  1. YF-21 please, Arcadia. Bandai's just started on their 1/48 line, whereas Arcadia's finished the main bunch (aside from Kakizaki and VF-1As), plus being different scale. From here I could see Arcadia going straight to the more valuable VF-1 versions, like VT-1, VF-1D, VE-1. They could also focus on non-macross stuff for a bit, and let the various SV-51 hold them over while they try to (re)engineer something new. Maybe they'll do a re-print of the Yamato VF-11?
  2. I reserve the right to disagree. My opinion on the prequels is best summarized as NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  3. Friday 12am PST, as in the midnight where Thursday becomes Friday.
  4. It's also interesting to note that the hardpoints aren't the standard Bandai style, they instead look very similar to the Yamato/Arcadia style.
  5. FYI, looks like the P-Bandai gold plated HG Phenex (narrative version) is a retail release in USA, USA Gundam Store's got it for $45.
  6. I see a huge amount of leg articulation, nice looking in all 3 modes, movable flaps, and even tampo of Hikaru Ichijo on the canopy frame. For under ¥20,000 Yeah, I'll get this, and prob the whole line.
  7. I think I'll skip supers for the Kairos, but I'd absolutely grab armored packs for all 3 of mine. If only for the weapons pod and arm gattlings. edit: Anyone who's gotten their VF-31S: does it look like there are changes for the armored pack? Extra tabs, slots, or the like?
  8. Reminds me of Gundam Heavyarms.
  9. Well, the art of the guy with the extending fingers, and Alita's various arms, makes me think that they're trying to be a bit true to the manga. So that's good.
  10. Pretty much. They already sell their 1/60 tampo'd VF-25 and -31 figures for lower retail than the Arcadia 1/60 VF-1 figures. When you add in that the VF-1 is smaller, and the Arcadia tampo'd premiums are almost ¥30,000 it's reasonable Bandai could undercut them.
  11. I want a Deculture/Itasha white night SV-262.
  12. I'm in for two, certainly. At the very least need Mao and Kurtz.
  13. CDJ just sent an email that they shipped my VF-31s as of about 8pm PST.
  14. Well, you're in luck. Looks like Bandai's in the 1/48 game now. 1/48 VF-1J pre-orders are this Friday JST.
  15. Ah, so you're the one. I'm interested to see how bad it is, since they listed at B grade.
  16. Don't use Tamiya washes on bare plastic, you must gloss coat first to keep the enamel thinner from eating your plastic.
  17. Damn, Mirage supers already up to 12k, glad I got one through pre-order.
  18. Fresh shipment from NY. Surprised at the size of the box for the GM Dominance, thought it'd be a small-form like the GM Sniper II.
  19. Creepy eyes and all, still making me want to pull the manga off the shelf and give it another readthrough.
  20. CDJ's showing in-stock, but they still haven't sent an email saying they've shipped my pre-order. Oh well. [edit] Going to the order says it's "In Shipping Process"
  21. Fortunately, modern plastic compositions are a lot more resistant to UV light than the stuff used in the 80s.
  22. Depends if Arcadia's announcing any VF-1 figures. If all they've got left to do are things like VF-1D/Elintseeker/Super Ostrich then I don't think Bandai's VF-1 will change much.
  23. The more people I see saying they're skipping, the more I'm hopeful the PO night will be easy. Also, the less I believe you all.
  24. Through Ebay, $125+shipping IIRC. Fairly good condition, a bit dusty, and one of the crossbar clips has a tab broken off (still in the box, haven't re-glued yet). Even has the gunstrap.
