  1. Seconded. 130 is about double the original MSRP. I know they’ve become more valuable, but I think you could get one for 8000-9000 yen via Mandarake eventually. @kyekye - That is a great looking stand!
  2. It would seem that with so much focus on the new DX VF-1 (and related add-ons) that Bandai hasn’t had the resources to devote to HMR lately.
  3. NY just sent me notification that my missile set has shipped.
  4. As great as it looks, below is the VF-1S I'm hoping Bandai eventually makes:
  5. Yes, please! More love for the TV styles.
  6. I got the preparation in progress email from NY for the missile set.
  7. Is this showing a comparison between Bandai, Yamato, and Hasegawa? If so, can someone point out which is which?
  8. So if anyone wants movie-colored strike parts at any time in the future, this seems to be the time to stock up.
  9. Yeah, and to have the complete strike valk, you have to be successful at not just one, but two POs.... On a different-but-related topic, aren't the DX missiles supposed to be released tomorrow? At least that's what NY's website is telling me.
  10. Yeah, I saw this some time ago. It does play the Gameboy Advance game. I keep thinking I should just go ahead and get the cartridge of that. And @sh9000, I remember seeing those Pac Man mini-cabinets in catalogs back in the '80s and wanting one so badly!
  11. My feelings exactly.
  12. It's also very close to the Transformers G1 Jetfire scheme.
  13. It’s interesting that we are seeing more of these physical re-releases of old carts, but I don’t really get the appeal of a re-release when the original is pretty common, like with Street Fighter 2. If it were a more rare title (Metal Storm) or an import (Holy Diver) then I think it makes a lot more sense. Especially when the prices are as high as they are for the re-releases.
  14. Good idea, but I don’t think that’s it. I just checked 6 HMR VF-1s (including my Ostrich and 1D) as well as 2 Hi-Metals, and they all look like your VT-1, with the rectangular part oriented towards the inside of the leg on both sides. My 1D right foot seemed a little stuck, but @Chronocidal‘s suggestion to push up on just the heel worked pretty well for me.
  15. While I know what I’d like to see as the next Macross HMR, I’d be happy with any announcement at all, to know that the line is alive and well.
  16. The issue isn’t the adapter itself, since the VT-1 comes with the “non-super” version of the adapter. There’s a clearance issue with the width of the adapter once the armor pieces are attached to the legs, since the VT-1 doesn’t have arm armor. It seems to work fine if you lower the arms down to be flush with the legs.
  17. And the age ranges almost exactly parallel the age of the shows themselves. In other words, people prefer whatever was new when they were teenagers. This is a fascinating — if not that surprising — study in Macross fandom demographics.
  18. The regular fighter mode stand adapter also comes with the armored VF-1J GBP and the VT-1. It’s included with the older Hi Metal (non-R) VF-1A and VF-1J releases as well.
  19. I’d personally be nervous about mounting a fighter-mode valkyrie using one of the tube extensions. I’ve done it, but not for long. It’s not sturdy enough in my opinion. Battroid’s another matter, since the mass is distributed differently.
  20. I wonder why KC didn't go with more of a green color for the FAST packs? The blue has more of a DYRL look to me.
  21. Technically, that VF-1S isn’t from the HMR line; it’s from the earlier Hi-Metal line. And no, it doesn’t come with a gun strap. I think that’s some custom work that @sh9000 did.
  22. My username heartily approves of this comment. The missiles and pilots definitely make it look more “military.” I had thought of doing the same with the CF pilots. Glad to know they work well.
  23. Yeah, we basically know nothing as far as future releases at this point.
  24. Wow, that’s a lot. Though they appear to be selling for well over $400 US on EBay.
