  1. I actually saw the new Eclipse (A 'production concept'?} at the LA Auto show, and I have to say, it looked pretty good. It was both much more attractive than the current one and much cleaner looking than pictures suggested.
  2. I beat it about a week ago, really liked it. I'm trying to go through on hard now, not very far, though, it's pretty difficult. The enemies are much better coordinated, so it's hard to take them out one by one.
  3. Automotive thread?! How'd I miss this? Anyway.... That Viper on the first page (The Comp Coupe) is already well known, as it was the car Formula Drift series champion Samuel Hubinette drove last season. He'll be driving it this coming season, too, but the car has been reengineered and will be competing in the Viper Racing League. In other car-related news, I've been working at Kragen Auto Parts for the past couple months. It's in the same complex as A7's old PC Club. As for my car, I'm going (hopefully) to be replacing my bumper with a Navan version (From the JDM K's AERO option package) and possibly picking up a carbon hood and some side skirts. A coat of paint may be coming soon after. (Although it's not totally necessary, the bumper's already painted my stock color.)
  4. Not much more to tell. I got in a verbal argument with some guy (who, it turns out, is an ex-marine) who chased me across the parking lot trying to kick my ass. So he's coming at me, I pull my airsoft colt on him and tell him that I'm a cop and will bust his ass if he comes any closer (Yeah, I don't know what the hell I was thinking, it seemed like it would save my ass at the time) I get in my car and leave. A few minutes later, the cops pull up on me and arrest me. So, I think I'll probably be charged with public exhibition of a replica firearm or something like that. Not a huge deal, and hopefully a good lawyer will get me off as a violation, with a bit of probation and a clear record.
  5. Happy New Year, guys. I spent mine in jail. (My dumb ass pulled an airsoft gun on a guy who was trying to kick my ass....)
  6. But it's GP01's rifle, powered by rechargable e-packs, no need for MS power.
  7. Ohh, man, I hope they're not too expensive, I'm gonna need three or four......
  8. I wouldn't recommend 0083 as a starter series. While the design and action are awesome, the plot has more holes than a collander. You can't go wrong with the original series. I'd recommend the movies, as they're available domestically with subtitles (the full series is only available dubbed), and as they're much more affordable than the whole series. Zeta and Char's Counterattack are also great, and the 08th MS Team and 0080 are worth watching as well, especially 0080, which is widely regarded to be the best Gundam series.
  9. "Macross purist mascot Howard Dean"? That sounds like something off of www.timecube.com! By the way, Banky, 'cause I know you're reading our posts, in answer to your question, Skullone is long banned.
  10. For that kind of money, I'd rather have a Zeon jacket. Or one of those SG team member jackets they sell.
  11. Candidate for Goddess is an invalid answer. The series did not have a bad ending, as it had no ending It simply stopped about halfway through the series.
  12. Depends on the series and how much time I have. I watched all of Eva, plus EoE, nonstop. On the other hand, I can only watch a few episodes of Azumanga at a sitting. That series, as great as it is, sort of becomes tedious if watched for too long at once.
  13. Yes it does. Look, we're all in Macross World now!
  14. Wow, what are you running, R-Compounds? I've got Yokohama AVS ES100 on my car, and they're just over 100 a piece in 225/45/ZR17. (My rears will be a bit more, in 235/45/ZR17)
  15. I'll see if I can take pics of them on their sprues. My 1/144 Hazel recently resurfaced, but his feet are missing....
  16. LTSO, you had these kits at MWC4, right? I thought I recognized them!
  17. Speaking of cars, I love that SAC has so many cool cars in it! Batou has his Lancia Stratos of course, we see RX8s a few times, and coolest of all, we see a futuristic Silvia! (In one episode, Tachikoma disables a suspicious looking car, we see the motor and it's clearly an SR20, and we see the rear of the car, which is very reminicent of the S15!)
  18. None of the series, actually. I got into Macross because of the Valkyries themselves. As both an aircraft and mecha fan, the VF-1 was so badass in my eyes, especially because the F-14 was my childhood favorite (and still is) plane. I guess, directly, what really hooked me were the Yamato 1:60s. Series wise, my first Macross, Plus, is what did it.
  19. My younger bro has #1, 2, and 4. Some guy bought the last #3 right in front of us. They've got the rest at Kinokuniya. By the way, they're pretty nice, but all molded in one color, and they're only 1/200.
  20. Bah. The manga fuchikoma designs are ten times better. It's not about the designs. It's the personality, direction, and voice acting that make the Tachikomas so great. Even so, where can I find the manga? GITS and MMI were translated and released, right? I've been unable to find them anywhere.
  21. Hell, crap like this doesn't matter. There just isn't 10 bucks worth of interesting content in NTUSA. I'll buy a copy and will have read everything by that evening, I prefer a magazine with long articles that are actually interesting. NTUSA is just pretty pictures with captions.
