Considering the price difference, I'd say go with the Kai. ¥6000 yen more, comes with the missiles, and it'll probably have a larger value increase over time as it's limited.

Unfortunately that's how it goes when things are produced in a single run, not everything is going to be caught during prototype phase, or on the first few test units through the line.

If it's the YF-21 with the stand, I see them going for around $350 in good condition, so probably $300-$350, depending.

Yup, powder coat and paint are both available in the same colors and finishes, but powder coat is generally much more durable (and a bit thicker).

Puts on mechanical engineer hat. Considering the localized forces on those joints, metal is absolutely the way to go. Plastic would have fatigue issues pretty quickly around the ball-joint. However, instead of paint, a powdercoat would have been more durable.

The above stand is the Bandai Action Base, and it only works for the 1/72 scale Model Kit version. However, there are better stands available. Look up Yeti Stands (@ChaoticYeti makes them) or Flight Pose.
