  1. So are we looking at a hand full of new parts that just join the otherwise used parts in the kit bash of the battroid and fighter that a lot of people on here have made. So one could have just had a small parts kit and add two already available kits and eh voila !! Gerwalk
  2. This is one of the most anticipated kits that Hasegawa have made in the Macross universe.
  3. No chance of building it over the Christmas break then

    Macross 30

That's the real sucky bit about this gens consoles no back compatibility like the previous gens had.
  5. I want to see an actuall plastic test shot but I'm on board.
  6. Has anyone revived a notification on their preorder yet.
  7. Me too at first I thought well they didn't try hard on the design the just look like four black Lego bricks, once I saw the interaction and how they slotted into the ships, I was reminded that arms and legs are not always that usefull, and in space you don't really need a front or back, or even to be nicely shaped. They kinda stole the show, the way I forget which it was eyed the broken version before asking if he could help fix it was, really good, emotion shown from a black box, reminded me a bit of 2001's HAL how the voice added with a great camera angle gave you the implied emotion from a face made of immovable plastic.
  8. I also have used them both together but had a similar experience with an old kit, I put it down to the age of the decal sheet. I've just looked at my monster kit from 1984 which is waiting a major refitt the decals have done the same although back in 1984 I had no idea what I was doing and didn't even paint it green first, but I can remember them looking better, may be an age thing after all.
  9. LOL where I am it's sunny and there is a 7 in the temp but no 0's
  10. I had that where I used to work. We all had parcels delivered to work, every courier co and postal service visited everyday, our distribution dept was always staffed, so it was obvious send it to work and you'll never get carded because you are not in. I had a letter from the postal service saying they couldn't deliver the parcel because they couldn't find my address. I thought it was a prank by my colleagues, but nope they couldn't find it. I suggested they tape the parcel to the letter as the royal mail found it ok, they didn't find that helpful The next day the parcel was delivered, the usual driver he said the parcel wasn't on his drop, and couldn't believe it when he saw the letter, he put in a complaint for me, he said there is that much being delivered to us that you could send it to us using the company and post code only, all the staff at their depot knew who we were. If it were me I'd put in a dispute and then let the card co sort it out give em all the details and let them take up the bat.
  11. Looks like you dodged the majority of those bullets
  12. I think they are injector pins, you can also see sprew marks on the grey parts like they just slapped it together for a quick photo. IIRC I ihad an old Bandai kit that placed pins there too.
  13. I can't remember the last movie I saw and thought well that totally sucks. Paciffic Rim came close but I was more into the Macross inspired set peices anyway. I'll happily tear holes In the plot though of nearly sucky films. Most sucky films I get to endure on TV, then I can turn them over or go do some thing more exciting, like counting the blades of grass on my lawn. I too felt the sound mix sometimes lost the voice track. and the end bit although needed was disjointed, I felt I wanted to see more of the end bit. It's almost like when you have a film that's going to have a sequel, where they tease you with what's next. The robots designs I thought at first were odd but totally made sense in the end, the designs felt familiar, I think I've seen somthing like them before. They were obviously more practical that bipedal ones would be.
  14. Just got back from seeing it at our local cinema which was just refitted with IMAX for this release. We didn't get the greatest seats for the whole IMAX experience, though. Overall I liked the film, it was cinematically beautiful, there were bits of it where I thought oh that reminds me of.... But it still made for a great film. There was major plot device that reminded me of the major plot device in a Fredrick Pohl novel. I'm not gonna mention what here as it will be a spoiler. But anyone who's read enough of his books will know after seeing the film, which book I mean. It is going to be the SciFi bench mark for films now, serious SciFi can work in the cinema, my wife understood the plot even the science bits.
  15. I'm guessing Tenjin may have another book in the offing then
  16. Wouldn't it be easier to get a fast pack set and just cast the little sticky out bit (has it even got a name) and then paint and glue.
