Just curious, as there is a member on the boards, who has been harassing me online for the past several months, and who just spent the night insulting and harassing me over IM. He found me because of the boards and therefore automatically assumes I want to chat with him at all times, is there anyway that we can use these offboard activities to ban him, I have the chat logs.

Ok my bad Cap'n A, now that I see that is looks correct, it's just been a long wierd week for me at work.

DId he fall asleep in a tanning bed or something?

Tis a noble sacrifice this valkyrie makes, when can we expect some shots of the surgery, I love watching that.

Update: Atmosphere shields are done, and I am working on the outboard deck as well as the internal ribbing. Any comments?

Interesting episode, building an entire fighter from scratch is an interesting concept, but unless the Chief already had the designs laying around then there is no way he could have built it that quickly. I really didn't care much for the design either, though I have to admit it definitely looked homebuilt and designed. I was actually glad to see how much trouble even starbuck had in flying it, thr flight controls in that thing will have to be seriously tweaked. Also do we have any good shots of the rear, or can we even see any weapons on there? Those two bits in the nose look too small to be guns, every other craft has larger guns. So what will be usefulness of this craft beyond the moral boost, recon, stealth interdiction, quick interception? Also if you are short on resources and you have the wreckage of a hundred+ cylon craft, why not go out and retrieve some of it? I think it would have been much more interesting to see something along the line of an Ugly. The chief patching together the remains of a few scrapped vipers and raiders to make something new.

Ok you get the pciture, but this effectively finishes the modelling for the runway, no I will progress onto the rest of the deck, the elevators, hatches, walls, capture claws, etc... Comments?

Update: I have all but finished the main runway, all I have to do to complete it is to add the three gravity catapults to the forward deck. These are normally not used, there are better gravity catapults that are easier, quicker, and safer to operate in the walls. These however also break down more often, so the older style nosegear grabbers are also used. The blue/purple panels in the deck are the atmosphere shield panels, and you can also see in one picture the tracks for the blast doors, though I need to make them deeper. As always l look forward to and appreciate your comments.

Threshhold?

Ok, now that I have your attention. A few of you may remember that back in July I interviewed for a Job with the 418th Flight Test Squadron at EDWARDS FREAKING AFB. Anyway, I thought I completely bombed the interview, and after two and a half months of silence I got an e-mail today. I will not post it hear but basically it asked for my SF-50, government form that explains your pay and other details, becuase they intend to MAKE ME AN OFFER!!!!! Needless to say I faxed the the forms off as quickly as I could. So hopefully in the next couple weeks I will hear back from them about an offer. Of course in the next couple of weeks I also expect to hear back about a couple other jobs I applied/interviewed for. Wish me luck folks, and if all goes well I may offer to host MWCON6 next year at New Edwards, my place.

A couple months ago I started recreating famous aviation photos and noticed a serious problem. While my fighters were nicely detailed the capital ships are somewhat less so, especially the hanger bays. So I've decided to build up a detailed version of the hanger with which i can recreate some of the more interesting photos. If any of you who have done interiors before have any suggestions I am open to them. Anyway here is a shot of the hanger as it stands now, alot of the details now done with texture will be modelled in, and a several other details will be added. Comments as always are appreciated.

Ok that must be a rendering bug then, as for your picture with the engine, I will work on something like that, but I need an engine to use for it first. Right now I do not have much of the internals designed, so the best I could do is having the nacelle removed. Plus I would also need a good internal hanger scene to use. Which I plan to start working on soon.

MMM Claudia Black, how about Claudia Black as Athena, then we could get a catfight between her and Starbuck. Oh that would be sweet.

Ok, this one did not come out as well as I would have liked, but oh well, I think it mostly comes from the fact that the background/souce image was too grainy so the bomber stands out too much. That and the fact that I still need to texture the bomber, oh well, it was just a quicky anyway.

Watch your step however as liscencing issues may force many of your fans underground. ZD, what do you mean about the "front starboard gun is shadow"? Do you mean it is in a shadow, should be and isn't, is and shouldn't be, you seem to have left out a couple of words there. As for the second shot, they have a couple thousand feet before the outcrop, but yeah, he or she, depending on when in the scene this takes place, is starting to put pressure on the vertical thruster controls.

Two new ones, these are recreating ones I did a long while ago, infact two design revisions ago. I really need to start doing some with the bombers but have to update them a bit first. ANyway this one is a scene from my first book with three fighters "asteroid dancing," unfortunately the rest of the asteroid field doesn't show up too well, and my asteroid surface isn't up to par with the fighters, oh well. Comments?

What file format are you working with, and how much would you charge for some of us to send you models to build up with it?

Nice design LSB, as for your acertion that Heinlein was a fascist, man I am tired of hearing people say that. On the surface the politics of SST have a somewhat fascist tilt, but it is still a democratic goverment, just one where you have to do government service to in order to vote or be in politics. Which, really isn't that bad of an idea, however most people don't realize that gov service does not mean military service, it could also include what I do, civil service. But I do not want to see this turn into a political debate so I will stop now.
