all good advice about the 1/48 line also stay away from the 1st run of the 1/48 - most boxes will have velcro flaps - the point is that the nose cone tends to fall off and the wing flaps too

i think you should just go ahead and buy just 1 of them. whichever one you think is the best looking. you wont be disappointed. judge for yourself its worth getting the rest. I'd stay away from the 1/60 Mac Zero line for right now until things get better.

i dont see how Yamato could purposely stop midway in making something thats good and then use crappier material just b/c it was being sent out of Japan. As a consumer thats just offensive. I think that if we're having problems than so are Japanese consumers like it was said before maybe they dont take their toys apart. Perhaps they aren't reporting it. Although I think they'd be just as vocal about this.

Tisinc99 never did wrong by me but after reading all the horror stories why take the chance. Toys N Joys on the other hand - well .... that was unpleasant. Frankly their prices go up way too much for my taste. At this point I stick to stores with a proven track record. I'll come back if pricing is decent and items get shipped in a reasonable time frame. Keeping my collecting to just three brands makes this easier if no less expensive. Glad to see on HLJ that the re-issue is complete with FPs. At this point I'm just hoping Yamato completes the major mecha from the Macross Plus. I think I'm about done with Macross stuff atleast for now. I'd like to see the YF-21 and vf-11b and as the next in line and after that ... I think I'll stick to SOC. I dont know. Give my wallet a break.

I want them to produce a cartoon accurate Starscream but the panel line / weathering is crappy. thats what i meant. It doesnt even need to be weathered just make a clean version. Hopefully they'll get it right but if not ...

Huh? I thought he'd only gotten the replacement part not a whole arm as the Replacement. what are you supposed to do with the extra arms?

Starscream looks like crap. I cant believe some knuckle-head out there thought it was a good idea to paint it like this. It looks like somebody did a really piss poor custom job. This had better see alot of changes before it gets released b/c that paint/weathering needs to be cleaned up. If not then I'll go with Takara.

I rather they put everything into one box and really theres no need for a huge box. (unless its 1/48) i'd rather pay a fair price for a bunch of accessories as opposed to getting a "basic figure" and then haiving to pay for each upgrade. With that in mind yeah I'd buy a few.

Thats just too cool. if any body can help with this please pm me. so I got started on collecting the Getters and Mazinkaizer by aoshima. I was wonder if the numbering convention was pretty much like the SOC. ie: gx-04 and gx04b to designate different paint schemes or are all aoshima just numbered Sg-13 Getter regardless of paint application. i tried looking it up on robot japan I got the different versions that are available but not if the numbering was different. I know I could ask over there but I like to asking over here.
