For what it's worth: I ordered a Transformers Masterpiece BAPE exclusive from them a few years ago. It's value increased rapidly upon release date. I got an email from NY saying that the box was damaged and refunded me, no options given. Interestingly, the same thin happened to another member of TFW2005 - exactly the same email too. 'Integrity' isn't something I associate with Nippon-Yassan, they are a sly bunch (but you already knew that).

 

That is one serious shady business in my books with no options to choose from? Sounds like a true scammer, but instead of taking your hard earned funds and runs out the door, NY returns your money back.

On a side note: I've been reading ebay scammers on TFW2005 as well. Instead of what you originally ordered from, you get a bag of snacks or a cheap trinket in return.. Like SRSLY??

I was actually waffling on the HMR Super O as I wanted to get the VF-31s instead; however after seeing the pre-orders for the VF-31s close days later, I didn't want to take the chance on the Super O orders. One less thing to worry about now.  Kampai!!

I can put my Macross shelf up soon as they're still in their respected boxes presently.  

Hmmm.. Reading about the 31a snafus from the members that have pre-ordered from NY, hopefully that your orders for the 31s also from NY also doesn't get affected otherwise, there's going to be a sea of pitch forks, knifes, torches, emails et all towards NY.

Are the 31a being shipped at random at the moment from NY??

Not going to pre-order the VT-1 later on as I just made a pre-order on a 1/6 figure yesterday afternoon (as I have the funds set aside already). Will pick it up when the official release day is in August.

I'm actually still at work and on break right now. Hope that all of you get your pre-order for the VT-1 in with no glitches. 

Thanks to @F360and @no3Ljm for the two previous posts.. I might be possibly still up for the pre-orders and see the how the others are doing in this thread. May or may not participate in the hunt as I have a project that's due on the 16th of this month (worth 30% of the course mark).

I believe that @no3Ljmmade a post of all the time differences around the world in the VF-31 thread. Is there a possibility that specific chart can be reposted here as the pre-order for the VT-1 is arriving soon? If the VT-1 pre-orders are up on 4 pm Japan Standard Time then we can have a better visual understanding of which time zone of us members are in exactly.

I know that feeling too well.. My two separate purchases of the HMR VF-1J with the GBP and the HMR VF-2ss (Silvie) both from Manda from got dinged by CSBA upon arrival in YVR (paid roughly close to $120 CDN for both)..

As much as I like the SV-262 design and the price is affordable, I'm going to call it off for the time being as I have to save up for a 1/48 valk , a 1/6 figure and the HMR VT-1.

Good luck to for the other members who needs a Drakken for there collection.

@Shizuka the Cat: Arcadia's VF-1J with the GBP is getting hard to acquire these days. I could have gotten a copy upon relase day; however I've missed the boat as I've seen a listing of at 50k + yen on some auction sites.    

@Shizuka the Cat: That is quite a turnover from zero valks to nearly a platoon in a matter of a few weeks all thanks for us in enabling you (and more to follow I hope).

Hmm.. Going to get the SDF-1 either the regular format or the Premium edition?

As for the marriage part.. I think that our parents want their kids to grow up and start a family of their own so they push us to the limit.

Ready for the pre-orders in regards to the HMR VT-1 guys (this weekend or the next)? Hopefully that unforeseen circumstances don't hamper your efforts in acquiring a copy (or a few if you're troop building).

I'm actually thinking of the part when the Koening fires the nuclear warheads at Sara (as the Birdman) and Shin flees the area for safety as the warheads explode (Episode 5: Time frame of roughly 28:00 to 28:50). Just do the necessary changes as you see fit.

I hope that Bandai has learned after the VF-171 CF issue.. I actually like the VF-171EX Alto that I got a few weeks back despite the known issues and the super tight arm joints (should have gotten a small bottle of shock oil for the arms). Just doing the transformation from fighter to battriod and back is nerve wracking enough. I won't mind getting the Tan coloured variant if it gets released.

Hmm.. Just a thought here. Do you think that Bandai will limit the amount for Arad's 31s upon release like the 31a? If so then Bandai got some serious questions to answer.

@enphily has his ordered cancelled form Mykombini due to the lack of Bandai limiting the amounts of the 31a.

Looked at one listing that @chyll2 has linked for us to see and there's one listing asking close to $1K USD (or $1.3K CND).  Are you freaking dead serious??

But yeah, there is a thread about collecting MISB. Something like the Chunky Monkey is a classic. One of my favorite, if not THE favorite toy of all time. I've had one since original release and they've been around my life since. I know the toy very well...hell, I've won a Chunky Monkey transformation contest. Point being, I have the toy open and have played with it all my life. I have several versions of it because I collect toys. I don't need to open every one of them because I know what's inside and what it's all about. Looking at the shiny new box and just knowing I own it is plenty of enjoyment to me. Opening every one I own is not going to add anything to my enjoyment.

I can see why you want to preserve the 1/55 Ostrich and I don't blame you. There's actually an auction on ebay for the same copy of the 1/55 Ostrich asking for roughly $2,300.00 USD MIB (from fairwaycomicsncollectibles).  Hmmm.. In this case, you can still do your comparison pics with the boxed 1/55 and the HMR then.

On a side note, one of my friends from YYZ has acquired a G1 Grand Max from an auction six years ago and has it encased in a plastic prison (has opened up for verification purposes and authenticity) after that. Don't know if he still has it with him or had it shipped to his parent's/brother's house in YYZ for safekeeping as he is working in Mainland China.

I do agree with you there. The smoke weathering makes it more realistic and it adds more contrast as the first version looks like there's something missing.

Can you do a comparison pic with the HMR version when it gets released (if possible)? Despite that the Yamato/Arcadia valks in the 1/60 looks more suitable, I do miss the Chunky Monkey versions.
