Between that, the HM VF-1S, and the Macross Quarter that showed up on Mandarake for ¥8,000 my wallet is stinging from the impulse buys a bit.

I got one, I'm skipping the PF version of the VF-1Js, but I'm in for the SDF-1 and VF-0S. I'm not a huge fan of the solid red -1J, but for like $160 shipped I'll bite.

Try the new Action base 4 and 5, they each come with an extra articulated post with the correct peg size.

There's also a much shorter part with 5mm holes on both sides that comes with Bandai's new action bases, I'm using one of those on the stand of my Messer VF-1S to display in Battroid.

Mirage's set is going to end up quite expensive, I'm guessing, as it comes with the reaction missiles. Though hopefully we get the rest of Delta squad with those as well.

I think it actually may not fit with the door closed, though obviously won't be able to tell until the kit arrives (in like 2months, due to Private Warehouse). I was more surprised with the quantity, 20 of each type is more than I'd be able to find spots for.

So, just looked over the pics on Hobby Search of the kit contents and instruction booklet. Looks like the Monsters aren't standalone, they're part of the Daedalus. HOWEVER! It apparently comes with 60 standalone desdroid Phalanx, Defender, and Tomahawks.

Same, switched them to my "travel" card, without a currency conversion fee. Saves a bit compared to paypal.

(Puts on engineer hat) It's stronger the way they have it, you want alternating uni- or bi- directional layers when laying composite. Doing a seam of two different directions meeting in the middle creates stress concentrations.

I just wish Hasegawa would publish their ship dates like Bandai, checked online and then decided to not wait until the 14th (60days from oldest) to ship on the offchance it stocked.

Good thinking, I ought to pull out the TV missiles from my Messer's and stick them on the Roy's VF-1S, since both the boxes and reaction missiles look silly without the super/strike packs.

I don't have an HMR VF-1S Roy, I've got the 35th anniversary Messer VF-1S, which does come with the covers.

The HMR looks better in battroid, between the better head sculpt and the gap cover over the shoulders. That said, I've got mine set up in fighter right now, and sent the strike pack over to one of my HMRs instead.

Yup, wing pivots and the ball-joint for the front-half of the foot are pretty loose. Can still stand up in Battroid though.
