  1. Takes 1-2 months for me, tracking works fine but I don't bother checking it often, Just let it show up when it shows up, insurance is included but limited, again I don't pay attention or care about insurance, best for big, heavy items or multiple items. I always ship anything with ferry as long as the price is cheaper. The $10-$20 or more I've saved more than covers any insurance that I would ever need to use.
  2. Best shipping to me is the Ferry option NY offers. For anything bigger than a single or two small action figures, it always saves me money and I get the same item. Just takes a month or two.
  3. Yep, if it makes anyone feel better, I’ve been at this for a while and consider myself a seasoned veteran at getting preorders and I still don’t have a DX VF-1S secured. I had a chance at NY’s first round of markups for around 24,000Y but I refuse to pay that kind of markups so I’m taking my chances that I can get one between now and sometime shortly after release. May the Force be with me. I think the current markup at NY is an absolutely more sane way to go if you want to guarantee that you secure one but I’m stubborn, lol!
  4. Just to clarify, NY will markup after a certain initial preorder amount is reached. Before that, they always have the lowest price. So depending on how popular, and most Macross is popular relative to the amount produced, it’s best to get in early. @sqidd, you got the best deal on the SSP and if you want to have SSP for any other later release, you should order however many you want now. Those being Tamashii Web Exclusive releases mean they will never be reissued in the same form again. So unless they decide to release a Valk with SSP included or some different color/version of the SSP, this is the only chance to get them. As for the Valk, original preorder price was a bit over 16000 yen at NY so that gives you an idea how much cheaper they can be compared to everyone else if you get an order in time but also shows how much they markup if you miss out.
  5. Wise move. No problem and congrats, I think you'll be a happy camper.
  6. Cool! Just take note that the SSP you ordered are the second run which releases in April because the first run sold out almost immediately. If you ordered together, they will send everything when both in stock. If you can’t wait for the Valk, you can split the order.
  7. The S&S parts are available for order currently at Nippon Yasan. Your best bet is to order them from there now.
  8. Instead of decals, the Premium Finish is fully tampoed from the factory. It just depends on if you care about all that or not. If not, I’d still recommend getting the non PF version from Arcadia. Check anymoon.com for detailed comparisons and differences explained on all the releases from Yamato to Arcadia. If you want 1/48, I love the Yamato but at this point, I think you should wait for the inevitable Bandai DX release and join the bloodbath of trying to secure that version.

Sometimes I prefer to get “used” from Mandarake. Not because of price but because you know they inspected it and the figure is all good whereas a new figure could have unknown issues.
  11. Yeah, the Spartan is a really great figure. I just put the Dougram stuff above it because the bigger scale and more accesories. All great toys and I love all HMR releases but it is odd for me to prefer mostly non-transforming mecha over transforming ones in a line. It's just that they seem to put the extra effort into engineering the articulation and providing quality materials when they don't need to worry about transforming. The figures have so much personality and "life" in them.
  12. I will always say that these releases are better than pretty much any Macross HMR release except the Monster but that thing is SOC level.
  13. Oh my goodness, how fun it is! https://www.walmart.com/ip/Go-Gater-2-in-1-Easy-Setup-Tomahawk-Toss-and-Archery-Set/846868749 The bow and arrows kinda suck but the hatchetes are great! However, the fun goes into overdrive when you get some of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001OCQJ3U/?coliid=I3RPVJ8ZWDW3VC&colid=3PVQ2PXJJ7BQ6&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004NGGRXG/?coliid=I6S2Q17U8IFJE&colid=3PVQ2PXJJ7BQ6&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001OCZBSE/?coliid=I2G1Z1P9RAT4XP&colid=3PVQ2PXJJ7BQ6&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it My kids can't run around outside with real shurikens like I used to, throwing them at trees and fences all day but this is just about as good as it gets. I've been playing it constantly since I got it and my kids each have their shurikens in hand or at their side at all times when we're at home.
  14. Oh hell, I friggin love this thing! This line doesn't cease to amaze me everytime I open a new one.
  15. Oh wow, that is really sweet! KG actually looks smaller than I thought it was next to Godzilla there.
  16. Probably the greatest toy I bought in a long time. But even better than the throwing axes it came with... Ninja shuriken training! The kids absolutely love this! Actually, the whole fam loves it and my wife was the one who said we had to get it after seeing it at a friend’s house. I had to step it up with the ninja action though.
  17. Nice setup! I always wanted to get something like that.
  18. I love the 262, especially in Battroid and Gerwalk mode. It looks fantastic in all modes though. Only reason I don’t take advantage of the deals is I already have two from the day it came out.
  19. Aw hell, I never even thought about the idea that the Bat Signal actually works. Awesome!
  20. You just reminded me about the wing thing and mine does have that issue. It is such a minor issue to me that I forgot about it but it is annoying when I think of it. Hopefully we see an overall manufacturing improvement when the 1A comes out.
  21. Am I mistaken that I thought I saw these with the larger grenade options for the waist? I know the 1/60 design definitely had them but for some reason I thought they made them for this second 1/100 wave too.
  22. Yeah, I'm all for PF because I don't have the time to do it myself and I would suspect that even if I did, the time would be worth way more to me than the charge for them to do it. Either way, I don't care if PF or not but if they have the ability to give us better looking toys right out the box, I'd rather them just do that than make both and charge way more for the PF. I think a toy should be good to go out the box without modifications needed. If I wanted to do all that, I would buy a model. If some people want to further modify their already good toy, that is awesome and totally up to them.
  23. Super wallet depleting powers maybe. I chalk it up to manufacturer variance.
