  1. What I find interesting is that the tail wings say "SDF-01B". Was that MegaRoad?
  2. Yamato 1/60 VF-11B sold from Mandarake today for 25,000 yen. https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1098902193&ref=list
  3. It is possible that there was more than 1 mold used, which is possible if they had more than one manufacturing pipeline and ran them in parallel.
  4. Ahhhh I see it. Thanks
  5. I just re-watched that scene... so far, not seeing it.
  6. At least from the Macross Plus anime, it looks like it is folded up rather than detached... as far as I can tell, anyways. Admittedly, I have yet to find the "high speed mode" wing configuration used anywhere in the Macross Plus OAVs or movie edition. I know that both the Arcadia and DX Chogokin included this in their YF-19 toys, but I don't know what anime source material they based that on.
  7. Also, I only just now noticed that the YF-19's head laser broke off during the Isamu/Guld fight at Macross City on Earth. Wow, so Bandai was trying for added realism in having the head laser on the DX Chogokin YF-19 break off during shipping for some folks?
  8. I had completely forgotten that the YF-19 wings were supposed to be able to fold upwards...
  9. When do pre-orders begin?
  10. Is the old 1:55 Takatoku/Bandai GBP in that mix?
  11. I wonder if they could be examples of the ordinance that is contained in the green rocket pods, where each rocket pod has 8 pictured small launch tubes. I think those little 'sticks' would fit inside the rocket pod launch tubes.
  12. Is it just me, or are the Fast Pack shoulder pieces on the DX Chogokin and Yamato./Arcadia toys too small, compared to how they appear in Macross Plus?
  13. The gun pod is also missing the "Haward GU-15" tampa printing.
  14. I noticed a detail on the YF-19 that is missing from the DX Chogokin release... No "YF-19" tampa print below the cockpit.
  15. I suspect those are the micro-missiles that go into the leg compartment, similar to what we see in the Yanato/Arcadia 1:60 scale VF-19 Macross 7 toy line. Perhaps the larger, singular leg missile that is included in the Bandai DX Chogokin and Arcadia 1:60 YF-19 toys is just a not pictured alternative load out.
  16. You are correct, they are the fighter-only VF100 releases. I like fighter mode the best when it comes to valkyries, so I did not mind ordering these got my display. Yes, these VF100 toys came with the little Sheryl and Ranka stands. I am not using them though, since I felt that the display connector piece that came with the VF100 toys might not hold the valkyrie securely and risk the fighter falling off. I have 2 more VF100 toys on the way... Alto's armored VF-25 and the Family Mart release. At some point, I may also get the transformable Michael, Alto and Ozma VF-25 toys as well.
  17. A couple of VF100's VF-25 toys I ordered from Jungle finally arrived. Part of me feels like that they, though longer than Hi-MetalR VF-1 toys, might be at a smaller scale factor than the latter. Are both supposed to be 1/100 scale?
  18. I am trying to re-organize my Macross toy shelf, to make room for a pair of DX Chogokin VF-22S (Max and Miria) that are on their way. I have grouped my Macross Plus toys together, including the YF-19 from Yamato, Arcadia, and Bandai DX Chogokin.. The lower shelves host my VF-1 collection, a VF-4G, two SDF-1's. VF-1 Armored Parts, etc. (not pictured). The top shelves now host my Macross 7 collection. The empty space shown above is where I will stick the two VF-22S. I sure hope this shelf does not fall apart from all the weight. (crosses fingers)
  19. Yeah, that is what I am using.
  20. Hee hee, thanks. Writing that was a nice diversion from me writing a paper proposing how to decrease the processing time spent performing Screened Poisson Surface Reconstruction to generate a water-tight mesh from a point cloud as part of a Free Viewpoint Video production pipeline.
  21. I wish the gun pod on the DX YF-19 attached better to the arm cannon in fighter mode.
  22. Interesting question. If we assume that the missiles equipped on both fighters are of equivalent capabilities (destructive yields, maneuverability, target tracking, etc.), then I see the following factors that should be considered. 1.) The YF-22 was shown to be much faster than a VF-11, which I will assume to be at least as fast as a VF-1. Assuming that the YF-19 is approximately as fast as the YF-22, then Isamu has a major speed advantage over Roy. 2.) The YF-19 has an arm shield equipped with a pin-point barrier. 3.) The YF-19 has a larger silhouette than the VF-1, which I see as being probably Ismau's biggest disadvantage. The YF-19's larger profile could potentially even expose more area for Roy to shoot at than what the arm shield can cover at any particular moment. This is assuming no super/strike parts or fast packs. Regarding super/strike parts and fast packs, I think Roy's VF-1 gains more benefit from them than Ismau's YF-19 does. 1.) VF-1 Super/Strike parts provide armor coverage that conceals more proportional surface area than YF-19's Fast Packs do. 2.) I have not seen any evidence that YF-19's Fast Packs contribute to its weapons load out. However, both VF-1's Super and Strike parts substantially increases the fighter's firepower. 3.) I do not believe the YF-19's Fast Packs contribute to the fighter's speed or maneuverability. However, the VF-1's Super/Strike parts do at least provide greater thrust. If we assume that Isamu's YF-19 has a big performance advantage over Roy's VF-1 when both are not equipped with Fast Packs, or Super/Strike parts, then I would contend that when those accessories are included, Isamu's advantage would be cut down, possibly significantly. I am not sure that Roy would ever had an advantage of Isamu when it comes to their planes, with the exception of the size difference, but with Super/Strike parts and Fast Packs equipped, maybe it will be a close fight... maybe?
  23. My pleasure. I am happy that someone from the forums gets to enjoy it.
  24. For anyone looking for a DX Chogokin YF-19, CDJapan has 1 in stock for 25,000 yen.
  25. Well, I do regret that... 1. I don't have any will power 2. I don't save any money 3. my toys take up so much space 4. I browse eBay, Jungle, AmiAmi, Mandarake, and CDJapan too much that it distracts me from school work 5. I spent so much on Macross toys 6. my mom will kill me if she discovers how much I spent Believe me, I am filled with a lot of regret. But, I do love valkyries in fighter mode. *sigh*
