond ridiculous for what you are getting. Granted it looks like a gorgeous helmet, but how many times have we all heard people here complain about Yamato Quality Control? Could you imagine the complaints after someone drops the couple of thousand dollars for this and the paint job isn't perfect? Or perhaps one of the hoses is loose or not quite the right color? Well look on the bright side, perhaps the bootleggers will get a hold of this one.
