I liked the season-1/mini-series sidearm too, cobywan do you have a link to the place you bought the kit from, I might be interested in one too.
-
Sure that would be interesting to see. I finally did see the BBI A-10 and was quite underwelmed, though I was tempted to buy it, with some TLC, and a lot of plastic and hack saws, it could be made true 1:18 scale, lol.

Seems like another overpriced lame robo-toy, I'll pass.

Tried again, this time, just blurring the carrier, and the two wingmen (slightly). I also added a little gaussian noise, to give it a little more real feeling, comments? I'm off on vacation the next few days, but will do some more when I get back.
-
I think you are right mechmaster, if I have time tonight I will try and redo it with the static background and blurred carrier see if that comes out better.
-
Ok this time I recreated a shot from the old s-5000 design. I'm not 100% sold on how it turned out, i think I over blurred the background and carrier, any thoughts?

The original Transporter was fun, as was stated it was good popcorn flick with some mindless violence, interesting stunts, and very cool cars and car chases. Plus there is one benefit to watching a fight with shirtless guys in oil, if your girlfriend gets really into it you have a great time right afterwards.

I think I might know that butt, did you happen to get the name of the pilot of that T-38C? I have a friend from college who is an Instructor Pilot at Vance. 324081 Sorry, I didn't catch his name. I remember him telling me that the primary function of Vance is pilot training (I'm pretty sure he was an instructir). About the only names I can remember are some of the 55th Recon. Wing guys I was talking to to see if they personally knew some of the 55th guys I am friends or acquaintance with. 324334 Ok, then it is not who I was thinking of, man if Liz found out I thought a guy was her she would kick my butt, of course I might enjoy that, lol.

It will definitely be cool to see Sarah Jane Smith and K9 again, I wonder if the epsiode with Head will make any little comments about buffy, or inside jokes.
-
I;m still not getting your meaning ZD, the intakes go almost right up against the fuselage, do you mean those two spots above and below the center line of the intakes? ALso, the intakes are chopped back at about 45 degrees, or are you referring to the front inner mouth? ALso remember I have never drawn the s-5k in the original configuration, instead this is with the gravity engine installed, the original Ion Drive would signficantly change intake area, closing it off. I supposse that one of these days I will have to put that design together.

ugh Paris Hilton sullying the Doctor, that makes me ill. On a more positive note, the original Sarah Jane Smith will be back for season two along with a beat up and rusted K9.

Thanks for the comments guys, I guess I should have included you on the WIP, especially considering that even the guys on sci-fi meshes were somewhat close lipped. As for your suggestions, shortening the nose, I really don't think that would have looked good, besides I need someplace to put the targetting array, nose gear and thrusters after all. @SDK7: I love FSWs, and the cruciform tail I thought was a good configuration, and I thought it out much more thorughly this time. As for a more raised bubble canopy, that is not needed on these. Basically the cockpit has a system in it much like that of the YF-19 in Macross Plus with screeen integrated into all the interior panels that lets the crew "look" through it. So, SDK you a Joe fan? @ZD: I really don't like side by sides on a fighter, its more appropriate on attackers and bombers, like the 3000 model. What do you mean the intakes look odd, is it the reverse thrust nozzle, or just the shape of the forward openning? @Lynx: I will probably go with a combination of options 2 and 3, though I am still thinking that option 4 might make a brief appearance, jk. Also this will not be a major crux of the main storyline, but it will be more of a side story, either represented in a short story or told in introspection. Right now I am leaning towards a short story. I appreciate any further comments you have.

thanks for the comments guys, oh and have you seen the redesign here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=16033 let me know what you think.

thanks for the comments guys, the but the design is pretty much finallized. I really don't see what you mean about it looking nose heavy, the nose is actually shorter then the original, maybe it's the more arcing canopy that does it. BTW nice composition Comicaze.

thanks for the comments LH, I am leaning towards the second story option right now, the third one i just came up with while texturing it, and I think it is the weakest. Of course there is always the fourth option, that somehow involves, A1, Duke Togo, Hurin, DH, Exo, a few others, a time machine, a broken prophalactic, a the swedish bikini team in a jello wrestling competition. But that one may have just been a fever dream. LOL

I just thought I would share this with you guys, I redesigned my old SPlicer-5000 design, again because of problems I saw in the old desing that just started to seriously bug me, hence the redesign. Now I just need to figure out how to fit it into the continuity. I have three ideas: 1) Cut it out entirely, it just ends up being something on blackboard, a concept design. (I'm not a fan of this one, as I like the design enough to keep it in the storyline, but not enough to make it the full production model.) 2) Make it the pre-initial production prototype. Basically they need the fighter out there right away, but can't deliver the final design for another couple years, so in the interim they upgrade the existing fighters with the tech for the new one. The new one then gets deployed a few years later, once the space frame and other systems are ready. 3) The company that makes the fighter cuts corners and produces the old version first using primarily existing parts. They sell it as saying that their chief test pilot, who also happens to be a war hero, contributed heavily to the design. However the design he wanted was the new one, and original was fielded first. Some design flaws cropped up, he got mad and with the rest of his initial design team points out the flaws and calls the company on them. The company is then forced by the senate and space forces to build the new design and replace the old one. What do you guys think, which sounds most plausible, and like the best story? I look forward to your comments.

Just watched, my thoughts, good episode overal, ties up a lot of loose ends, I definitely want to see what come next. AS for the next Cylon, i think I have a pretty good idea. I doubt that it is Doc Kottel, too old for one thing, too many bad habits, other then being nymphoes most cylons tend to lead clean lives, so far as we have seen. Could he be a traitor, i doubt it. Could Adama's chest pains have been triggered by something Kottle did, well yes, he operated on him, as was stated before you will experience chest pains up to months after having your chest cracked open. Excersion caused the pains, using those muscles again in combat, yes that will cause pain. Now as to who I think the next Cylon is, that is easy, it's Billy. I can hear you now, what Billy, I must be smoking crack. Watch the pilot, watch the cut scenes, especially the one where Billy first introduces himself to Roslin. Then think about it, he has been the only one who could possibly talk sense into Roslin, and he knew she had cancer, I rewatched the Pilot to see if she said anything that might be a hint before she told him, there is nothing that I could see, so unless there was something said off camera, he knew already. As for Baltar, yes he is nuts, no he is not a Cylon, yes the cylons are communicating with him somehow. How? Well that is a good question, if it is an implant, it's not mechanical in nature, it is biological and blends with the brain. Assuming of course taht it is in the brain, why not the spinal column, replacing one of his Vertebrae with the device, it could still work. Or maybe there is a six in the fleet that is telepathic and can communicate with him, we will just have to wait and see.

Dag but that is nice, too bad it's delaying the 1:48 VF-1D conversion though, lol. Seriously that is beautiful, I hope he sends it to production company and can get it liscenced, make some money on it, he deserves it.
-
Very nice, when do you expect it to fly?
-
And MGrexx thinks we care about this because? I know there are several people here who work in the gaming industry but I doubt even they care about this.
-
Actually it is an old shot of the 1:48 GBP prototype, someone just colored it in photoshop.

Pass on the remedy for that problem if you find a solution.... 321244 If i find a remedy to that I'm keeping it to myself lol.
